Now that the holidays are over, it's time to focus on the cruise!!! I have started my packing list & trying to figure out what else I need to buy for the cruise. I also need to start filling out the online forms too.
I just got the new 2011 DCL DVD & my kids have been watching it. My 5 yr old is super excited about the kids club & the restaurants.

WE CAN NOW SAY WE ARE CRUISING NEXT MONTH!!!!!!!

Two things I always bring on the cruise--a highlighter to mark the Navigator with what I want to do. You'll miss things otherwise. Also, a watch. I never wear one at home, but it's a good way to keep track so you don't miss events on the ship. I leave my cell in the room off, except for shore time, so it's the only way to keep track, the old-fashioned watch!

it looks like we'll be watching "Gnomeo and Juliet" on board...it opens in theaters on the 11th.

We also want to wish everyone a happy and healthy new year! We are getting more and more excited by the day! I think this is definitely helping with the after holiday let down and winter doldrums. But now that life is a little less crazy I can direct more time and energy into FE and Packing lists.

I finished my shopping for the FE gifts today...YEAH!! I also need to actually make the FE, but at least the most important part is done.

Thanks for the heads up on the new movie release...I had been wondering if there was going to be any new releases around our cruise, but had not seen any.

I had not really thought of it until I read the earlier post saying that we are cruising next month!! I have so much to do in the next few weeks. I really thought that I was pretty on top of things and prepared, but this is sneaking up quickly!

I had said before that we are staying at Country Inn and Suites, but we changed our minds. We have a DVC membership, so we are going to stay at our home resort the night before. I will just have to drag everyone out of bed early so that we can get to the terminal early. For those of you who have cruised Disney before, is this really important, or is it only so if you are trying to get other reservations ie:Tea with Alice? We are not going to try to upgrade or make changes to dining that I know of.

I am trying to get there early b/c I have to put DS down for some kind of nap b4 the drill. We need to eat lunch b4 that too. So I am hoping to eat lunch, visit guest services, then hopefully our room will be ready for nap time. I know it will be hard to get him down, but it will be better if he gets some sleep.

We booked stingray adventure at CC but were boxed out of a 3 person reservation for Palo dinner.....we snoozed and we loosed...is that right?!

we will check again when on-board, however.

reservations for tea with Alice before boarding possible or only on board?

My little ZuZu is registered for Oceaneers as well....shouldn't it be ocean-ears?

Tis the season.......we were all sick for xmas and new years...stomach virus hit on the 23rd and went through the house till the 26th...and then for new years- fevers and coughs.... still hacking...- is it sad that we all said "at least we are getting it over w/ before the cruise!!!??" lets hope it stays that way.......
anyway- hope everyone else had a Merry and a Happy!!!??

We are coming in on the 18th too and staying at the Country Inn-- and also got that great rate others were talking abt--Thanks!!! - have to cancel the first one I booked now.....would love to meet up though with you all!!! ordered my FE from a great person on Etsy.com- as well as shirts for the famliy....let me know if anyone wants the info.......have to work on some magnets now......


Target, as well as some other stores has their "Resort Wear" out-- and being excited I have bought some new suits and stuff for the kids already!!! But if I dont buy it when I see it I never get the right sizes!!

What forms do I need to fill out before online? guess i should ck into that huh?? and even though my girls are excited about the kids clubs- they are nervous too.. hopefully they make a few friends and warm up- so is it just a general regist?? im such a newbie.....

Hi everyone!

I have been reading here sporadically for a few months now. I tried to introduce myself a few times but I have been having trouble with my account... I've had one here since 2004 but apparently I can't post with it anymore. I think probably because my most recent previous login was in 2009...

ANYWAY, now that the event is almost upon us I gave up and made a new account because I had to say hello!

My name is Lisa and this will be our 5th Disney cruise. This trip will make us Gold Castaway Club members!

1. Nov 2004 - 7-Day Western Caribbean
2. Nov 2005 - 7-Day Eastern Caribbean
3. Feb 2008 - 3-Day Bahamas (Land & Sea package)
4. Aug 2008 - 15 Day Panama Canal Eastbound
5. Deb 2011 - Back Full Circle to the same cruise as #1!

Rooms we have stayed in on the Magic are 8554, 8044, 8042, 8556. So I guess you can tell which part of the ship we like!

We have 4 travelers in our family: me, my husband of 25 years, my 17 year old daughter and my 13 year old son. The kids keep growing older but they still love Disney! On our last Disney cruise, when my daughter first walked onto the ship and into the atrium, she said, "I feel like I'm home."

We didn't bother signing up for the FE because my kids are older, however, they are interested in getting to know some similarly-aged kids before the cruise, if possible. Last cruise my daughter was moved into the teen club and she didn't enjoy it because she was on the younger end of the teenagers (only 14 at the time) and most of the kids in the club were on the older end and wouldn't interact with her. It's too bad because both my kids loved the Oceaneer Club and Lab in earlier trips.

So if anyone has older kids who want to become pen-pals with mine before the trip, let me know!

We are on the same deck so im interested in hearing all the good stuff abt our deck- I hope!?-- my kids are little one so I cant help you there but I think there a few teens- just ck the FE list.....

I am worried that my collapsible rolling cooler will not be the right size to actually carry on any water, etc......I mean, how many bottles of ANYTHING can you fit in a standard 10x16x24 if it has wheels and a handle, too?
