February 21, 2009 Magic Western Caribean

No time. :/ Will have time starting probably the Tuesday before the trip. In between now and then, too much schoolwork.

Then it will be tons of work packing and prepping the house for our friends who are going to dog-sit. :/

But then... VACATION!!!

totally understand the no time, part. That's why I am starting this coming week, getting out shirts one night, pants the next, etc. Because with work, shopping, and Net games coming up I won't be home during the days and some nights.

Ack...We leave in 8 more Days! :) I started packing last with along with wedding things I think I'll never be ready! Can't wait for vacation!

According to accuweather.com:

Feb 21 Cape Canaveral : High of 63, mostly sunny (52 and clear for the pm)
Feb 22 Key West: High of 72, sunny (63 and clear for the pm)

Fingers crossed these will be semi-accurate (although is that even possible with a 15 day forecast??).

:thumbsup2

In Florida, even the 3 day forecast is not accurate. :-)

We started packing Emily's things this morning so I have almost 2 weeks to remember anything I may have forgotten.

My expectations re: weather are VERY low -as long as it's warmer than here and there is no snow, I'll be happy! :thumbsup2

We haven't started officially packing yet - but we have quite a pile of stuff in our closet that keeps getting bigger and bigger...I call it the "stick it in one spot and then I'll remember to take it" pile. :rotfl2: I'm starting to wonder if I would have been better off renting a U-Haul to drive it all down!!!::yes::

Happy packing!

We have been watching the DCL planning DVD all day (the one that comes when you ask for a brochure) - how sad is that???:lmao:

I didn't get on this thread until now b/c I was on a 2008 November cruise thread (but that cruise didn't work out for a few reasons) so I'll have to read back and see if y'all are meeting, or you know, getting identical tattoos or anything. ;)

My girls are 7 and 2. We're traveling with family and friends but I sure hope I spy some Dis. people in the dining room. :thumbsup2

ok, I have watched the Disney Cruise DVD 10 times, read every post on Dis Boards, and the snow is falling, I am SOOOOO ready for this cruise!!!!

Anybody play crib? My father in-law are planning on having an open invitational Carribean Crib Championship.....also known as the 1st Annual CCC

welcome, we are having a meet the first day at 3:00pm at the promenade lounge, gives enough time for everyone to eat lunch, look around the ship, meet and get back to cabin before the lifeboat drill:goodvibes

I feel ethically obligated to warn you that they like to trash talk when they play! My 80+ year old grandmother taught him how to do that when she first taught him how to play way back when!! :lmao: I'm not even kidding - she was ruthless! :rotfl2:

We'll be sure to bring the tournament trophy! ;)

Woo hoo! Just found out some exciting news! (ok, exciting for some of us? ;) )....
Confessions of a Shopaholic, which opens this week, will be playing onboard during the cruise!!!! I'm actually going to get to see a REAL movie, and I won't have to wait 5 years to see it!!! :lmao: :cool1: I didn't even know it was a Disney movie! Who knew??:confused3 :goodvibes

And on perhaps a more exciting note for some of you.....

The Jonas Brothers concert (3D) that opens on the 27th will be opening onboard as well that night!!!

As I told my daughter tonight....12 more sleeps!!!

:cheer2:

Cool! Do you have the full list? We're behind the times-we missed Bolt, Beverly Hills Chihuahua, and Swing Vote-are they still on the schedule? Thanks!

Check post # 364 :)

On a weather related note...
-33C/-27.4F here tonight with the wind chill - I suspect my "minimum temp I'd like to see on the cruise" value is MUCH lower than some of yours!!! lol! I'll take 50F with a smile at this point! ;-)

My daughter is going to be be so excited re Bolt 3D - she's been bugging me to take her. So it would be an excellent idea to fly for three hours and drive for one and spend a zillion dollars to go see it. ;)
