Mickeywho, have you made your ADR already? I've got our days set, 2-11 -- 2-16 but haven't made any ADR's yet. Should I get going on this. On our past trips we didn't make any ADRs - its been 5 years since the last visit. It seems to be the thing to do now. We will be doing the dining pass this time. I like the thought that we won't have to fork out lots of $$ when we're there. Hopefully!!!!! Thanks for any info you can provide. I can't wait for cool weather and having fun.

We're bringing my family with us this year - so we'll have 7 adults and 2 kids. I thought for the large group we should get them booked early. I've bought tickets for four of us to go to the Pirate & Princess Party and looked over the schedule for Spectro etc. to make sure we don't miss anything. Last year we called a couple months ahead and didn't really have trouble getting in anywhere - just some trouble with early or late sitting times. We also waited until too late to book Le Cellier on the evening we wanted to be at Epcot. And when we were there we counted find a TS restaurant to take us without an ADR - during low crowd season!
Looking over the menus for our choices has also helped us decide whether or not to buy the dining plan. I have an annual pass so I thought maybe the DDE discount might equal our savings plus give everyone else an option. We're staying together in the grand villa so if a few people don't want to buy the dining plan thinking they'll save money we're all stuck with not being able to get it. But of course, if you are even thinking of doing one TS a day then you may as well buy the plan - the savings are great!
It's a great time of year to get to Disney. Have fun planning!! :surfweb:

aksunshine, were you able to get everything you wanted for your ADR, times specially? I've started working on ours but it's might be a day or two before I'm done. Can you make a few ADR at a time and keep adding to them? Were you able to get the cruise that you wanted also? Are you getting the park hopper option? I'm trying to decide whether we will need it. Anyone have any opinions? I know I can add that on when we get there. Thanks.

Yes I got all Adr's I wanted, including times, except one I had to move back 15 min. You can book what you have and add more later, but I would try to get them in soon, particularly if you plan on CRT or similar! I haven't booked a cruise yet, because I am unsure of exact details and who defin. wants to go with us. As for the hopper, we chose not to purchase this time around. Because we have been so few times, we will probably spend a day per park.

aksunshine...

I called 407-wdw-play and they said that cruises could only be booked 90 days out. Also, every body is counted, no matter what the age. The boats go by the # of ppl so even babies count.

I asked about the possibility of booking a Grand Gathering cruise and they said you'd have to booking a Grand Gathering to book any of the special things. I guess that won't work out for us.

And, since I have a group of 7, I think we'd have to get our own boat. :(

I would have loved to share a boat with you-- your DD is SUCH A CUTIE!!!!

Have fun and maybe we'll see you there!

I didn't realize they count babies! That's too bad! :confused3

That's OK, did you say you were staying at POP justwinnie? I know several Disers are at that time, maybe we could set up a POP meet? Another group is having a POP party meet, I think next month. Sounds fun! :cool1:
