Merry Christmas everyone 🎄

Looking at driving up from Vegas for a three day park visit to Disneyland Saturday, Feb 24-Monday, Feb 26 with our 5 & 6 year old kiddos.

Wondering if it is worth it as I see there is no Fantasmic, WOC, and possibly no Haunted Mansion. Disneyland site also says Wondrous Journeys with Fireworks are not returning until March 22nd. Does this mean no fireworks either? 🙁

Wondering if it’s worth it with so many closures. On the upside hotel & ticket prices are cheap and Disneyland will have the parade. Thanks for any insight/feedback.

As others might state, you can only decide if it’s worth it for you and your family. You mentioned 4 closures that are prominent attractions, but there are so many others that will probably be open. If your family regularly goes to WDW, there are a lot of rides at DL that aren’t in Orlando.

There will be fireworks, but it will be Mickey's Mix Magic instead of Wondrous Journeys. And it will only be Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays (weather permitting).

The great news about DLR is there is ALWAYS plenty to do even when other things may be closed. And it may even be a good opportunity to take a more relaxed approach or not worrying about having to stay late every night for nighttime entertainment, etc. But, like teawar said, only you can decide if it's worth it or not. It's always worth it to me, because even when one thing I love is closed, I see it as a chance to try something I've never tried or do something that i haven't done in many years.

Thank you I am relieved to know there will be fireworks! I agree it could be a nice chance to do a relaxed 3 days

I think a trip would be worth it even with those closure, unless it's a once in a lifetime trip. I'd take advantage of the lower prices you're finding, and there's SO much else to do at Disneyland anyway.

Not having nighttime entertainment wouldn't bother me very much with younger kids. Mine couldn't always stay up late enough for things like that when they were little. The days are just so long and busy, and even with afternoon breaks they'd sometimes crash early.

Already good advice in a short amount of time. There are always pros and cons no matter what time you decide to visit. Listen to the thoughts of other DIS'ers but in the end you have to decide what is important to you.

We are planning to go in late Jan 24' and the HM will be closed during that time. It sucks but it is not a trip breaker for us. So many other things to see, enjoy and especially being there with family.

Down the road you probably won't remember what was closed but the memories of just being there with your kiddos will be awesome. Trust me, said from experience. Cheers

No WOC or fantasmic means you won't feel bad about heading back to the hotel at a reasonable hour without feeling like missing out.

Haunted Mansion is rad, but your kids will love toon town so much more.

I think you're focusing too much on the smaller elements that aren't present and ignoring the plethora of things that are.

Also, whatever they miss they'll just have it to look forward too when they're older.

One other thing to add that I like in Feb is the Lunar Food booths. I myself have a trip planned for Feb but I am considering waiting for March but thats because of the food and wine festival but might think of doing both but I also want to check out the Pixar Festival this year

LOL, I know you mean Lunar New Year food booths, but when I saw your comment I thought, "Hmmm, I would enjoy seeing Disney work up some interesting lunar food items." 😁 Maybe they've already done so at that space-themed restaurant at WDW.
