February 2010

Sorry, I meant February 7th. It is projected to be very crowded. Just seems odd on a Sunday. There are also EMH from 9-12.

As Blue said, the Super Bowl is in Miami. The year it was in Jacksonville, WDW was busier than normal.

Also the National Dance Team Championships are held at Wide World of Sports and DHS. Sunday is the last day of competition. If teams are eliminated, they may be in the parks rather than competing. DHS for sure is more crowded on that weekend. The teams also use DHS as a transportation hub to and from resorts and the WWoS.

Just some thoughts.

Add me to the Feb. countdown! We will be there Feb. 4-9. Why are some saying that Sunday, February 7th WILL be crowded? How do you know that for sure?
We will be staying at AKL.........yippie!!!

Thanks! :)

btw-The more I think about Super Bowl Sunday, the more I think that people wouldn't be in the parks because they will be someplace else watching the game. Don't you think that seems logical?

I agree, that is logical. I was just reviewing the predictions on touring plans and they have it rated as a very crowded day. Just wasn't sure why. Perhaps they use last year's attendance in their calculations. Since the Superbowl was close by, I'm sure it was crowded last year. Seems it shouldn't be in 2010....

in 2008 It was VERY crowded Superbowl Sunday but it was also had the Mardi gras crowd as well.

I did update your dates.:thumbsup2

Looks like we'll be at the same parks on the 6th and 8th.

Thanks for doing the update. Had to do some changes on the ADR's though - one of the families in our Grand Gathering can't arrive until Saturday afternoon - meaning that we had to cancel Tony's. So, we now have this:

Feb 5th - arrive MCO approx 4:00pm (hopefully on time) - Dinner at DTD, somewhere!
Feb 6th - Magic Kingdom (no ADR planned as of yet)
Feb 7th - Hollywood Studios (Late lunch at Sci-Fi: changed so we can pay OOP and free up a table service credit)
Feb 8th - Epcot (Dinner at Teppan Edo - never been, our kids boy, 9 and girl, 5 - will probably love the "show")
Feb 9th - Hollywood Studios again (leaving park early for dinner at Boma - changed from Boatwrights since we're doing the Grand Gathering at AK now)
Feb 10th - Epcot again (Dinner at Akershus)
Feb 11th - Animal Kingdom (Grand Gathering Safari Dinner)
Feb 12th - Magic Kingdom (Breakfast at 'Ohana)
Feb 13th - Depart MCO at 10:00 am

Hubby just found out Christmas day that I planned a trip Feb 26-March 2nd so now I can post it to the world. I planned this weekend since it is the ESPN weekend. Figure hubby can have best of both worlds... Disney and ESPN. Has anyone ever been before and have advice?

Sooo...excited. We will be in Disney at OKW 2/16/10-2/19/10, then AKV savannah view 2/20/10-2/23/10. We are so psyched!!!!

We are doing are second trip to Disney.. We will be in WDW on my sons 3rd b-day Feb. 1st.
This will be our first trip staying at a Disney Resort. We stayed off site last time and had a blast in October. Already going back and staying at POFQ. We are so excited!!!

Jan 29 - Feb 5th Port Orleans French Quarter

We are going Feb. 17 - 25. We surprised the kids w/ the trip for Christmas. It was the last gift they opened.

Last year when we went we surprised them also ~ we didn't tell them until we drove to the airport and parked the car! Ha Ha ... they had no idea! My husband wanted to surprise this way again but I just hated not being able to talk about the trip and trying not to slip. This way they have a few weeks to get excited about the trip!

If any of you are staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort in 2010, please come join our 2010 CBR Countdown thread. The link is in my signature below. Who knows...some of us may see each other.
