FEBRUARY 2008 WDW travelers post HERE!!!

Also, what's TGM? I've seen that mentioned before, but I have no clue what it is!

Thanks!

TGM is for Tour Guide Mike. He's the sponser for at least one or more sites here. He is AWESOME with planning! A subscription is about $20, but many say it's more than worth it. I had used him before and was pleased, but I'm unsure if I should use him again if it's not busy.
BTW, thanks for the $info about booking for room-only!;)

hey ya'll!! If you go to page 1, post 1, I added everyone with definitive dates. I have a big list of Mardi Gras travelers that had no specific dates and I will add them soon. Whew, the list is pretty big!! It took a while to get them in date order, so if it ain't perfect, o'well!! ;)

I like TGM so far!!

If I can book 190 days out, I can get on the phone today!! Need to call my SIL first though! I haven't heard of this before.
Gonna' try though. I'll let you know what I find out!

KJBROWN-2/2-2/9-?

Thanks again for doing this, it's fun to see everyone.

We are staying at the Poly if you want to add that, no big deal to me if you don't. :)

I called today for ADRs and the woman confirmed the data calculated on the PScalculator website. (Sorry, I forget the address, right now).

BEFFERK-2/9-2/16-?

Just an update, our solid travel dates are now 2/8 - 2/19 and staying at ASMo! :cool1: Have room ressies, airline tickets, tickets to the Daytona 500, and now just waiting to do a few ADRs! And waiting on those darn rates, so I can budget better!!

BEFFERK and KJBROWN- done! Thank you.
My DH thinks I am nutty for sitting outside last night putting everyone for Feb in order! He thinks I am nutty anyway for "talking" to people in the PC! BUT he takes in all in stride and the way I am:love: !!

Something you may all know already, but I didn't realize that when you stay on property, you can actually book 190 days out. So we are going Jan 25 to Feb 2nd. Last night I called, and was able to make all of our ADR's for all 9 days. They CM said she wished she has a dollar for every person who asked her "when are the codes coming out?" She said "people actaully call in and ask just that question." I wanted to say to her " DUH!! " And I am one of those people!!!

Anyhow... glad to have all 9 events booked !

I just got off the phone with Disney Dining Reservations. I just wanted to clarify the 180 vs 190 rule.

The CM told me that you cannot book until 180 days before your check-in date. On that day, you can book your dining reservations for up to 10 days out from your check-in date.

Since it's a little hard to understand, I'll use this example:

Your check-in date is 2/2/08. The 180 day mark to start making dining reservations is 8/6/07.

On 8/6/07, you can make dining reservations for 2/2/08 and every day of your stay up until 2/12/08 (10 days).

That's where the extra 10 days comes from. Instead of having to call back every day (ie call on 8/7/07 to book for 2/3/08....call on 8/8/07 to book for 2/4/08...etc...), you can make all your reservations in one call....provided that your check-in date is 180-days or less.

Since DISNEYRIFFIC's check-in date is on Jan 25th, 2008, they were able to book all dining reservations for their stay starting on 7/29/07 (this past Sunday).

Just needed to add that the CM told me this rule is only good for people staying onsite at Disney. If you stay offsite, you have to go by the 180 day mark from the day you want the dining reservation.

I also thank you for taking all the time to do that!:)
If I counted correctly, I could possibly run into, at any given time during my stay, 27 of you! Wow! (Gee, is it too much to ask that no one else on the planet will be there except me and those 27 others?!?! )

Lori, I too like Mike! I'm just trying to decide if I'll need him in February if the crowds are low (any one know? Feb. 6-13? Anyone?)

95 and melting outside... makes me wish I was in Disney in February!!!!:cool1:

We will be there from 2/16 to 2/23 staying at POR. Can't wait for our annual visit!

I've made my room only reservations at the Boardwalk for 2/4-2/9, 2008. My youngest daughter,15, will be with my DH and me. First trip without our oldest daughter. She'll be in TN in college and no Mardi Gras holidays!! We've been away from Disney for awhile. We've been cruising. I'm glad I found these boards. I find cruise info by visiting cruise message boards and I'm finding out a lot about Disney from this board. A lot has changed in the 5 years we have been away. Looking forward to going back and enjoying the Disney magic!!!

I thought this was right!! It seemed like it would be a KNOWN thing if you could make ressies earlier. I did know that we could make ressies for our whole trip-b/c it did NOT used to be like that!! For DD9 MAW trip in '02, I had to get up 3 mornings in a row for ressies at CRT-the only thing she just HAD to do!!! It was boggling-esp b/c it was her wish trip!

Mardi Gras vacation for us - Feb 2-8 at Pop! Waiting to finalize is driving me CRAZY! Can't wait to make my ADR's.:cool1:

Okay, so *maybe* I am a little obsessed, but...

It is August 1st and the WDW website still doesn't have their hours posted! :(

They have the month of February as a drop down selection, but all the days say "Hours Unavailable". :surfweb:

Hello? Don't they know there are super obsessed crazy people out here waiting to make their itineraries for 6 months from now?!

Tell me I'm not alone! :)

YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!

I stayed up until midnight Florida time last night to see if they'd add anything. There was nothing new. This morning I checked again and saw the same thing you did. What is the point of adding it to the drop down box but not just putting the hours on the calendar too??? UGGHHH!!!!!!!
I don't even care about a discount code anymore. I just want to book my vacation. I need to know the hours so that I can plan the days we are going to which park. THEN, I can decide where we are eating on which day and make my ADR's. Aug. 13 is my 180 days out mark. I feel for the people in January. I'm sure their plans are all messed up.:sad2:

YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!

THANK YOU! :thumbsup2

Well, since I work in IT, I would guess their system just has an automatic thing that when it's the first of the month, it shows the next month available. If no data has been input then it just shows "Hours Unavailable".

Of course, it just makes me want to call and find out WHO inputs those times and tell 'em to get moving!!! ;)

I totally agree!:lmao: I'm hoping they add the hours within the next few days.:confused3 I called and was told about a week ago that it would be out in about a week and a half. So a few more days would make that.

Here's to hoping one more time!:wizard:

That's odd. I thought they released the hours on the first of every month. I guess I just assumed that because January came out on July 1st.

WAH. I want them now! :sad2:

I, too, stayed up until midnight - no luck. Woke up this morning - no luck. Left to run an errand, came back - still no luck. I make my adr's on the 6th and I NEED to know those hours so that I can make up my mind on where we will be on which days!!!! They also need to hurry with next year's rates! I'm so anxious and excited I could burst!

Boy, once we get those ADRs and itineraries, it's going to be a loooooong six months! :lmao:

I am patiently waiting for the park hours to appear and for the reservations prices. I need to know the park hours so I can figure out what day for what park and what ADR to make. UGH!!!
