On our past trips we didn't make any ADRs - its been 5 years since the last visit. It seems to be the thing to do now. We will be doing the dining pass this time. I like the thought that we won't have to fork out lots of $$ when we're there. Hopefully!!!!! Thanks for any info you can provide. I can't wait for cool weather and having fun.

We're bringing my family with us this year - so we'll have 7 adults and 2 kids. I thought for the large group we should get them booked early. I've bought tickets for four of us to go to the Pirate & Princess Party and looked over the schedule for Spectro etc. to make sure we don't miss anything. Last year we called a couple months ahead and didn't really have trouble getting in anywhere - just some trouble with early or late sitting times. We also waited until too late to book Le Cellier on the evening we wanted to be at Epcot. And when we were there we counted find a TS restaurant to take us without an ADR - during low crowd season!
Looking over the menus for our choices has also helped us decide whether or not to buy the dining plan. I have an annual pass so I thought maybe the DDE discount might equal our savings plus give everyone else an option. We're staying together in the grand villa so if a few people don't want to buy the dining plan thinking they'll save money we're all stuck with not being able to get it. But of course, if you are even thinking of doing one TS a day then you may as well buy the plan - the savings are great!
It's a great time of year to get to Disney. Have fun planning!!
