February 2013 trip, first time at HRH

I think the haziness in this shot is because of the humidity on my camera lens, but I like it. This table reminds me of where Ginny and Dean are cuddling in a corner in one of the movies. Next time we go, we're sitting there. :)

I personally feel that Butterbeer makes an excellent photograph subject. Do forgive me for this.

He does, too.

This is a window (that they didn't have to include) on a wall looking out over the outside seating area of the Three Broomsticks/Hog's Head Pub. And inside the window they didn't have include is a whole bunch of weird and mysterious pipes. Again, they didn't have to include it, but they did. And it really helps set the scene, IMO.

Lucky kid. I tried to stop this purchase, saying that once you've used the parchment you've used it, and how do you ever decide what you're going to use it FOR...but he bought it. And hasn't used it. Either because he realized that on his own or because my words echoed in his head. Either way, hasn't been used.

We got the Universal photo card thing for AP holders. It's confusing and I don't totally understand it, but we got it. :)

We had pictures taken, we went to the photo people later, they did things to the pictures, I got home and signed up for the online thingie and there were pictures there. I downloaded them. There we go. I'm not sure if this is still so, but we were able to have one of the pictures put on the photo card, and that was fun. We also got one free print; if you didn't like the first picture you could trade it for another. If you didn't like that picture you could trade it. And so on.

We bought it in the Spiderman shop, and then saw that the line for Spidey was very very short.

What's cool is that they put all the versions of the pictures on the account.

What you get if you don't buy the photo and just take the shot with your own camera.

What you get if they leave something off.

The END result.

And if you have that picture printed (as we did) and ask Spidey to sign it, this is the picture you get.

And yes, the Batman shirt was commented on. Said something about Eamon having the wrong shirt on, and what do they have to do to get him into a Spiderman shirt. We can't remember what else was said, but it was funny (and not mean at all, just funny).

I have been on the fence about the Photo Connect card but now I see its really necessary if you don't want green screen pics! You also get to order a CD with high quality pics for printing if I understand correctly.

The butter beer looks delish! I can hardly wait to try it. :drinking:

Too funny about the batman shirt. A similar thing happened to DD at WDW when the bag check guy realized he was looking at a Taz bag.

The green screen thing is only for Spiderman, but since he's a pretty big draw it could very well be important to you. Now, the last time DS posed with Spiderman, we didn't buy the picture. As we were leaving, they called me back and offered it to me at half off...I still didn't buy it (why? WHY?) but I thought it was interesting that they did (maybe still do?) have some leeway with prices.

I have to log in to my account, see if the CD option is there. I found the whole thing to be VERY confusing, honestly. At least in February you had to go to a counter later on, so they could manually enter in all the extras. We have one picture where that got skipped, so it looks kind of silly.

But since it's a year thing, as far as I know our cards will still work in October (and even January?). Hope?

Yeah, your picture sealed it for me, I will NOT be riding The Hulk :scared1:

and I WILL be trying the Butterbeer :thumbsup2

Try both frozen and cold. I prefer frozen. DS prefers cold. If you get the cold, drink it somewhat fast; the creamy topping gets a bit odd as it ages in my opinion, but that doesn't seem to happen with the frozen.

My preference is also the pumpkin fizz that you can get in the "bar" vs the pumpkin juice in the bottle. The bottle is a great souvenir, but it was really thick and highly pumpkiny. Not really refreshing in the heat. The fizz is really light and much nicer.

I cannot believe I let my itsy bitsy teensy weensy baby on this ride! Here he is in the test seat.

The ride dominates the part of the park where it is. You're seeing support beams and legs, you're walking under the netting to catch loose items, and you're hearing it every minute or so.

These pictures aren't meant to capture Hulk, but to get Superhero island as the sun is starting to set, but you can still see structures in the pictures.

Oh, well, this is just the coaster.

Sorry random single-rider-man, but here's our picture. I do not have a clue why I look like I"m having a nice time in this picture. I was, again, grasping the handles so hard I'm surprised I didn't break them. I think it's because I saw the camera and tried to smooth out my face a bit? E saw it, too, and posed. That's how I knew the picture was coming. And weirdly the singlerider LOVED the ride. It's like he and I swapped expressions or something. EDITING-after-posting......Looking at the picture again, singleriderman seems to be smiling...a minute ago he seemed to be grimacing...yeah, I think I need food right now if pictures are changing (either that or I AM actually a wizard!!!!)

DigitalDownload7aspx_zps0ac7fe8d.jpg

Who knows, maybe someday I'll get used to it. In some ways I hope I do. In other ways I hope I don't. What will it feel like to have slimmer-hubby and my boy on the ride without me? I don't know; maybe I'll feel left out. No good way to know.

All I know is that for now I sincerely dislike that ride, and the deep bass whooooosh of the ride kind of scares me every time I hear it.

I have just realized I've only had coffee today, with no food, and that situation must be remedied immediately.

Molly there's an Orlando Informer WWoHP photo scavenger hunt--I've been previewing it a little and the photo of the window with pipes is one of the pics. Thanks. :)

Dh and DS like the heroes on motorcycles thing.

OK those pictures weren't thrilling, but it's neat to be there as they rumble up on their vehicles (more like ATVs than motorcycles) and then spread out to meet people.
