February 27, 2011 - 4 Night on the Disney Dream!

Does anyone think it is doable to do the Princess half the morning of the cruise??? I am really pondering it, but realize it will be a tight turn around....

Someone wanna tell me "heck yes!!!" or "no way crazy woman!!!!". Dh has given me the crazy woman answer....,

CRAZY?? I don't know, however our DD has run this as well as the Jan. WDW marathon every year for the past 7 years. Since she is coming on the cruise (we are driving from her townhouse 1/2 mile from MK) I think it might be a tight time fit. You should consider running the CC morning 5K instead. I beleive they give you a certificate of completion. She has done this 2 times before.

Let's see if any other disers are interested in the CC run.

Hi, I am Phil, my DW and I are traveling with our DD Kaitie and her DBF Mark this is our 8th cruise and DD 6th. We are in 7606 and DD in 7604. Our other DD and family DH, DD, DD (twins age 7) and DS (5) are also on cruise but have (Wisely) not told us where they are. The 4 of us are also on the 10/23 Magic cruise, I will spend most of my time on that link until we get back in Nov. We are AVID Disney fans and DVC members since 1993.

We are looking forward to the cabin tour, fish extenders, and meeting old and making new friends. While we live in NJ we are both original OHIOians. Dayton and Cleveland.

Welcome! Lakewood here! I moved to (eeekkk) Bronco country and refuse to convert to the blue and orange.

Wish I could be there for F & W !!! But I'm not complaining because I just booked my flights for the WDW Radio cruise! Looks like we'll be staying a couple of days at WDW after the cruise!:cool1:

I will stay far, far away from Cape Canaveral on 2/26! I just hope the launch doesn't get rescheduled for Sunday if it can't go up Saturday. I don't want any traffic problems as I drop-off my rental car Sunday morning!

We are flying in on the 25th to try and get a good view of the launch!

We tried to watch the night launch last Feb but it was delayed so we missed that one....

We booked our air last weekend:cool1:Not a Southwest fan, but that is where the going was good. Get in on 2/25, spending the night at the Hyatt, then heading to Port with my folks on the 26th. Seems a bit more "final" now....just gotta pay off that last final bit of the cruise:headache:

Two-Foxes,

I noticed that you are from Fort Collins, Colorado. We have a vacation home in Westcliffe, Colorado, in Custer County. We love spending time in the mountains!!!

I just noticed this...sorry it is a few days late:surfweb:! My sister lives in Palmer Lake, so not sure if you fly into Denver and drive down, but you would pass her area on the way down 25.

My parents summer down in Ouray and they LOVE it!

We usually fly into the Springs because it is closer, but we have used DIA because of better flights times and scheduled activities in Denver. This summer we spent a few days hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park and went to see the Rockies play in Coors Stadium.

I see there are a few Ohio/Cleveland fans on board. My Dad grew up in Garfield Hgts., so we spent several weeks during the summer there. Love going to see the Indians and Browns play.

Another steamy day in Florida!

I can't recall whether I have posted in this thread or not yet, so here goes.
Me:earsgirl:, DH Gunny:earsboy: and DD Annie princess: are going , too!!! We are definitely interested in a FE exchange. I have put our info in the google spreadsheet that was listed in the thread several pages ago. Can't wait to meet everyone!!!

That's cute.

I knew one person in the military (Army) by that name and they used to call him by his complete name.

Well, now that my summer vacations are over, I've finalize a few plans for this trip.

2/25 fly to MCO, stay at AKL
2/26 AKL
2/27 town car booked for a.m. pick up to go to port
3/3 start 2nd half of B2B
3/6 pick up Budget rental, probably DTD for lunch/shopping, then drive to TPA for flight home

I saw the Kids Sail Free offer for the Magic during this week, so I checked it out - it is only for verandah cabins, so it would cost $1000 more than my Dream B2B in an inside cabin. I'll stick with the new ship and save some $$$.

I'm also back to planning our trip since summer is wrapping up! Booked our flight and we aren't flying back until the day after we get off the ship so we have an entire day to plan something.

So question for you all who know Orlando and Disney better than me (which isn't hard because I don't know much) If you only had one day in Orlando what would you do? My kids will be 12 and 8 (boy than girl) Any ideas?

Also I know this has been posted before but I think it's been awhile and we seem to have lots of new people on here, so here goes again. There is a kids link page that's been set up so the kids can make some friends before the trip. My daughter is loving this and gets really excited when someone posts back to her. There is hardly any kids on it yet though and I'm thinking since we're going on a Disney Cruise there must be more kids who have parents on this board! So if you think you're kids would enjoy posting here's the link

Magic Kingdom - might be your best choice
Epcot is cool, not as much stuff for kids as mk
Animal kingdom closes too early
Disney studios gets really crowded. You see a lot of cranky kids.
MK also has a lot of stuff for parents
That's only my observation

Thanks - what a choice the more I look at things to do in Orlando the more I want to do!

Do you mean Orlando or Kissimmee or WDW?

I live in Kissimmee - it is much easier to get to than Orlando. The traffic for Orlando on I4 is a pain.

WDW has a lot of places, Of course Universal now has Harry.
