FE IDEAS for ADULTS :

Homemade CD's w/ beach music , candy, Pringles, glo necklaces, night lights, highlighters, keychains, magnetic signs for door, nuts, travel size flavored coffeemate, bookmarks, do not disturb door signs, travel size sunscreen, thankyou notecards for crew members, disp H2O camera, suzuko or crossword books, anything from you're home town, towel clips for CC or verandah, bath nets w/ shower gel, cute cocktail napkins, etc.

Hi all (and Gina, this is probably directed primarily at you as the FE organizer) --

About half of my FE goodies are best suited for use on the cruise, but it just occurred to me that my delivery day is the last day on the boat. Any chance I could deliver the cruise-use half early in the cruise, and the take-home half on Friday? I notice from the FE list that Tuesday only has one other person delivering; could I do the cruise-use half on Tues?

We are sooooooooo excited!

Hello veteran cruisers, if we book a future sailing on the magic what type of on board credit do they offer?

On the Jan. 30th sailing:

Booking onboard was 10% discount for all cat. 4-11 on all cruises except the Maiden Voyage of the Dream. $125 deposit per person. $100 OBC for less than 7 nights and $200 OBC for 7 nights and longer.

There was a 20% discount for select 2010 med cruises (like 4-5) which came with a $400 OBC.

I copied this response from another recent thread. I also ,learned from a post that you can make a "ghost" res and only have to pay deposit for 1 person. It would be worth asking about

We may need to pass out our f/e gifts early as well. Sorry-I know how you worked hard to get a schedule together But I wasn't thinking and it might be better if we pass out earlier in the cruise.

We want to spend some time at the beach in St. Maarten but we weren't sure where to go. I have read lots of good reviews on Orient Beach, however, lots of people said the water was rough with an under tow. What is your experience? Is there another beach where the waters are calm usually?

As I said in an earlier post, "we're on vacation; there are NO rules ! Feel free to pass them out any day. If you could let me know which day so people can know to expect something.

Orient Beach is perfect...wide, white sandy beach, very calm ( it's the other beaches that I've heard can be rough ). Orient Beach is called the French Riviera of the Caribbean. Lots of good food & bar. Water tramboline, jet skis, chairs & umbrellas.
I've gotten tired of all the jewelry shops and souvenir stands in Philipsburg. So my DH & I spend the whole day at Orient Beach. We usually go to Bikini Beach. If you have children, and want to stay away from the nude beaches, just ask your taxi driver to take you to the part of Orient Beach that's furtherest ( is that a word ) from there. Although, my Grandchildren didn't even notice.
Taxi ride should be $15 / ea way. The driver will either arrange to pick you up at a certain time or just grab one when you're ready.
Orient Beach and Seven Mile Beach in Grand Caymen are the most beautiful beaches, IMHO !!

I am getting my FE packages together today. So exciting!

Me, too ! I have decided that I can't possibly put all my FE's in my carryon bag ! I am so nervous that my bag will get lost ! Thankfully, we have a couple of days before the cruise. And we are flying non-stop.

I am so glad I have this cruise to keep me busy. It has been really tough losing my Mom. But she wouldn't put up with this "pity-party". She'd say go ,have fun and have a drink for me ! She was a very special lady. Raised 5 kids all by herself, and put us all through college !

Thanks for letting me vent ! Now on with the show !!!!

I know what you mean Scrappy. Losing someone is so hard so it is nice to get a change of scenery to refresh yourself.

My problem is...everything fit so much nicer when it was all jumbled together in a few bags. Now that I am seperating everything it looks like SOOOOO much extra stuff to take. Oh well!

Hey guys,

We have indeed been busy with packing and getting every thing in order, here on the west coast. Fortunately, Our luggage currently sits by the door! We get up at 0300; to fly out at six. Arrive Orlando around 4pm. It is officially time to party!!

I hope everyone's trip is fabulous and we look to meet all of you aboard ship the first day!!!
