Hi all, just checking back in....it seems that everyone is getting snow, for whatever reason right now we have a slight Jan heat wave this week. Today it was in the 60's and absolutely gorgeous. It usually doesn't get much hotter than 70's here even in the summer...people were pulling out the tank tops and shorts today....of course mine are already packed..didn't think I would be needing them. I was sitting on the porch this afternoon, letting the sun hit my face, eyes closed, thinking, not long now and this will be Carribean sunshine.

Where is everybody staying before the cruise? We are coming in on Thurs. and spending Friday at Kennedy Space center (I emailed my congressman and I recieved complimentary tickets ). We are going to be at the residence inn....if anybody is there, maybe we will see ya around the pool. DS can't wait to go swimming.

We are flying in on Friday the 20th and staying at Dolphin hotel and that night we will go see Cirque Du Soleil-La Nouba

No heat wave here!!! Snow, and lots of it with the temp currently at -8 C heading down to -22C tonight. That makes a the cruise sound so good about now.
We are flying in late on the Friday night and staying at the Hyatt, easy and super nice.
Does anyone know what is happening with fuel surcharges, I know we paid for them when we booked but thought I read somewhere that the charges were now dropped and if you had paid, they would be returned in the form of an onboard credit? Can anyone confirm this?

Drskw...we feel your pain! We've had those temps for almost 2 weeks now. Today we had a heat wave at -3 to -7. Are you guys airliners?

BTW... we didn't pay a fuel surcharge so I am guessing you will get it back in the form of an onboard credit. Just call your agent to make sure.

My friends are planning to go to Rockin' Bar, hopefully they will have a nice cruise trip. Sorry for me, I can't go with them.

What dining service is everyone on? early or late?

We like the late dining service

Last year we shared a table with 2 really nice guys from Quebec! Although, one couldn't speak english very well. They were super nice.

what can't you all wait to do on the ship my list includes

1. Meeting new friends
2. Hopefully seeing cruise staff that I have became friends with in the past
3. dance party in Rockin' Bar D with new friends
4. walking around the ship with new friends late at night
5. when everyone seems to go to bed and it seems like no one is on the ship after 2:00am
6. eating food
7. pub night

ah don't worry...We were worried last year since we have no kids and didn't know who we would be sitting with. It worked out fine! You can always ask to change tables.

We're late seating...we hate to be rushed for first. One thing I hate though, there is this trend in the industry now of making the late seating shows BEFORE dinner. That is really a pain. The reason most people take late seating is to be able to lounge around and enjoy the late afternoon and to have a later evening. I'm not really interested in seeing a show at 7. Alas it is what it is...

lol I think that sounds like a good idea. Plus the tables for 6 are always in a better location. Last year we ended up Waaaaaaaaaay in back. It was a horrible table location.

before my last cruise I have always been at a table for 6, last cruise I was at a table for 4 and it was the best location, we've had oth horrible table locationa before
