Yay! More people joining the fun!

We got our underwater digital camera today, can't wait to try it out!
Tomorrow I am off to get my hair cut, trying to decide if I should chop it off or leave it a bit long for the cruise

Hey Maureen! I just noticed you had a picture of SSR in your signature. Are you DVC members? We have been members since 2002. Our home resort is BCV.

Yes, we joined on NYE cruise 07. We love it have stayed at SSR and Wilderness Lodge. Our DD and her DF along with our other DD and DBF are at OKW now celebrating oldest DD birthday!!

Thought I'd better chim in since it has been a few days...didn't want you to think that I jumped ship with Tink!!!!!!

Tink, our family is sad that "The Tink" family will not be with us...guess I will have to find someone else to join me in the late night buffets & chit chat time!!!
You have fun at DW... we will raise our glass high to you as we set sail!!!!! And no that you will me missed!!!

I have to tell everyone about my Cruise NIGHTMARE I had just last night!!!!
We were setting at our table for our first dinner, I was busy talking to everyone, when all the sudden they bring out our food....I said "oh I haven't ordered yet", only to be replied with oh...we ordered for you. I politely said "Thank-you" all the time I was thinking OMGosh I knew exactly what I wanted to order, because I have been checking out the menus on-line.

When I got my food it was all the WRONG stuff, some kind of sea food soup and i didn't like it!!!!! (which is kinda odd since I pretty much LOVE most all food)
SO while you all are fearing missing the boat...my main focus is on the FOOD!!!!!!
That was my only dream so far about this trip...guess you can tell what I am looking forward to the most LOL!!!!

Welcome Joe and Maureen!!! Great to have you joining us on this board and look forward to seeing you onboard. We have a cruise meet planned for 3:00 pm the first day. Johnna can probably fill in the details better than I can.

Wanda, as Tink said, don't go spending all your Bushwhacker money on pictures... Prioritize, girl!!!

Tink, since you won't be with us, I will graciously volunteer to take your coveted place in one very important capacity... I hereby pledge that in the spirit of the Tink family, the RookieMouse family will endeavour to be LATE FOR EVERYTHING!!! (Trust me, this will NOT be a stretch for us).

One of the things we plan to do on this cruise is attand the DVC seminar. We have been thinking about DVC for awhile now, although the economic conditions are not the best at the moment. On the upside, there are a TON of contracts on the resale market right now, for very good prices... Donna, I am jealous... BCV is my very first choice for a home resort, although AKL and VWL are fighting for second place. We'll see what happens.

Three weeks from right now, I hope to have just boarded and be sipping on my first drink.

OMG, I checked my mail and I saw that my name was on a dreaded jury duty summons!
THEN, I opened it and it said I had to report on 3/05/09!!!! I was like "NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
These jury summons letters always have the WORST timing! I started freaking out and pulling my hair out, then my hubby told me I could postpone it. That's why I love him. He keeps me sane.
So, I just called right now and postponed it to 3 weeks after the cruise, so WE ARE GOOD TO GO!!!
21 more days!!

I just told my family a little while ago, as everyone was asking "What's for Lunch...that three weeks from today we will be sitting in Parrot Cay EATING lunch!!!! YUM!!!!

I have another call probably at around 12 or 1 am today, and another one dropping by extremely early Monday before work.

At least I get a whole hour for every call I take to add to my Cruise bank.

You will see me at the terminal sooo early it won't even be funny

DH says he would love love love for the space shuttle to launch while we are on port. He has been wanting to see one go up for ages, he actually was an intern at NASA back in the day when the space program was put on hold and that was one of the things he was most disappointed about.

They keep postponing the launch for February, so I am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for incredible luck so we coincide with it!

Hi y'all! I've been lazing around today and working on my door signs for the cruise although I should have been outside more enjoying the beautiful weather in Missouri.

I know we had a couple of signs on here for the Bushwacker Banditos but I had some time so here is the sign I came up with for our gang!

And here it is if anyone else would like to use it and add their own name.

In three weeks, we'll be on the Magic!!!!!!

DH is even getting excited and showed me which clothes he wanted to take for dinner each night! So now I guesss I can start ironing....since Dave never got back with me or Brenda...

No seafood soup for me either! YUCK!!!!!

Maureen, I'm glad you like your DVC too! Our kids were older when we bought and we still feel like it is one of the best investments we ever made.

John, You won't go wrong if you decide to buy into DVC. But....buy where you want to stay!!!! We had stayed at Y&BC before they built the BCV so we knew we were going to buy there as soon as we heard they were building it. We have stayed at BWV and VWL too and enjoyed them both but we still prefer BCV. We will be staying at AKV for a couple of nights after our cruise which we are excited about too.

Hey donna great signs. I wish I was that creative when it comes to art like that. I do have one question, and I do not mean it as a critizim but more as a curiosity. Why does all things DCL have to be about Pirates? I am just wondering. Personaly I am so over the pirate thing, I am not looking forward to the pirate buffet. I wish they would come up with something different. Again Donna I do think you did a great job.

OOOOOOOooooooooooooo I hadn't thought about that John, what a good idea! .... I would SO LOVE to steal away someone's vacation dreams for rockbottom prices! I want to be the John D. Rockefeller of DVC! But it all cheap cheap cheap and hold on to it!


OK... just having fun for a minute being a meanie...

Hey guys...we're back. Did you miss me? I know there aren't any Disney hotels there, but the north German islands are a wonderful secret! Those of you who remember what the Jersey shore was like way way way way way back before it was all built up and full of crap...well... that would be Sylt, Amrum, Föhr and the rest of the Fresian islands. Wild dunes with crab shacks hidden here and there in them, miles of unspoiled beaches, cute little houses, old hotels and boardwalks/promenades... too bad it was colder than a witch's Brustwarzen.

While we were gone we received our Disney docs in the mail so all is well. I just have one more week of work...the pub crawl in London this Friday and two days of work next week. Then we're off.

I can't wait!

It has finaly sunk in. As I sit here and watch the Lakers play on ABC, I just realized I will be doing the same thing three weeks from today as the Lakers are on ABC that day as well.
