I just noticed that people on the 2/11/06 cruise are posting that they're getting calls from Disney stating that Cozumel has been cancelled. They'll be going to Costa Maya instead. The DCL cruise site for our cruise still says Cozumel though.

Oh I hope we can go to Cozumel . . . If they have to change, then I hope we get Costa Maya and not Nassau. Nothing against Nassau, but we've been there three times already . . .

Let's hope for Coz . . . .

I just got off the phone with a Disney DM and we are still slated for Cozumel. He said they are trying to give Cozumel the opportunity to get things together and are making decisions on a cruise by cruise basis.

If we are rerouted, we should find out on or about February 10th.

Movies slated for our cruise are:

Chicken Little
Finding Nemo
Herbie Fully Loaded
Incredibles
Narnia - Lion the Witch of the Wardrobe
Sky High
Valiant
Flight Plan
Shop Girl
Casanova
Glory Road
Annapolis

I saw Glory Road and I love it! I'm partial though . . . the part of Brent Haskins, the youngest son of the coach, is played by a little boy that I've photographed several times. We all went to the sneak preview locally and it was a blast! Every time Patrick was shown, the audience cheered! If you've seen the movie already, he's the little boy that get bopped in the face with the basketball in the beginning of the movie.

I just talked to Disney also and they basically told me the same thing!! Sure is frustrating isn't it? :crazy2: We didn't book any excursiosns there because of that reason. I just had this feeling that we might not be going there...or what we wanted to do would not be up and running!! Oh well....I know that wherever we're going it still wont be here!! :cold: Have a great day everyone and lets hope we hear something soon!! :listen:

Thanks for the info on the cookies I'll start looking at Wal-Mart.
Now to Key West, my DD is 6 1/2 would the Scavenger Hunt be appropriate for her? Last time she didn't even want to leave the KidsClub until that evening but says this year will be different.
I'm not sure if we'll have time since I want to hit Kinos, The Pepper store and The Wharf (for some live music). And of course the chocolate covered Key Lime Pie on a stick YUMMMMM! Lots of stuff we'd like to do but we actually slow right down when we get there and just enjoy ourselves. :teeth:

I'll be hoping for Cozumel too as I'd love to chill out on Paradise Beach but if not, I'm with Rick-bring on Costa Maya.

Karen, What are you bringing on the cruise to fill your Magic Bullet with? What are your favorite recipes?

24 more days until we leave for FLA!!!

Eddy

Karen & Everyone,

What songs are you downloading for the cruise?

Just a few I have are: (Warning I'm showing my Age)

Lust for Life
Lots of Bob Marley Songs
What I like about you (dont know if thats the title)

Disclaimer: My tastes are not the same as my DH :p

Hi Everyone!! :wave2:

Only 25 more days and we'll be sailin' away!! :cheer2: Can't wait!!

DH and I were wondering about the tables at dinner. We are a family of 4 and he seems to think that we will be sat alone. How big are the tables and about how many people does DCL generally sit at each? :confused3 I am really hoping for some tablemates because I think that will just add to the experience! :thumbsup2

Thanks!!

Hi Moira,
We too are a family of four. Last year, we ended up at a table by ourselves. The year before, there was 5 in our party and we were seated with a famiily of 3 at a table for 8. This year, we are 6 so all bets are off . . .

I believe they have tables that seat 4, 6, 8, and 10. I agree that meeting new people and partaking in the dinner conversation is a great part about cruising.

I am a DD 10 year old girl. Are there any other 10 year old girls on this cruise? Please reply. I would like to email before the trip. My brother and sister are already finding new friends. :hourglass

We also got our documents today. Next time yall please remind me not to fly in the day of. Our flight begins at 6:15 A.M. yuk!! We will be exhausted before we get on the ship. Well like they say you always have to do it more than once because you learn from the first one.

Becky - our flight is early like yours. Don't worry - you'll find energy. We just couldn't spend the extra money for extra days in WDW.

NHdisneybuddy - Joshua is 11 and in the 6th grade. Email him at nshabarekh@snet.net. He will respond to you. He's been emailing C.J. and Elizabeth as well. Have your mom look up their emails on the spreadsheet I sent to her if you want to email Elizabeth. I think you all will hook up early.

I need sunshine!

Thanks for the info, Rick! :thumbsup2

I am certainly hoping for some tablemates, but I know that I will still enjoy the experience even if we sit alone! After all, I have already met all of you here! :goodvibes I am off to a pretty good start!!

Thanks again!!

Moira

Congrats Becky!

Still not dancing here in Detroit, so here is a remote dance  :dancer: party:

I'm glad the flights weren't messed up for you. As for us . . . our flight leaves Baton Rouge at 5:30 AM! We've booked a room in Zachary the night before since 5:30 flight means at least air port arrival by 4 AM. The drive time to BR or NO is the same -- about an hour.

We're still waiting on our tickets. Maybe today. Same state, different area.

My sister and her family are on their way down to Orlando this morning for a week at WDW. I asked her to remind the Main Mouse that we'll see him on the Magic in 3 1/2 weeks.

Still no snow here in Detroit. The Superbowl organizers are having a heck of a time making snow for the Motown Winter Blast. Silly, silly weather . . . .

Hi, I'm Lisa & I posted her once in the beginning of the thread. We're on this cruise with ds(12) and ds(6) and our friends with a ds(12) and dd(8).

I was wonder for those of you who already received your docs. did it say exactly what time you had dinner? On our reservation it says 6:00pm, but I don't know if that really means 6:00pm. Do we have to wait until we board to find out our exact staggered dinner time?

One more thing, have any of you started to look at Costa Maya excursions just in case we're headed there. I was looking forward to our Coz. excursion (fury catamaran sail, snorkel and beach party). I hope if our cruise is changed it's Costa Maya instead of Nassau just because we've been there twice before.

Looks like we'll all be running to our mailboxes!

Hi Lisa,

We haven't received our docs yet, but from what I've read we won't know our dining times (other than early or late) until we board.

I started looking into Costa Maya last night just in case. Since we're planning on Paradise Beach for Coz, I'm leaning to one of the beaches at Costa Maya. I've heard good things about the beaches by the village of Majaha (sp?).

Darn it ... I need to stay home from work at least for the morning :woohoo: (which means I can spend more time on the DIS! ... my husband would say I spend way too much time on here already! :confused3 ) as the plumber is coming ... we sprung a leak ... thank goodness not a bad one, but it's something we can't fix, and our water is turned off now. Thank goodness it's not the electricity! :scared1:

No documents for us yet :sad2:

MoiraRD ... I would think your chances would be pretty good that you would have tablemates. We are a party of 6 so who knows. On our honeymoon cruise, we sat with two ladies about our age. It was okay, but I would have preferred more people!

I hope we go to Cozumel too, but it doesn't sound promising. If I had my choice between Costa Maya and Nassau, I, too, would pick Costa Maya since we were in Nassau once and that's enough ... not too impressive.

Have a great day everyone!
