Nope I really can't believe it!! I feel like I havent done a thing for this trip. I have got to get busy and get our touring plans together and I still havent arranged our ground transportation here in L.A. or the Orlando portion. Kids did not care for Magical Express, and honestly the ride back was not to fun, so I have to get a car service. Still have to arrange my garden grocer order and our POP window. (Need lots of ideas and help with that one!)

Is the Magical Express more trouble than it's worth? Maybe we should get a car service, too. I have this fear of arriving in Orlando at 1 p.m. and not getting to our 6 p.m. dinner reservation.

From one Minnesotan to another, if you can spare the extra change to get a town car, do it! It is quicker (no waiting in long lines or stopping at multiple resorts), and the driver will meet you at baggage claim to assist with your luggage. A town car through Mears Transportation, for example, is about $70 one way so there is a signigicant expense compared to the free ME service. But the car is clean, quiet, and quick. BTW, a taxi will also be right around $50 or more one way to WDW, and there again, you run a risk of standing in line at the cab stand and/or getting a filthy car. DW and I do a town car at every opportunity. One other advantage is the return trip to the airport and is much more relaxing in a town car then via the ME. Again it will run $60 back to the airport, but you are paying for peace and quiet, relaxation, and a bit of luxury. :thumbsup2

BTW, you would probably make your 6pm res just fine if you take the ME, however, there are more variable in place to help make things a bit more rushed!

The return was worse for me. We waited and waited around until the bus filled up. Then drop off was out of the way we had to trek farther across the airport, then with the car service. Our arrival trip was nice, but we did arrive at 5:30 in the morning we were in our room at POP by 6:30!

Happy Limo has the round trip in a town car for $100 plus the tip. I used Happy Limo our first trip and LOVED it!! I plan on using them again for this trip

We will be at CP at 6:10 on feb 2. So I don't think we can make it to the meet at 6:45. If We do make it, there are 4 of us (Me: the father, DW: mother, DD: 6 year old, and DS: 3). We will have the same shirt on, but have not decided which shirt yet (I'm not that planning obsesed). :rotfl2:

We originally planned our next WDW trip to be Dec 2009 (I know, so far away), but my DH agreed to go to WDW next month!!:yay: It's so last minute, so I figured there wouldn't be much left. BUT we got AKL pool view the week of Feb.10-15, plus I asked if there was a code attached to my name & after a minute or so, she said we got a discount!!!:woohoo: It saved us almost $300 including PH upgrade, I'll take it! We asked my mom to come & it will be her 1st WDW trip! My head is spinning! I'm not used to planning in such short notice. Time to figure out our schedule & ADRs!!:rotfl:

Wendy and Sabrina-I loved your conversation. I feel ashamed that I am SOOOO ready to get our Christmas decor down so we can start packing!! We always keep it up until the 12th day of Christmas(1/6) and the kids are wanting it down troo . I told them last month once it was down we could pack! They are itchin' like me to get going!!

I don't plan what clothes for what day either. Just know we will match MOST days.

I have sooo much to do before we go!!

Anyone know where/how to make a pin for DD to wear daily??? If she isn't wearing her shirt, I'd like her to have a pin on!! Maybe I'll order one from a cancer survivor website I know...hmmm...

On another note-we are house hunting, not officially of course. OUr home is SMALL and that is okay BUT I want a nieghborhood my kids can be free-er in. Oh and an INSIDE laundry room or hole or whatever. Ours is in the garage and not insulated and I have to wear a COAT to wash this week!! Thankfully DH took care of most of it for us this past week!!

Good Morning.

Only 29 more days for me. I went to the Dollar Tree yesterday and stocked up on glow sticks. I think I enjoy them as much as the kids do. I also bought some snacks and suction cups for the window decorations. I came home and put them all together in a tote bag. That means I've officially started packing. :thumbsup2 What a great feeling that is. I hope to meet up with some of you. We are also staying at POP and are part of a Grand Gathering. I won't be at the P&PP but I hope to see you guys around the resort or in the food court. I'll have a lime green mickey head on my backpack. Please say Hi :wave2: if you see me.

If anyone is looking for AP rates, they came out today. Sun - Thurs. 2/14 - 3/six (number button won't work!). Just thought i would share. We just booked Yacht club 2/24 - 3/1 for another $230 off our AAA rate! YEAH!

I am ready to, but the kids want to wait until the 6th also as the 6th is an important day. We will have everyone over for our Rosca bread and kids get little gifts. Then everything is coming down.

I don't plan what clothes for what day either. Just know we will match MOST days.

I just do a quick list of outfits we are taking so that I know we all have enough clothes. We don't match at all. But I am thinking about wearing our USC shirts for the meet, either SC or Dodgers. Havent decided yet.

I have sooo much to do before we go!!.

Me too!! I went to Target yesterday and found the kids thermals. Seen a report that water parks were closed due to extremely cold weather, so I thought better to be prepared. Anything under 35 is freezing to us.

Nice!!! How is the market over there, prices are really taking a dive here right now. Homes that were going for 600,000 two years ago are being sold for 300,000 - 400,000 (in the valleys, not in the City) My washing machine is out in the garage to and its a total PIA, I feel your pain! Yea for DH! :thumbsup2

Check the siggy!! and its actually 27 days. We are leaving the 30th now, arriving at MCo around 4:15!

I've already taken my Christmas decorations down...:sad2: I have an excuse though. My son's bday party is Saturday and we needed the extra room. Once his party is over - it's going to be on. I won't have anything else to distract me. (Not that its doing a good job at distracting me right now...:lmao: )

We are in the middle of planning to build. Same reason as you Lori. Need a better neighborhood. We have our lot and a draft of the floorplan. I just can't concentrate on anything until after Disney!:rotfl: We don't plan on building until next school year anyway.:) Good luck looking!

Yes I've been trying to get the word out all morning. It is on the AP website now too!

Hey Grumpyswife, I am not going to P&PP that night either, but I will be there to meet you all at 6:30 at the Jungle Cruise area.

WE also do something very small and keep them up until Kings day. We get our first King cake of the year(even though they are already being sold).

I was thinking we could sub an new construct. ourselves(got a book and all about it) but I don't know that that is for us. Not scared, I just know US. DH is not very mechanically inclined and although he has stepped out of his comfort zone for small things(BIG to us), a house that we LIVE in may not be it. On the plus side, he is good at the business aspect(has his MBA ,concentration in finance and is an compliance/auditor!!). Anyway, we are thinking our price range is going to be tough to get exactly what we want, BUT that it is possible. We saw a lot in the opast 2 days. The big thing about our price range is that we want to stay in the Covington/Abita/even Madisonville area due to our church home and homeschool association. Many travel FAR to have this but I am not willing to move more than 15 miles out at this time. There is a home with 5 acres in a SUBD. that my friend lives in that is possible, but then we are looking at having to keep up a lot of land!!! I have to tell you that we are looking and interested, but this is going to have to be a "God" thing for it to fit our budget w/out me working more than I do now. Homeschooling is #1 right now. If it isn't meant to be, then we'll just have to keep packing them up to go riding!! BUT I really think we'll be able to make it happen!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

On another note-I got my AP a LONG time ago, is that gonn'a matter???

Started our EPCOT study today- from here on out "hello's" and "thank yous" will be in Malay(Singapore, for good measure!!), Spanish, French, Chinese(mandarin), Japanese, Darija(one of the many from Morocco-Islam with a twist of French) Norwegian(Is that a language, I don't remember from my research!!), German, or Italian!! Or even the UK- "Hello, old chap!" "My name is Bond, James Bond".

I think this EPCOT unit study is gonna fan the flames of anxiousness for WDW!!!:rotfl:

Lori

It is freezing over here..I think we have a busted pipe too. On the bright side, DD and I stayed up last night to finally work on our big Disney Countdown poster. Again, I think I was more excited. DD says,"Mom, let me know when the fun stuff happens," and then she took off. At that time I was drawing lines with the ruler and such. They are so funny. Anyway, I think I am off to buy gloves for today and Disney. I know they will come in handy. :cheer2:

Yikes, I hope you feel better soon, better now then in 28 days!!!

Hey ~ I'm up from my nap!!! Thanks Sabrina

I'm just hoping they fix me up tomorrow - I've got to be able to eat all that food I've booked ADR's for!!! LOL
