Pirate night ......Yes people dress up...adults and children i have seen everything from full on gear to just an eye patch. I will be wearing a black skirt a white top a pirate scarf and skull and cross bone leggings.

FOrmal night....I have seen it all everything from a jean skirt to a hoop skirt and i will be wearing the hoop skirt DH will be wearing a regular suit and tie

There is semi formal......as the name says

YEs kids can wear costumes all day and all night if they like.

Sometimes there is a 50s night in one of the bars after dinner.
or is that a 60s oh now i am not sure.

ok so if including the new fe participants,those not on the final list, I get 18 cabins not including ours.....does that sound right? Also, did we decide on a meet on the first day? We are open to whatever anyone decides. My girls can't wait to meet their online buddies!!! Happy packing and safe travels to all!

My girls have pirate costumes. Nothing for us - DH wasn't keen on dressing up so I didn't worry about it. I figured if he changes his mind, I have some jail bird costumes I could pack for us.

Each of my girls will also bring a 'princess' dress of some type I expect. They live in them here at home.

I have started to pack - yeah! I have no idea what to bring. DH figures we will try dinner the first night and then if the kids don't like sitting we will be at the buffet every night after. Makes packing hard! Do I bring nice clothes or not...they take up SO much space!!! I have no idea how people can pack so lightly. UGH! I need to try and make a packing list tonight and hopefully that will help.

Oh, anywhere I can find out general weather I should expect? Figure shorts for when in port and outside on the ships deck and then pants when inside for dinner as it would be air conditioned?

What time is the life boat drill?

We shoudl do it before the drill, after that every one will be getting ready for dinner shows etc.

I will be cracking open a bottle of Wine with the Walls and starting to get Whacko as i will have just become a Willis and that is just Weird.

Shall we go for the Lounge area or one of the bars farther back the ship?

What is the one that has the games in it??

From what I've read, I think alot of groups meet closer to 3 on the first day which might include more people and it would be well after lunch and get into your room time (1:30) and before the safety drill. Am I correct on this? I am just wondering if the majority would be on board by this time.....

I worked on our FE gifts this weekend, and I found a couple questions. I'm going to try and summarize everything I found I needed clarification on. (so i apologize in advance for a long post, but the CDO planner in me is starting with the "i'm too excited to sleep" nonsense).

I appreciate everyone answering ASAP as I know some of the overseas folks leave this upcoming weekend already, and may have the same questions!

Down between Dmouse & Ohio Kim there is a set of numbers in the "daughter" column, with the numbers 9,7, 6 & 6. It's kind of in the middle of them both?

I read dmouse as 1 dad, 1 mom, and 3 boys (3,2, and 9 months)?

I read OhioKim as 1 dad, 1 mom, and 2 boys (age 3 & 2) and one girl age 6?

Can you both confirm? I think that extra set of numbers is throwing everyone off.

I also need cabin numbers for the following:
-polyluvr
-feiste
-dmouse

Late additions - just to confirm, we are gifting if we have extras to them.

DPlyow - 2 cabins
adb300 - 1 cabin (need #'s and ages)

Also, I like dizzi's suggestion of the meet around 3. We have Palo ressies that night, so that time works well for us.

I finally started packing this weekend! I'm going to have to weigh DS's suitcase, as everything that's "extra" is going in his - FE gifts, pirate costume, sunblock, etc...

13 days until we sail! 11 days until we start for warmer climates!

Finally removed the inches of dust from the sewing machine and tackled the FE this week-end. One old curtain, an old pair of jeans some plastic pockets and some printed mickey-heads have now become our FE. I was quite pleased with the result seeing as I had no idea what I was doing when I started out.

Just the gifts to get finished now!

Re. The MEET!

About 3pm would be better for us as we are on the DCL bus from WDW so probably won't be on board until 2ish, then will probably need to get something to eat!

Only 4 more nights till we leave home to start our journey - packing must start in earnest tomorrow.

Awesome - thanks! I'm open to meeting wherever, but definitely somewhere kid-friendly. We'll be hitting the pool when we board, but I can drag the kiddos out if everyone wants to meet somewhere else.

SO EXCITED! After finishing the FE gifts MONTHS ago, I'm still waiting on printing labels to pack them up. Gave the husband that assignment, and door magnets. We'll see how that goes =D In return, he has requested shirts for the whole family (after I packed up the Silhouette & sewing machine!) so I guess I have homework too. Started packing but didn't get any further than 2 dinner outfits for the kids and bathing suits. We did make serious progress in planning though - decided what type of liquor to bring on board. You gotta start somewhere!

Scillycruiser - love the FE with the jeans & plaid! Too creative for me, I went on eBay!

I like 3 PM near the promenade as well for the meet. Emmysdidi - will you confirm tomorrow night like suggested?

Also, will someone post the google docs link? Sorry all, but I avoid Facebook like the plague, and am very hesitant about most social media. I'd be the one who gets facebook fired!

For all the cold climate folks that have snow today - it is currently 71 & sunny in Port Canaveral, 82 in St. Maarten, and 80 in St. Thomas!
