We are going the end of January...I have so many surprises planned for DM and DB....but DM already pulled the biggest one....GF RPC!
I am so excited for you! You won't believe how fast the time goes...I have been irritating my family with Disney for months...so now I come here and bug people.
Get thee a countdown timer ASAP! And obsess about planning!
I am so glad that there are people out there that are as crazy for Disney as I am!!! We will be "home" Feb. 8 - 15!!! We are not sure where we are staying, probably POFQ. Would love to stay at Poly!!! Someday!!! Have a great trip everyone!!
We were there this year for the Daytona 500 which was during President's Week. CROWDED is all I can say. Lines for rides were 45-90 minutes. DH & I usually go in the off season so we were not used to those crowds. Hope it's better for you.
We'll be at CBR on Feb 2-5, then on to the Disney Wonder for a four day cruise to put the cherry on top of our first ever Disney parks/cruise!! Just 123 more days....
I am *tentatively* planning AKL Feb 8-15th for DSs b'day. We just got back last weekend so I don't want to push DH too hard for another trip (not to mention we have DCL booked for Nov '06).
Anyway - does anyone know when President's Week, Daytona, and any other holidays I should be aware of are in Feb?? I am in Canada and the President's Day holiday is not on my calendar. Thanks!
The Daytona 500 is Sunday February 19, 2006.
Like I said in an earlier post, we were there last year and that alone draws over 175,000 people. President's Week is the same week and Disney does get crowded. We are DVC Members and stayed at the Boardwalk in February. When we were leaving for the race early Sunday morning, we were not the only ones going from the Boardwalk. We were not the only ones combining a Daytona 500 with a week at Disney.
