February 2005. Any insider tips on prices?

I will be taking my first Disneyland trip in February 2005 (after about 20 times at WDW!!!). Does anyone know when the rates for 2005 will be up? I am hoping for a three day stay at Grand Californian and a three day Park Hopper.

You can book a package for 2005 already. I have one booked for Feb 05.

Where did you book your package?
I checked the Disney Land site and prices are not out for after Jan 4, 2005.

You can't book them online only over the phone. Don't know why. Are some good deals. If you stayed at the DLR hotels with a package you got a rebate in Disney dollars. Also if you book a package you get EE to Fantasyland and to Mickey's Toontown Madness.

Keeping my fingers crossed that I can afford a couple of nights at The Grand Californian!!!!

While I have you hostage on this thread......I heard the DLR crowds are nowhere near those at WDW. Is there any truth to this statement? I can usually go through the Four WDW parks, One water park and Downtown Disney in Five and a half days. I am planning on three for DL? Is this reasonable?

Not sure as this is my first trip in 20 years. We are spending 4 days between the 2 parks however we will be traveling with a 17 month old. I would think 3-4 days would be sufficient. Are you doing some other attractions.

BTW fly into John Wayne Airport not LA Int'l if you can. Much much closer to the DL area. We are booking plane fare thru Air Miles and they are booked going into LA Int'l but lots of seats left for John Wayne.

DL actually can feel much more crowded than the MK at WDW because the pathways are narrower. If you come to DL during the week during the school year the crowds are fairly low (more so during the cooler months) but on weekends or during the summer it's usually pretty packed.
