With just a month to go my family and I are joining this group. Yesterday I decided to go to an event at Disney. Since we LOVE Disney and are already paying for the airfare we are extending the stay. We think we will be staying at Pop Century Feb 6-10 and then we will be staying at Polynesian Feb 10-13.

Someone on this thread had put together a count down board with the paint sample Mickey Heads and I can't seem to find it...I wanted to put one together. Can you let me know if you come across it?

We just booked our Mardi Gras trip!!!

This will be our third trip on the APs we got from the 4/3 special last year - and we also used the 10% discount!!! Hopefully we will have a fourth trip in late May!!! The last time we bought APs we went 4 times.

Jeff is driving me bonkers! I keep emailing him asking him to send me his "must-sees/must-dos" and ..... nothing. I also informed him that we are RD people and that if he decides to sleep in, he can, but we're not backtracking to stand in line for something he wanted to ride if he missed it by sleeping.

We will be there Feb 12-21, 2010. We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside, hoping to stay in bld 14 on the first floor because of ds's handicaps and his service dog. So if anyone will be there then, find us and say hello and ask about Luke Skywalker (ds's service dog). This will help ds work on his social skills. And yes, you can pet Luke, just ask ds. He is the type of service animal that can be petted.

Yes we are! We always do. I thought about flying this time but the prices were too high. Just when I got the cost of the plane tickets to even out with what we spend driving, I looked at the cost of a rental car......they wanted $600 for a sedan!! NO WAY!! We will stick to driving until those prices come down.

We are an Delta Airline Family with flight privelages and people are always asking us why we don't fly to Disney. A couple of reasons: 1) there is no guarantee that we will get on a flight to get to WDW or home, 2)it is harder to get on flights since 9/11, Delta is filling up flights by canceling other flights that are not full, hope that made some sense, 3) it is a pain in the you know what to travel with 2 kids (one with special needs) and a service dog. So we just drive, so we can pack all of the equipment needed for ds and his dog. Plus it is cheaper than renting a car. Basicly, it is way too stressful for us to fly, I am one that likes knowing that I have a guaranteed seat instead of just winging everything. Plus ds has a meltdown when we don't make a flight, we were threatened once by a gate agent that we will lose our flight benefits if we cannot calm ds down. I explained to her that he was autistic and she said that it did not matter. This is another reason we don't fly.

Thanks! Is was easy to do. What took the longest was finding & printing out the diff pics from WDW to put underneath. DS loves taking off the # & seeing what pic is there. He is definitely excited. Even my 1 yr old likes to look at it. He is already a big Mickey fan!
