February 28, 2009 Bushwacker Banditos Magical Cruise

I love the new thread name!! :rotfl:

Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far!
I'm happy cause I finally got my planning docs! WOOO HOOO! :woohoo:

Okay, since I have never mastered the double quoting in a single reply, :headache: I will try to reply from memory..... Lady Story has trie dto help me learn, but no luck....:sad2:

So, 1st- Donna, Love the new name.... When I got on today, I noticed it right away. Now people really are going to think we are :drinking1 4sure.... Let us just make the record straight.... The only Lush onboard is BJ....:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Just joking.... love ya girl....

RJ and Mister Story, Where is the Tink husband going to fit in with the Village People??? Which one can he be? I think he should be the cop???? I think John should join in too. BJ, do you have that You tube link???

Wanda- I got you PM, I will rePM you. Also about your flight.... It really is not that long... Grant it we have late dinner, but by the time we get off the ship and even using DCL transfers and doing exspress luggage check in, we do not have much time at the airport and we have a 1:15 flight usually. So, I saw by the time you eat breakfast. Check out Shutters for last minute stuff. Mosey off the ship, through customs, to the bus and to the airport it will be a lot later than you think. If you are checking your own luggage, that will take even more time. We always swing by the Disney store in the airport because believe it or not, it is cheaper there than WDW sometimes. There are a couple of other shops there too. I would then head through TSA and that will take a bit. Grab some lunch and check in at the desk. Not much after, you will be boarding your plane. It goes really fast. Once we actually thought of moving our 1PM flight to 3, because 1 was pushing it close... So I do not think you have time to make too many plans.

Johnna, you let the passport expire? Isn't it more money then? We try to keep ours so they will not expire. Ours are good until April for the kids, so I have to place that in the back of my mind...

Yes, thanks for the congrats, but the subcontractors are driving me bonkers.... It is a lot more work than I thought it would be. I have to go take pictures and post them if you guys are interested. I can not do the sound effects and stuff like Johhna does as I just learned how to post simple pictures... I am not the computer one if you had not noticed.:surfweb: :headache:

Now Jen's case is a little different.... 8PM is a long time. You may need to look into the day room rate at the Hyat. I heard it was like 75 bucks.... Marla may know. :thumbsup2

It's okay. Some people are computer challenged; others are not. Either way, I still like you. ;)

Hmmm... sounds to me like Tink has a thing for men in uniform...;)

Wanda - just remember - the Tink family is LATE FOR EVERYTHING. And I'm not telling secrets here... she is more than proud of this character flaw and has said it herself many times. So my point is: do you really want to take Tink's advice on timing anything??????:rolleyes1

It cost the same as usual ($65 + $25 "processing fee") - maybe because it was a child's? It was issued when he was 2 and expired after 5 years. I didn't have to pay anything extra...as far as I know...

Hope everyone's having a great day!! Johnna:yay:

Yeap, I guess you have to take more time with my lessons....:goodvibes :lmao: I am happy you are my friend....

Hmmm... sounds to me like Tink has a thing for men in uniform...;)
Well, what can I say???? I am addicted to a cruise ship. Lot's of NICE Uniforms there.:rotfl2:

Oh Wanda, do not listen to them... Minnesota people are NEVER late.:lmao: Except the Tink family..... :lmao:
Oh I now get it, isn't that the reason everyone booked St. Croix so that The Tink Family would not hold up the ship with AM Customs????
:rotfl2:

Cool, that is good to know. Happy you caught that before the cruise... Oh, Miss Organized would have not missed it anyway.

Hey Johnna how many bags are you allowed?? This time we did not have to book the room just for our stuff.....:rotfl2:

so, everyone should be prepared I have my camera with me at all times during the cruise, so if anyone of you does something embrassing it might end up on youtube. I was just watching my dvd from last cruise and 2006 cruise both on the magic and got some pretty embrassing stuff on them:lmao:, I'm so evil pirate:

I can't do this either! I have tried several times, but just can't make it "go". Can anybody give any suggestions?

I'd love it if you could post some pictures - building a house is so exciting! Are you and your husband acting as the general contractors? When we built we went through a builder, and that was enought stress. Good for you, and congratulations again!

Let the little monsters come!!

I would like someone to help me find the recipe for the bushwackers again.. I looked through the posts and can't find it!!:confused3 I want to tell dh what I am so all excited about!!

So, 1st- Donna, Love the new name.... When I got on today, I noticed it right away.

All the credit belongs to Rookie Mouse who first came up with the name and to 3Charbys who suggested we change the name of the thread. I just did the changing after going to the tech board to figure out how to do it. :confused3

And as you can see, Tinker and Carolyn, I can't do the double quotes either where your name shows up. I just click on the quote sign and then copy and paste. So Johnna, what is the secret???????

Now Marla...you wouldn't do any thing like that to your cool Bushwacker Bandito friends...especially when some of us (namely ME) that can't even watch youtube because I can only get dial up way out here in the sticks of rural Missouri. Besides, I'm sure we will all be perfect   !!!

Would love to see the house pictures too!

3Charbys--Love your Halloween decorations. I used to love to decorate for Halloween but with the kids grown and no grandkids and living out in the country, we just don't get any trick-or-treaters so I now pour all my energy into Christmas!!!!

We had movie night at home tonight-DH, DD, and I. Watched Made of Honor and What Happens in Vegas! Cute romantic comedies--chick flicks but DH "suffered" through most of them. He's a sweetie!

I found Donna's original post:

Here is a recipe for Bushwackers from the VI: Equal parts of:

Rum
Vodka
Amaretto
Kahlua
Baileys
Coco Lopez (cream of coconut)

Blend with ice and top with nutmeg.

I recently had my first ever Bahama Mama (not on a cruise, but at a Neil Diamond concert - yes, I'm old ;) ) , and I have to say - they are very delicious as well. I have no clue what's in those either, but I could be easily swayed to join a BM club as well. (ok - I'm a nurse, and as I read that last sentence, it could be taken one of two ways :scared1: . I mean it in the alcoholic beverage way  )

Carolyn

Well,

The winter will begin with my Autumn of Discontent. I had to go jinx it, and yes, my beloved Red Sox are not going to the World Series. I had thought that it was a given, going seven games, but it was not to be.

Time to don the sweaters, think about winter, and focus on the cruise.

<sigh>

sorry to say, I am happy Red Sox aren't going to the World Series, Celtics won this year that's enough Boston teams winning one year:lmao:

I appreciate you finding that thread and reposting the drink recipe! :goodvibes
Dh had a look at it and wondered...so isn't there any mix in this drink??:lmao:
I like Bahama Mamas too by the way!!
I KNOW I will be trying all the drinks of the day that is for sure! (even if it is just one).;)

Then I have to keep reminding myself, that this cruise really is all about Lauren and us celebrating the fact that we got through this whole cancer scare. :cutie:

I hope you all have a great Tuesday!

4 months 1 week to go! :yay:

I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.....
I need this cruise to get here already!

I can't wait for the cruise:goodvibes, coming soon but not soon enough and super excited more then you guys because I'll be on for two weeks:cool1: :lmao:

So I had to take up Johnna's challenge, although I am no graphic artist by any stretch. So here we go...

First the "official" logo of the cruise...

Banditos1.jpg

...and then, listening to all you ladies bantering about who was buying etc., seeing this image inspired me to create the "unofficial" thread logo...

Banditos2.jpg

I'll leave it to the discretion of the Banditos themselves as to which one to use, and who is who in the princess picture :rotfl:

John

By the way, all credit for these images (as opposed to the text I added) goes to the original creators who posted them on the graphics section of the DIS. Thanks!

Great Job John!! I love the logos!!!:woohoo:
Thanks so much for coming up with the name too!!pirate:
