February 20th 2014 Disney Dream

I do love pictures. I am going to book the flight the second it becomes available. If rates drop, southwest will give me flight credits to use at a later time. This cruise will be my 1st Disney experience. I have never even been to the house of the mouse

Did I read that correctly? You have never been to WDW or DL? I am thinking that you will be hooked on Disney after the cruise.. The Disney corporation goes out of their way to make you LOVE Disney once they get their claws into you. I hope you can make a trip to WDW or DL someday.. Those places have been magical for our family.. Fun, Fun,Fun.

That sound better then 215 days. I am glad that I didn't have this cruise booked too far out. The last cruise I went on I had book almost two years out

And I thought my 11 month wait was long.. I can't imagine 2 years.. I am trying to get through this Disneyland trip first and then I have to pay the rest of my cruise off by October 23rd so I can book a Cabana on Castaway Cay.. UGH..
Are you planning on doing any excursions at Castaway Cay or Nassau?

We are going to do the cabana in castaway cay. Nassau is a wild card. We might try to do to Atlantis or maybe a dolphin encounter. I would like to try to stop at the hard rock there also

I have heard that the Blue Lagoon dolphin encounter is fantastic.. We will stay on the ship this time in Nassau and try to do some things on the boat we missed last time. I hope that we both are able to get Cabanas on Castaway Cay.. I am going to suffer if I have to stay awake till midnight to book a Cabana but I am hoping to get one.. I have read that shore side concierge has been able to book them in advance for concierge so I am hoping that is still the case. Otherwise, I will be doing this :coffee: all day on October 23rd to stay awake til midnight. :rotfl2:

Do they go that quickly? Everyone in our group is new to Disney cruises. But my MIL booked one of their highest suites. So I am hoping she gets some pull when it comes to concierge services

YES, They book that quickly..(Usually within 5 minutes after midnight is what I have seen.) If your MIL booked Concierge then she can book at 120 days.. Only Concierge and Platinum members are able to book at 120 days. We have a 1 bedroom suite.. (The only rooms higher are the 2 Royal suites ) so it sounds like she will be a neighbor of ours in Concierge. :cool1:

joining in.

I just booked this tonight for us. We are flying down on February 17th and spending a couple days at WDW at the Boardwalk.

This will be our third cruise. It is me, DH DD who will be 12, DS who will be 6 and our baby who will be 8 months.

Welcome... So glad to have you on this cruise with us..:goodvibes Still making plans for before and after the cruise.. We will spend 4 days at WDW and 1 day at Universal Studios plus the day we get off the cruise with our long time friend that lives in Cocoa Beach.. Waiting on plane tickets to finalize days. The good news is that prices for plane tickets are falling where I live.. YAY.. We have a very small airport near us so we are limited with flights.. Boo..

Congrats on the plane tickets..(It makes it seem more real and final when I get mine.) Hopefully this month when more flight times open up for us we will get ours.. Do you have other plans for Florida before or after the cruise?

Thank you. We are at the stage in life where we are stuck going on school vacations so I was happy to get another cruise booked and being DVC it just seemed natural to add 2 full days in the parks :)

and I obviously can't add because the baby will be 8months old in february.

I just printed off the application for her passport.

I hear you about the school schedule.. We have gone to WDW the past 5 years during Spring Break because the weather is fantastic. (Plus, I am not brave enough to go during the summer in the humidity.) Thankfully, I found out in February that we will have our first week long winter break in 6 years at school. It will be nice to get out of the NY snow and into the sun in Florida..(I see that you live in NY so you can relate.) I still worry about flights getting cancelled so that is why we are doing 4 days before and 2 days after...

I wanted to go up a couple of days before and go to universal. I have a friend who works for them. But we are cruising for my mother in laws 60th birthday. She want everyone to be traveling together. So no precruise activities :(

We go every year in August and the humidity really isn't much worse that it is here. We live less than a mile from the LI sound.

That is a bummer. We were going to fly down the night before but DH decided we should go a few days earlier.

Yes. I am looking forward to having the family. My previous cruises were only just two of us

I am excited about this cruise especially the part where DH says we are rebooking while on the boat.
