February 20, 2011 DREAM

I would recommend booking as soon as online booking becomes available to you. If you are not able to secure a reservation you should book as soon as you get on the ship. Brunch will fill up fast since it is usually only available on sea days, dinner at Palo will have more availability because it is every night and there is also Remy as an adults only restaurant, plus with new restaurants to explore first some may choose not to eat there yet.

Ok thanks! I was just curious because I have herd people that get on at midnight to get there reservations. Also Has anyone done the Parasailing or the jet ski excursions

I have done the jet ski excursion and enjoyed it, they take you out quite a distance away from Castaway Cay to a sandbar and give you a little Bahamian history. I would do it again.

The speed you can control but you are not really left to wander around.

So if I am looking to be able to go out and go fast and mess around its problem not thing im looking for?

The description on the website makes it sound like you have a 15 min instruction on how to drive and then you go on a short tour and then they let you lose for 30 min or so and then you come back.

Hi Disers!
Checking in now that it is getting closer!
We just came back from our summer vacation in the White mountains of New Hampshire and we are now focusing in on our cruise with all of you! Yeah!!!!

I'm getting so excited about all of the little blurbs and clips being revealed about the Dream! Too cool! I think I am more excited than the kids right now. I guess to them it is still a "lifetime" away, but to me the time just seems to be flying by! We got our fish extender in the mail from ebay gradymommy (or something like that) - it is very cute :) - I can't wait to use it!!! I've been crafting some little items for the FE exchange and buying some little items as well!

We will be renewing our vows onboard. I purchased my dress, veil, shoes, and jewelry as well as my daughter's dresses & shoes for the ceremony. My hubby wants to wear a custom made cabana shirt - and have a matching one made for our little guy. I'm hoping to get on the ball and have that sized and ordered by the end of the summer... I started a planning journal if you'd like to read along - I haven't had time to update it lately but I will as it gets closer

We still have to get the kiddos their passports or passcards - what are you choosing for your kids? Hubby is in favor of the passcards but I am leaning towards the passports... Hmmmm....

Chat with ya soon :)

This was not my experience, though that was 4 or 5 years ago. They may have changed it some. If you want free reign on a jet ski some of the beaches around Nassau have rentals.

Congrats on your vow renewal.

Need to get that fishextender can anyone help me?

Well we are officially booked (well once the deposit is charged to the CC :) )

Next up is working out airfare and WDW pre-cruise.

Hello All:

1st time posting here. We are thinking about the Dream for this cruise. We did the Magic back in 08, RCCL Indy in 09, NCL Pearl in 10.

We would probably do 4 days in the park pre-cruise also. We are 5 Myself, DW, DD (5) at cruise time, DS (8) and my sister.

Still have a ton of research to do and need to get on the horn to Disney about Park bookings as they have not opened 2011 on the web yet.

will post back further once decisions are made.

Doug

I think we may be driving. The flights from Logan are $2300 for the four of us. Have never driven.

We ordered ours last year from gradysmom on Ebay. Very easy to order and you pick out colors and fabrics. It took about 3-4 weeks to get. It came out great. Not at home computer but I will post a pic of ours later today or tomorrow.

I dont know if everyone already knows this but I thought id post it. Im going to get my airfare as soon as southwest opens its next window of flights so that I can get the cheapest ticket. This is straight off the southwest website:

Now accepting reservations through January 7, 2011. On August 17, we will open our schedule for sale through March 11, 2011. This date is subject to change! Please check back frequently.

So on Aug 17 you can book the flights for the cruise and hopefully get a good deal :woohoo:

We are going too!!! I am so excited, as I'm sure everyone else here is. This will be our first cruise. Well, actually I went on one in high school for my senior trip, but I'm not really counting that. Anyway, it's me (Renee), my DH, DD who will be 10, and DS 7. My in-laws are thinking about coming too, but they haven't decided yet.

We originally were thinking of going to Disneyland in August using DVC points. But when we sat down and figured it all out, we are using less points this way. And we'd much rather do this!!!

I've been reading alot on here the past few days. I have alot to learn! We definitely want to do the FE too, so I'll be signing up there in a minute.

Renee

Thanks for the reminder:thumbsup2 I have my calendar marked and pray that the SWA airline gods pull thru with reasonable fares:worship:

Thanks for reminding me. We'll be down on Cape Cod so I might have to check from there. We still might drive - its getting way too expensive to fly.

My DD will be 11 on the cruise. I am sure she would love an email buddy. What is a PM that someone listed. We are heading off on our vacation camping then off to the White Mountains Labor day for the rubber ducky races. We are looking at hotels again. Was looking at the all stars to save money for shore trips and $ for parks but I read on line there is a cheer competition the week we will be there pre/post cruise. So off to the computer again.
