As far as I know, it was started by a meet thread here on the Dis as a way to exchange little gifts among those who "met" each other on the thread (new cruisers, returning cruisers, family, etc..... any one who wants to do it!) Totally voluntary participation...as the cruise gets closer, we'll get a list going of those who wish to exchange gifts and all you need to do is choose a day to make the rounds to the participating staterooms to drop off your gifts!

We just booked a 9A. This is my 2nd cruise (not Disney) and dh's 1st cruise.

We Did It!!!!! WE Did It!!!! . So excited! We booked our first cruise for the 4 of us and convinced my parents to join us too -both in category 8Ds. They also have never cruised!!! What makes this especially great is that not only has my Mom and Dad never cruised but, my Dad (60) has never taken a vacation except maybe a few days locally. I have been working on getting him to Disney for a long time. He has recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Drs are very optimistic about the treatments being effective at stopping it. He came to me a couple of weeks ago and said he wanted to go to Disney and thought we should look into the cruise too! Well, it did not take me long to start pricing. My brother's and sister's families will be meeting us for days at WDW as well. It will also be my Mom's B-day. We are going to try to keep the cruise portion a surprise from our 5 and 7 year olds.

Well, I'm excited!!! I purcahsed one-way airfare today to get to this cruise! I know I'm buying really early, but with it being a school vacation week here, I find it is usually better to buy early. I saw Delta had a NS Boston to MCO for $124, so I decided to go ahead (we paid about $310 for r/t Manchester to MCO this February) and hope I can get a similar deal on the other leg once it is released.

I booked an evening flight on Friday, 2/25. We will stay at AKL Friday and Saturday nights and then to the Dream on Sunday! We have park tickets, so I figured we might as well spend Saturday at a park before the cruise.

I haven't thought that far ahead to buy airfare! The airline I would probably fly (AirTran) is just booking through November now. Tentative plans are to fly to Orlando on Thursday, 2/24, stay off-site 3 nights and go to Universal, cruise, then stay at WDW 5-7 nights.

We'll be flying Southwest so we have awhile...BTW...did you hear SW finally joined Magical Express? Now I'm thinking I should come down a couple days ahead of our cruise too!! AFter all...Feb 27 is a Sunday..could definitely consider Saturday in the Parks!

Hi all, we may be joining you on this one. We are currently booked on the Mar 6 sailing but are trying to switch due to my sister's work schedule. We'll probably be in 2 Cat 9. Us and DS and then my parents and sis. We'll be celebrating my parents 40th anniversary. We have all done the Wonder before but the Dream just looks amazing.

We are flying the the day before and spending the night at port. Then head to WDW for few days. Hopefully it will work out that I can do the 5k or half for the Princess Half weekend. But somehow, I don't think my eating adventures on the cruise will be all that great to get me ready for any race

We are booked on this cruise in a 10a...looking forward to that virtual porthole as well! Husband, Son (12) and Daughter (9) will be sailing as well.

We have kids the same age (almost) I have a son who is going to be 12 on the cruise and a daughter who will be 8. They are totally excited and totally bummed by how far away it is!

Hi all

I've been booked for a few months now. We're doing a B2B - totally excited. We planned on giving the trip to the kids (12 and 8 by then) for Christmas. Except I was about to burst!!! So we decided to do it for Easter. If anyone is interested in how we surprised them you can check this out: w w w treyandcorina dot com. They had to find all the letters that made up the web site name in plastic eggs and then put the words together. Sooooo Funnnn!

We could have done this at Christmas by wrapping up letters in different sized boxes but... well as I said I couldn't wait that long!

But glad you are joining us! We have 3 boys ages (at cruise time) 12 ,8 and 5.
We are currently expecting a baby but don't know what it is yet...tho I am sure that after 3 boys we all know it will be a boy also. Since this was such a shock to us and so not planned we have decided not to tell just yet. And so we went to our OB appt. Thursday and they couldn't find a heartbeat we have to now go in next week for a ultrasound. I am so worried.....But I still feel sick and tried all the time so hopefully it is just a fluke??
So sorry to dump on everyone but since you all are the only ones that know I had to tell

Just to hopefully offer you a little reassurance, the docs were unable to find my baby DS's heartbeat at the 12 week appt. As I am sure you know with your three lil ones already, positioning can be everything, particularly in the early stages. The nurse also kindly hinted to me that belly fat (how nice is that....) can also make the heartbeat in the early stages more difficult to find. I, too, had to go back a week later and he obviously moved, or perhaps I lost a bit of belly fat , but all was well. I hope it is for you too! You will stay in my thoughts.

I wouldn't be able to keep it a secret either, I can hardly handle christmas
We have 4 girls 14,12,7,22 months , They actually calculated the odds of that in my daughters math class , I think it's like less than 15% chance , I can't remember. Anyway her teacher said we should play the lottery more often...lol. Good luck with your newest little one , they sure do move around alot when there that little. I'm sure everything will be fine. But I know it's impossible not to worry when your pregnant

That is concerning. I can't believe they make you wait an entire week for an ultrasound, couldn't they have just done that then? Let us know when you hear anything. I'm sending good thoughts your way.

On a more happy note 3 boys! That is one busy household I'm sure. They must be so excited about the cruise. Is this your first Disney Cruise?

Thanks for all the kind thoughts I truely apperciate them!! I really believe everything is ok! I was scared and upset at first but I still feel sick and I am tired all the time I just don't feel normal (whatever that is) tho I wasn't sick like this with all 3 of my boys I am a little older this time (32) than I was with the others so I am sure that plays a part and everyone is different everytime... I think?
I do keep having dreams at night that it is a girl and I wish that would stop my mind is playing tricks on me and it is not nice!! I am not allowing myself to even think in that direction. But again thaks for all the kind thoughts!!

This is our first Disney Cruise but our 8th cruise as a family!! We have been to the parks a few times but this will be a first for us as far as having a infant that little at the park and on a cruise but we are bringing grandparents so we will have lots of help
Hope everyone has sunshine like we are having here!! It is wonderful we planted a garden full of fruits and veggies this weekend!
