Hello All,

Well I have been busy on our magnets for our door. Boy you can sure spend alot of time on these. So many neat designs by some very talented people here on the DIS board.

I wanted to pass along the packing list that I had used for our last cruise. Just pick and choose what is important to you. It is in excel and is on the DIS board. Here is the link https://files.me.com/momme30/9kiwf9

It is an excel file. Look at the bottom tabs for extra info. If you cant open it, I can try and attach it here somehow.

Our kids received a call from Mickey last night looking forward to seeing them on the ship. Our daughter (7) was so excited. So for our entertainment last night we watched the Disney Cruise Line CD we had sent to our house. It was fun.

Looking forward to meeting everyone.:yay::yay:

We are booked at the Radisson at the Port, but with the shuttle date changed to no earlier than the 24th now I'm willing to bet rooms at the port are not available again.

Our snorkel equipment came this week and my husband's prescription mask is perfect. We are going to try to take it to an indoor pool we have access to and try them out next weekend to make sure we can get the mask seals right.

I think I might need to do a trial packing run in hte next couple of weeks so that I can start to pair down what I'm packing. I hav ea feeeling it is way too much and I really don't want ot bring too many bags and have nowhere to keep it all.

Does anyone know where you can buy seabands for kids? I can't seem to find them anywhere and I really wanted to try them out for my oldest. She gets carsick all the time and I'd love to try it out for a long drive.

Less than 5 weeks to go! I'm so excited. I can't wait to be relaxing on the Magic 5 weeks from now.

We are staying at the Bay Lake Tower the night before. We are leaving Maryland on Thursday afternoon after the kids get out of school and will arrive at BLT on Friday morning. We tried all the hotels near the port, but when we were booking the shuttle was being launched on the 26th so we could not find a room at that time. Since then the shuttle launch has been changed numerous times so now I have no idea if rooms are now available there or not. We decided to just stick with the BLT as I wanted to stay there to see what it was like.

Wally World is my new favorite word for Wal Mart - I love it...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

We are at the Radisson at the Port too...but won't be there until late Friday night. Our flight arrives in Orlando at 10pm...then rental car pickup and such. Probably won't be there until midnight!

We got very lucky and booked this when the Shuttle launch was moved. Otherwise I think our first hotel was in Melbourne, FL? That was as close as we could get.

Hope you find something! :)

Hello everyone...hope you are enjoying your day.

We will be staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge before and after the cruise. Can't wait. This will be our first time staying there.

Hi...Michael and I have stayed at the BLT several times. We've had the Magic Kingdom view and we've had the lake view...both are fantastic. The Kingdom view...you will be able to see the fireworks from your balcony and if you turn on the tv...there is a channel that will have the music that goes along with the fireworks...it's great.

Enjoy your day and take care....:flower3:

I tired checking both the Radisson and Country Inn & Suites for you yesterday online and both have no rooms available. The closest is Melborne for the Radisson chain. There is a link on the DIS Board under Disney cruise line forum, it is the second thread and about halfway down it lists all the hotels near the port. Hope that helps

Good morning everyone!

- 43 celcius here this morning. It's so cold the clouds even had an odd pink tint.

Can't wait to go on our cruise! I've finished all the magnets for our door. I'm pretty happy with most, others, I've let my DD do all by herself and she is pretty happy!

How are things at your ends? I've got my packing list ready, and my idea as to what will go in which suitcase and which carry-on.

Have a nice week!

We are at the CIS. This will be a first for us.
Started packing, all DD cloths are packed. Trying these new packing cubes I bought. Have got all DS things out to pack, just have to match up tops and bottoms and get them in the cube. Trying to lose a few pounds myself so will wait til it gets a bit closer to see what fits LOL:rotfl2: Very , very cold here to this am -15 C about 6 degrees F. BRRRR Can't wait too feel the warm sun on my face and the sand in my toes.:cool2: Hope everyone has a great week.

We are staying at the Hyatt MCO. I hope to get everyone up and moving to catch the first bus to port!

If you find out I would love to know too! Last cruise our then 5 year old got sea sick the last day at sea. We went and picked up some dramamine for her which helped but I don't really like using that. A couple months ago we went on a road trip and my 3 year old got car sick after every meal. I would love to get the bands for both girls just in case!

Our last cruise, 2 years ago, I bought some fabric to make the girls both a dress for pirate night, fabric is pink with black and white skulls. I never got around to it. Here we are 2 years later and I finished the dresses this morning!!!! I'm so happy to have that done! It only took me two years. LOL

Hello All,

Hope everyone is having a great Tuesday. :flower3:

I was at Walgreens the other day and was looking for Tums and on the bottom shelf were the motion sickness wrist bands, behind the ear patches and the dramamine. Now I don't know if they were for all ages or adults. Someone that we cruised with in the past, I believe went to their doctor for a prescription for the behind the ear patch and they were fine the entire cruise.

Hope this helps. :yay:

Our new luggage arrived last week, so exciting. Starting to get things organized together. My husband would commit me if I started packing already. :rotfl2:

Oh I plan to bring my whole family when we meet on the ship around 3pm on the 26th. That way my daughter will meet others that she may see in the kids clubs.

I wonder if DCL does anything special for the Oscars? I just realized they are on the 27th of Feb.

One month from now I will be in Florida at least (probably on the road on the way to Port Canaveral). Its getting so close now!

Peachy Green : Any idea if any Disney films are in the Oscar Race?

Well, I've called for my baskets by Shirley and all my magnets are done. Our carry-on suitcase with the princess dresses and pirate costumes is packed. And my pillow cases are almost ready.

I received a call yesterday from my travel agent telling us that the flight times have changed. I was very worried at first, but it the end, it's only 4 hrs more of traveling. We are now flying from Orlando at 2 PM to Chicago and then on to Ottawa to arrive at 9:30. Our 1st flight was doing Orlando 1 to Washington to Ottawa at 7 PM. I'm glad it's the Saturday and we can rest on the Sunday!!

Any of you used to the check out at Orlando when coming from outside the US? I am hoping to have picked our luggages and be out of the airport in 1 hour after we land. Do you think it's possible?

Toy Story 3 has several nominations including Best Picture and Best Animated Picture (along with about 5 others I think). Alice in Wonderland had at least 2 nominations as well. I'm sure there are others that are "Disney" owned films on the list but those were the 2 that stood out. I saw something for Tron too. Isn't that a Disney film?

No help here on international travel.

I motivated to start some sewing again last night. I really need to get on the ball to finish the projects I've started at a minimum.

1 calendar month from to day and we set sail!
