February 2010

So excited.

We are headed to Disney January 29-Feb8. Staying at the BCVillas. My parents are DVC members, which is wonderful, as I currently have the only grandkids, so we get to go with them to Disney lots!

Bringing my DD3, who will get to do the BBB for the first time, and DD who is just 3 months. I think this is my older daughter's 4th or 5th? trip to Disney. My whole family goes every-other Thanksgiving, and most of my siblings are going to make it for at least part of this trip as well. We'll also be back for Thanksgiving this year with the whole gaggle.

Last time we went in February (in '08) we hit the Louisiana crowds, which we didn't expect, as well as the cheerleaders one weekend. Still wasn't too bad, but we booked to avoid that this year. Can't wait! :yay:

we went in feb 08 and ran into the same crowds. just as an fyi, national dance championship is feb 5-7. crowds shouldn't be as bad as 08.

i will add u

We're going from the 13th to the 20th. The first (and only other) time we went, we took the kids out of school the week prior to Feb. break and stayed through for 10 days. The first week was awesome, and once the weekend hit-what a difference!! :scared1: We can't do that this year b/c I now teach, so I am very nervous about the crowds. The first thing I did was renew TGM, but I am feeling very overwhelmed! I hope I am not offending anyone, but I am sort of getting the impression that TGM is a bit outdated this time around. I am finding a lot of info on the boards that aren't mentioned in the plans. I'm sure the plans will still be a life-saver though. I'm thinking I should upgrade our tickets to park-hoppers, just in case.

President's Week and Mardi Gras week fall during the same week. So expect crowds. I would get the hopper.

I will add you.

Just got my Magical Express vouchers and tags in the mail!!!:banana: Can't believe I'm ALMOST inside of a month!!! Only twenty more working days! Woo hoo!

Saw some pictures from New Year's Eve at Epcot this year....I am now officially terrified about crowds the week I'm there (the 13th-21st)... Someone please tell me it won't be like that! :scared1: I know its going to be crowded, but I saw lines that were completely redonkulous.

Anyone else going to be at CSR that week?

We are an Delta Airline Family with flight privelages and people are always asking us why we don't fly to Disney. A couple of reasons: 1) there is no guarantee that we will get on a flight to get to WDW or home, 2)it is harder to get on flights since 9/11, Delta is filling up flights by canceling other flights that are not full, hope that made some sense, 3) it is a pain in the you know what to travel with 2 kids (one with special needs) and a service dog. So we just drive, so we can pack all of the equipment needed for ds and his dog. Plus it is cheaper than renting a car. Basicly, it is way too stressful for us to fly, I am one that likes knowing that I have a guaranteed seat instead of just winging everything. Plus ds has a meltdown when we don't make a flight, we were threatened once by a gate agent that we will lose our flight benefits if we cannot calm ds down. I explained to her that he was autistic and she said that it did not matter. This is another reason we don't fly.

Oh wow!! That is so rude! I can't believe she told you that. Oh wait...yes I can. I'm thinking we are sticking to driving. We've done it so many times it really isn't too big of a deal.

Here's my countdown that I made thanks to BlueeyedGirl's idea.

I hope this worked.

Checking in 1/31 thru 2/9 at POFQ, can hardly wait !! This is our first Feb. trip and also first time at POFQ. We're doing the QS Dining plan, I don't like planning my days around ADR's. We'll still hit a couple of our fav TS restaurants OOP but there are plenty of good CS joints to satisfy us. Oh, we're taking our new 11 mo. old granddaughter for the first time too. :yay:

We are staying at WL from January 31st-February 5th :cool1: It is DS5's 3rd trip but this one is different because my DM and I are taking him by ourselves and it is a surprise trip for his 6th birthday. We are having his party on the day before we leave and we are giving him a T-shirt I made (thank Creative Disign board) that has his name in Mickey ears and says, "Celebrating my 6th birthday at WDW!! I can't wait to see the look on his face!

Bay Lake Tower's during president's day week:cool1:

I am so excited to be staying there and now that the trip is getting closer it's the only thing on my mind! We leave a month from today!
