February 2012 Check-in!

I will post a review about the tour....know they are running it through March as a trial basis by itself!
really looking forward to WOC, we love the Fairfield too, staying there most of our trips!

good luck with your training, what a fun job!!

Thanks Mommy2, I am sooo excited to start this new adventure in my life! I love Disney so much, it's perfect for me! :yay::banana::thumbsup2

I found info on the tour after I read your post, it sounds fabulous!! I wish my friend and I could do that but I think it would take too much of the day and we are moving to another hotel on the day before she leaves, and I think they only do it on certain days anyway? I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time, look forward to your review! :woohoo: I think we will stay at the Fairfield in a couple of summers, want to go back for my son's high school grad in 2013!

7 days until we leave! :goodvibes

I hope some of you will stop by after your trips and let us know how it went. Hope everyone has a wonderful time! :tinker:

We leave Thursday, can't wait! The kids are going to school until around lunchtime, then we will pick them up and head to the airport. Our plan is to do the early entry at Disneyland on Friday, hit the Fantasy Land rides, then head over to Indiana Jones (DS6 is finally tall enough, he's very excited!).

Flying down on Feb. 29th and back home on Mar. 1st. Quick trip with a friend without our families. Haven't booked a hotel room yet, maybe we'll just nap on a park bench. :)

First post here to happily say we will be driving down on the 25th and (unhappily) back home on the 29th.

Change of plans we are going all out and are now booked for the GCH in less than 2 weeks. Hoping for sunny weather so we can hang by the pool every afternoon.:cool1:

We've changed hotels from PPH to DLH since we found out that the pool will be closed while we're there. So our new plan is 2/18-2/25 at the DLH. While I had wanted to stay at PPH, I'm definitely looking forward to being at DLH now with all the renovations done. :goodvibes

Hey guys! I'm mostly a lurker but I just HAD to share my excitement with people who would be excited with me :goodvibes We'll be at DLR on Saturday, so 4 day countdown, woohoo!!! I have been there 3 times, once as a kid and twice with my ex husband. Actually our first date was there and we spent our 5th anniversary there so I've kind of been avoiding it. But I'm remarried with a 6yo and I just can't stay away anymore. I am so excited to see it again and compare with our trips to WDW. I am a HUGE planner when I go to Florida. Yes I'm "that lady" with the spreadsheets showing our dining ressies and which FP's to get first. But honestly we've decided to go low key on this one and though I'm a bit nervous I'm actually a little less stressed. We have dinner at Goofy's the night we get there (Saturday), then I know we're doing one day at DL, one day at DCA, and then splitting the third day. Other than that I have NO PLANS... I feel so naked! Especially since I've never been to DCA. I'm hoping it will be a little less crowded on Monday and Tuesday, and also because it's the first week in Feb, but I know that DLR is typically busier than WDW on any given day just due to its location. So anyways wish us luck, and happy dance for all of us that get to go this month!

PS - Staying at the Park Vue simply due to location, will take pics!

have a great time!

as a DLR veteran and 7 visits to WDW I ALWAYS plan everything at WDW, DLR we just wing it.. DLR is so much easier to park hop and ADR's aren't too hard to get last minute unless its holiday's and peak times!

we will be there over Pres Day weekend and only made our ADR's a couple weeks ago and still got what we wanted!

Add 2 more to the list, visiting Feb 22nd and 23rd.

Are we the only ones staying at the Candy Cane Inn?

Just an update on our itinerary:

2/26- drive to LA from Sacramento, check into Peacock Suites with inlaws and have a fmaily dinner at Rainforeast Cafe.
2/27- day 1 Disneyland
2/28- Day 2 Disneyland
2/29- Day 3 DCA- Ariel's lunch for DD 2nd birthday. Probably hit Disneyland after hours once kids are in bed if we can ge tthe inlaws to stay with them.
3/1- Possibly take another day at the beach or stay at the inlaws in Fresno for a night.
3/2- HOME!!!

Questions- Should we do DCA on leap day? I picked that day because I thought Disneyland would be packed plus it's DD birthday. can't decide to do DCA Tues or Wed.

I don't think it really matters which park you are at on the 29th. I think they will both be busy.

I did just go look on Touring Plans and they are saying that Disneyland is going to be much busier than DCA.

You can put me down! We'll be there Feb23-26th at the Hojo's. First time staying at the Hojo's, gonna miss the DLH, but now that we have annual passes, we can't stay on site everytime. Plus, this is the kid-free trip! Momma needs both her hands for churros and dole whip :rotfl:

I am now picturing eating a dole whip with a churro for a spoon.:rotfl:

We leave tomorrow! My son and I are going to PPH in the afternoon to decorate the hotel rooms with Disney Party stuff. We have 2 adding rooms, then will be headed to the airport to pick up the Grandkids for their first ever Disney experience! We can't wait! Weather looks great.
