February 25, 2006 Western Magic Cruisers!!

:cool1: HI everyone! Just checking in!!! I am getting ready to go to the Journey Concert tonight :rockband: with my DD (MrMA, I know you know what I am talking about now!!! and since you are my age... you probably wish you were going too!, huh?!!) :earboy2:
Anyway, a Monday meet sounds good. It is too bad we couldn't all post pics of us on the thread so at least we have an idea of who we are looking for in case we can't get to the meet. I have seen so many pictures of Verandah man that I think if I saw him, I would actually go up to him and introduce myself!! I am not computer saavy enough to know how to post a thread, but I sent a pic of myself to a fellow disser on the "Cranberry or Pineapple" thread and she posted it for me. All of us on that thread have an idea of what we all look like. :smooth: Well.... as far as I go... you could get an IDEA of what I look like but I plan to be tinier in 4 months!!! :rotfl2:
OK I am off to have some fun!! Karen

:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc Made the final payment on the cruise yesterday :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc Can't wait to go

dreamakermom - I hope you had fun at the concert :cool1:

Watching out for Hurricane Rita :umbrella: I hope it down grades before hitting land Saying a pray for all those in Texas :flower3:

:scared1: Bracing for Hurricane Rita :scared1: The house is boarded up, sandbags at the doors, freeze full of ice, and supplies in the house. Please say a prayer for us and all those who will be affected.

Cajun Cruiser - Stay safe and good luck during the storm. I hope yall far well and have no damage :daisy:

Will be praying for all

Cajun Princess, how did you and your family do during Rita? We were blessed with no damage (not one shingle lost). A neighbor had some trees that split but other than that not much in my neighborhood. :cheer2:

Thanks to all of you who prayed for us. Hopefully the water we see on the cruise will be much nicer than the water we have been seeing in south Louisiana. I was thinking, maybe I need to put a ticker on how many weeks we have left of hurricane season (9 weeks and counting). :rotfl2:

Cajun Cruiser - Glad to here that you did fine through the storm :flower: We were also blessed :flower2: No damage to the house. We were out of power for about 20 hours. It went off Friday night about 7:15pm and came back on Sat. afternoon around 4:00pm. We were very lucky :sunny:

On a sad note :sad1: my great aunt passed away Sat. morning(the sat. of the storm) The funeral was today

Please keep all those affected by the Hurricane Rita in your prays. There are so many who have lost everything :sad2:

Received my packet today with all the booklets about the shore excrusions, gifts, etc. All this is making it seem more real!!!! :cool1: :cool1:

Anyone else get theirs??

We received our packet, too. I have been buying things - end of season - and putting them away to pack. I have small buckets and shovels for the GK's and suntan lotion. I am going to put some Halloween candy packets away for the plane ride. We haven't seen any good airline prices yet. We are planning on going down 3 days early and stay at POFQ.

Cajun Princess I am so sorry to hear about your Aunt. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I received my packet with info booklets also. We're counting the days. :hourglass

Hi all!!
Just bumping us back up! We just made our final payment and it feels great. I used the Disney Visa card to boost our shipboard account. If you all don't mind refreshing my memory could anyone with boys the same ages as mine reply with their names and ages. I am especially interested in finding other 9 year old boys. We are traveling with a large group (11 kids) but my 9 year old is looking for someone his age. My kids are Griffin (9), Ryan (8), Jason (5).
Thanks all and Happy Fall!!

Hi Kelli

I also made my final payment at the beginning of the month and we also used our Disney Visa. Can't wait for that shipboard credit.
We also recieved our passports. Thought they were lost in New Orleans, but we got them a week earlier than expected :goodvibes

I have a son who is 10. His name is Alex and he loves sports. He is a huge football fan. I think Cajun Cruiser also has a son around that age. Alex would love to have friend to hang out with on the cruise

Hmmm, we just made our final payment using our Disney Visa as well, looks like a trend. We got our information booklets this weekend. Getting excited!! :cool1:

My son, Austin is 11, and a nice but shy kid.

Anyoneknow the exact date when us Cataway Club members can make our on-line ressies?? I know it issometime in November but I have not counted yet.Maybe one of you has!!! LOL

I am not a Castaway Club member so I cannot help you here. I am at this exact moment, trying to figure out my totals and who owes me what... cannot wait to get this part done and a check in the mail. Then.... I can relax!! :cool1: I wanted to get all this done way before the holidays. I hope someone can answer your question. Happy Day!

Hi, I just looked at the letter that came with our booklet and it says that we can book ressies on November 27th as long as you've made your final payment. We are Castaway Club members.
Disney called our TA today and cleared our waitlisted cabin-it is port side as opposed to starboard. Ya hoo. They also reviewed our dining request and asked which late seating did we want 8:00, 8:15 or 8:30. I chose 8:00. Has anyone had any experience with the new dining times? How the heck does that work in the dining room? Anyone that is making Palo dinner reservations, which night are you choosing? I have to stay away from Palos (brunch, at least) the day after Cozumel due to an unfortunate incident last year involving me, Carlos and Charlie :drinking:
Must keep repeating to myself--Never drink anything that is florescent orange-ever again

Eddy

Ednifabs!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: You made me laugh out loud!!!! I am getting ready to pay off my trip within the next week or two. Cannot wait!!! Will let you know when I do!!! Karen

Hi Kelli,
My boys are Matt (8) and Zack (6). Looks like we have good match . . .

Rick

Anyone arriving to Orlando on Friday before the cruise? Last year, we stayed by the airport at one of the Amerisuites hotels (around $110). We're thinking about driving out to the port after we land and staying the night there.

Thoughts?

Rick
