February 26, 2011 - 7 Night Caribbean Sailing

I'm very excited about the idea of the wave phones. I know that we will split up from time to time from my parents or from each other and it would be nice to find each other again. I'm afraid I have become way too dependant on my phone and although I am looking forward to being cut off from the outside world for a week, I'd like to find my family easily. LOL.

Anyone else having difficulities accessing their cruise plans online? My mom has been trying to fill in their paperwork all week and the system keeps crashing. I have been trying to change an excursion and can't get past the front screen.

"Sorry for any inconvenience, but we're having a problem with our reservation system that will prevent you from booking your vacation package or retrieving your reservation right now. Please call your travel agent or (800) 951-3532 weekdays 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. ET or weekends 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. ET and our agents will gladly assist you. (F1512005) "

Any clue how long this will be happening?

We are excited to be on this cruise. This will be our 2nd Disney Cruise. We have three children (2 girls - 11 and 6 and 1 boy - 5). We cant wait.

Hey Cassie -

On the FE list, I noticed that my oldest son isn't listed (Alex, age 9). The table one. We've all been so sick this wk! The stomach flu and now, 2 of us (me, included) have yucky head colds. Hoping to get well sooner than later that;s for sure! We are starting to get our things together as well....off to Wally World in a few in fact to pick up a few things....hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

:welcome: to JHP3 glad you are joining us. Six weeks, :woohoo:woo hoo!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Sorry Grits family that you have not been feeling well, hope you are all on the mend soon pixiedust: I have a question for you what is Wallys World? and where are they located?

I have finished FE gifts so I can check that off my list and have started putting away things that I know I won't need before we go. I also have a question regarding luggage. Do you bring duffle style bags or suitcases? I have read on the boards how much people love taking duffles, but what do they do with their formal wear, I'm not sure I want to shove that stuff in with all the other clothes. Any advice on what you all are doing

Have a great weekend and as 49 out of the 50 states have snow (of course Florida being the only one without) I can say enjoy playing in the snow this weekend:rotfl2::rotfl2: Don't you think that's crazy that there is that much snow around the country and I'm sure that is the same in Canada too, how much have you all received so far this winter time?

That's it folk, our 75 day mark!

I've booked Palo brunch at 11 on day 6 at sea.

I've booked excursions with my pre-teen :
Sea Trek Saint-Martin
Doubloon snorkel in St-Thomas

No spa as the options didn't interest me all that much... I hope to be all about the books and the sun, that's what gets me really relaxed... unless something catches my attention on open day.

Anyone else booked something?

Hello Zaz,

My husband and my son (12) will be also going on the Doubloon snorkel excursion in St. Thomas. Look for a tall military type and that will be Tom. My daughter and I will be getting a taxi I believe and going to the Coral Sea Park in the meantime.

Can't wait. Starting to work on that check list. I will see what I have from our last cruise and try and post a checklist for everyone.

Hello again,

Alexis I just wanted to add our room number to the front page list. It is cabin #6036. I can't believe how many are signed up for the FE's. That is great. I am starting to work on our door magnets. I just love looking at all of them. Such creativity which I do not have much of. :rotfl2:
I will also keep you posted on checklist items. I had a real good one from our last Disney Cruise. I will check my stuff.

As to Henry's post I think Wally World is referencing for another word WalMart if I am not mistaken. I thought only our strange family called it that.

The Count Down is being done on our calendar now. :woohoo:

Hello everyone, Well with Chrismas behind us it sounds like everyone is in full plan mode. We just booked the night before in the CIS at the port. Question, with regards to the shuttle in the am , does anyone know what time it leaves the hotel? As far as the FE goes we have only done one before and I had enough to do each stateroom daily with something for everyone. It was way too much stuff. I like the idea of one drop for the week but I plan to include something for each person in the room in that one delivery. I was just wondering what everyone did so I did not bring enough or too much again this time. No rules necc. just wondering what was enough I guess? The previous poster said they will deliver the things over the course of the week. Sounds good to me. Can't wait to be in the warm sun. I have two princess dresses for my DD for formal and semiformal nite. I did buy a long gown for this cruise b/c My hubby and I are are celebrating 21 years of marriage and I wanted a nice picture of the two of us. Plus it is fun to dress up;) I also bought a couple of Aladdin (not the prince) drinking cups with lids and straws, they hold 16 oz each to use for the drink station. I drink alot of water and I know the cups there are small. Guess I could do some packing. We also have pirate costumes for pirate night. On our first cruise the party was inside d/t rain. I hope this time it is on deck. Well Happy Friday everyone. See you in 7 weeks:cool1::cool1:

Hi Karen,

We are also staying at CIS the night before the cruise. Please look us up so we can meet at the hotel. Our last name is Fredrickson. We were told to schedule the shuttle when we checked in. They would not do it before hand over the phone when I made the reservation. We have three other families that we are meeting and cruising with. Our motto is the more the merrier. I wasn't thinking of getting the shuttle until 9:30am as I don't think the terminal is open until 10am. I could be totally wrong on this. But last cruise we left around that time and I think we were group 6 to board the ship. The anticipation is crazy at our house.:scared1:

Hey Dana and Grits! I will update the front page sorry about that!!

I still have been meaning to go out and get FEs and make our fish extender. I'm just glad this week is FINALLY over!! :cool1:

We do regular suitcases. We unpack and put everything in the drawers and our empty suitcases go in the closet. Then as we wear our clothes they get shoved into the empty suitcase.

Has anyone else been busy shopping for the cruise?

I haven't seen too much spring/summer clothes out yet but did find fancy dresses for myself and my girls! I found the girls some adorable dresses on clearance at Gap. One was under $10! The other was maybe $15. Found one for myself on clearance at Banana Republic, had no intention of buying me a new dress, but I couldn't pass it up! I still want to find us all swimsuits and sandals, but haven't seen too many just yet.

My husband and I are also going to be on the Dubloon Snorkel Excursion. My parents are probably going to take the girls to Coral World too.

We too use Wally World for WalMart.

I've been doing a lot of shopping lately for the cruise. I think I am now done with shopping for clothes for me and my oldest at least. I still need to go through the box of 9-12 month clothes to see what I have for the baby.

Good afternoon fellow sailors!

Danatravel : Neat that your husband will be on the Doubloon! It will be reassuring to have some fellow DISers along. I’m also pretty happy to see that I’m not the only one that will get split up!

PeachyGreen : It will be fun to meet at the Doubloon. I’m glad to see that it seems to be a pretty popular excursion.

I have received our pirate outfits! Mine was a bit disappointing as it had been used/tried on before, and I didn’t want to return it. Oh well! I’m starting to pile things up on my mini trampoline.

I’ve decided to book the Couples Choice in order to have a relaxing time along with my hubby, and have dreamt of sitting a tub watching over the ocean, so, as I badly planned and ordered too much US funds, I decided to go ahead and spend it! I just hope it won’t conflict with Tea with Alice.

Another thing I’m thinking of doing is a gift basket by Shirley that would have something special for the girls. Any ideas on what I should include aside from candies and juice boxes?

Hi Dana , Thanks for the info. I would love to have boarding pass #2. So I hope to be on the earliest shuttle. Our first cruise we did not get to the terminal til 12 and it was crazy. All I wanted to do was get on the boat and there was this line to go through and that line to go through. I was worse than a kid. I would also like to take the ship tour they run before sailing. Hopefully we can hook up at CIS. I am not sure when we will arrive. Getting so excited. Counting down the shifts left to work before our big adventure.
Hope you have a great week!!

Hi Karen,

Can you give me more info on the ship tour. That sounds really neat. Do you know if you have to register ahead of time for that. I would be interested in doing something like that. My son keeps telling me everyday how excited he is. It will be here pretty quick. :thumbsup2
