I have a sad story to tell.
I've been working out like crazy since last Fall.
Why?
Because I read an awesome Trip Report.
Does that surprise you?
No, because there are lots of awesom Trip Report.
Anyhow, I saw a heading that said,
Find out how I swam in Bay Lake.
Me, I thought for sure, she probably fell in,
getting off of the Ferry or something.
Nope, she ran a Tri-athalon at WDW
Labor Day Weekend.
1/4 mile swim in Bay Lake,
7 Mile Bike Ride around Camp Wilderness
and a 3 mile run from Camp Wilderness to Wilderness Lodge
and back.
OMG, I so want to participate.
It is called "Goofy's Tri-athalon".
It is not about winning,
it is about accomplishment.
Before I turn 50-in a few years,
I want to accomplish that Tri-athalon.
But, just tell Disney for me, okay.
They haven't scheduled another one.
I read on some TR's,
that water moccasins were found in the Bay Lake.
Snakes-yuck,
and an alligator.
Plus I heard the water is very polluted.
So, who knows,
it could be
Just Rumors, but since it hasn't been rescheduled.
Anyways, I found out there is going to be a similar
race in Milwaukee.
Part of the swimming will be in Lake Michigan.
I can't imagine swimming in the Lake either,
it doesn't warm up past 64 degrees.
So, that is half of my sad story,
the other half of my sad story---
While I was working out yesterday,
45 minutes on the elicptic machine
35 minutes on the tread mill-I walk 3 minutes, run 2 minutes-hey I'm getting up there,
and then I went to my Body Pump Class for an hour.
When I was finished, I walked back downstairs to the locker room,
and noticed all the locker doors were open.
I looked in my locker and--
someone stole my
WDW Sweatshirt.
I am so mad.
Our YMCA is being redone.
They are tearing down part of the building and
building a new one,
while they try to remain open.
Locks are not allowed on lockers,
and you can't take anything with you while you work out.
So you are suppose to be careful, with what you bring in.
I usually carry my keys in my pockets,
because people have been known, to take keys out of lockers
and then break into cars.
So, on Friday, the temp. was probably 6 degrees.
I had on heavy sweatpants and my beloved
WDW 1971 Vintage Sweatshirt on over my workout clothes.
Plus my headband and mittens.
I put everything in a locker, and grabbed my keys and decided
to put them in my mittens, because of my long work-out.
I should have listened to myself, because I already had a funny
feeling. But I really didn't have anywhere else to go with my exra clothes.
WTH,
I quickly looked in my locker and at first I thought everything was gone,
then I noticed just my beloved sweatshirt.
Then I looked up, to see if my mittens were there,
because my keys were in my mittens.
Thank goodness.
I ran upstairs, and told them my sweatshirt was taken,
and all the doors in the locker room were open.
The head person, gave me a very large t-shirt to wear
because it was freezing, out.
But I declined, because I was more worried that they may
have broken into my car...
no one did, and then I realized they wouldn't have
put my keys back in my locker.
I just wasn't thinking rationally yet.
I called my dd at school.
She worked out with me at the YMCA during her
Christmas Break, and I knew she would understand.
She was my work-out buddy for the last 6 weeks.
She was a great motivator, and all of us "Mom's miss her during class."
She understood.
Gotta love my dd.
She told me, that I can get a new one next month.
It just won't be the same...
