February 16, 2008 - 7 night Eastern

Wow...I need this vacation to start!!! I will feel so much better once we leave. I am so stressed about the insane amount of luggage we have this time. I am usually a very good, and light, packer. BUT...with the addition of our sweet twins, Taylor and Bailey (8 months old), that went out the window. I had to pack for 2 adults and 5 kids. The baby supplies, alone, took one giant suitcase. I feel like I am dragging the entire world with us...and my house has been turned upside-down. Plus, I've had the headache of trying to put together wardrobes for everyone in the offseason. I am definately not back into all my prepregnacy clothes and the kids have outgrown a lot of their clothes. AHHHHH...I just want to be in Florida. Deep breath!

I'm not sure what I can ask of our servers in terms of pureed food. Also, even if they can supply it, I don't know if I want to feed the babies at the table. I figured I'd do that before dinner. Atleast most of the baby products will slowly disappear throughout the trip.

I'm not nervous about cruising with the babies. I am very nervous about running out of something that they need.

I'll feel sooooo much better when we pull out on Tueday.

Our cruise docs arrived yesterday, sending us into a packing mode.
:goodvibes Looks like we are in 1043, right next to snowwhite139 and tinkerbell4085:woohoo: Snowwhite has made our fishextender for us!! We'll see it tonight when we meet for dinner:goodvibes
Can't wait to get out of all this snow and wind!

Thanks for the information. Where do you live that you were in the Abington Target? We were there last Thursday but I didn't realize then that she didn't have clothes.

We are going to the Hanover Mall today to try JC Penney and Old Navy.

We are leaving on Thursday night for the same reason. Logan can be a nightmare and you never know if it's going to snow or not. We wouldn't want to miss the cruise.

We leave in 4 days:yay:

Live in Scituate, work in Stoughton. IF i want to get around the Rt3 traffic, I can cut through Raldolph, down 139 through Weymouth into Hingham.
DW was at JC Penny again tonight.

We just started to pack. We also have a DD 8 months old who started crawling around this week. She couldn't wait a couple of more weeks of immobility to keep down the moving parts(the kids). We also have DS8,DS5, and DS2. We've cruised before with the older three; However, I sympathize with you packing for two infants. We are trying also to keep down the number of bags. Good Luck.

We're leaving Thursday early am. We can't wait!!!! pirate:

You both deserve medals for taking 8 mos. olds on a cruise. There is so much involved in taking babies anywhere let alone out to sea.

Zero degrees here in Buffalo and getting colder. Can't wait for the cruise and warm weather.
Sandra, tinkerbell4085 - Carol got her room assignment- room 1041. Thanks for adding it to the post for us!
I hope the weather stays calm this week for all the flights into Orlando.
See everybody at the goofy pool! :)

Well, we couldn't hold it anymore. WE TOLD OUR DAUGHTER!!
Yeap! The "ski trip" is officially cancelled... I asked my father-in-law to be our partner in crime, I gave him the little book with the boarding passes and we all sat on the family room. I had the Disney cruise DVD ready to play, and once he gave a speech on how wonderful she had been doing in school and so on, he gave me the sign; I started playing the DVD. He gave her the book and she was so surprised that she could not stop crying!! She was laughing, as she cried, because she realized that she was overwhelmed and that she just couldn’t stop crying.
I thought I would share this happy moment with you; we all share the magic and the joy of being part of something so special: the Disney Magic experience. :wizard:
Now we can enjoy this anticipation together. We'll leave Somers on Thursday after school.
I'm still unclear on the fish extenders, I'm not sure what they are. I do remember the fish outside the doors, but
Anyway, we are very excited and can't wait!! :yay:
Only 6 days!

AlfreNY,

The fish extenders are "organizers" that hang from the fish clip outside your door. Some people put them up and then others can leave notes or surprises. We have a small group participating see post #294 on Page 20. Also you can go to this thread for ideas or information.

Hey All!

Repacked for the second time tonight.... still need to figure out work out cloths, pjs and sundries. I have written down what clothes, which days including shoes and jewelry (tip from Andrea). I am packing one extra pant and two extra shirts -- in case of inclement weight change or want to wear something different. Looks like I will be packing a carry on after all. Was hoping to get it all in one bag. It is mostly all the room extras that are taking up space.

FWIW: I am 43, one length, long (dyed) brown hair and will be wearing light khaki pants, white shirt and light blue denim jacket w/Mickey necklace. I will be with a shoulder length haired blonde (40) and (I think) curly haired woman (reddish) (also 40). Last time I saw Andrea was 5/5/05 for the Disneyland 50th kick-off so I am not exactly sure what she looks like today. We plan to be one of the first buses to port and will be meeting the pubmaster at 1PM (even though none of us drink). If we do not see you before hand, we will be by Goofy's pool at 3PM (which side, and are we the same deck or above it).

Counting the minutes until we meet.

Renée (Room 2080)

It started snowing this afternoon and the kids were sent home from school early. They are predicting snow through the night and sleet and ice in the a.m. This probably means a snow day for the kids, tomorrow and the start of their vacation since we are leaving Thursday morning for Florida. Unfortunately, we have to work and getting there will be a pain.

I am looking forward to when the mention of snow means Snow White!!!

We'll be in warmer weather soon!! pirate:

Your money assortment sounds fine. Guest Services can always provide change if needed.

No school today....do you think DD packed as I requested? Who am I kidding, she's 17! (as of yesterday) Weather is totally awful. And...the mall called, my dress is in. It can wait till tomorrow (they requested a different size from another store).

On the good side, I am almost packed, and almost thru my "before we leave" list. DD approved the fish extender "Whatever that is, it's cute."

see you real soon!

Hi! Sure is good to have power again! We have been without power for over 24 hours here in Pennsylvania. It sure gets cold inside, too. The redeeming point is that we do have a fireplace. Sitting at the pool in the sun sounds so good, and we'll be doing that soon! See you at the goofy pool Saturday!:goodvibes
We're part way packed.
Carol

ALL RIGHT!!!! WHO SENT THE BAD WEATHER MY WAY?

We really need this front to move back up north. I got rain all day yesterday, but nothing like Pt Canaveral or Cocoa Bch.

My company is taking all the local employees to Universal Studios on Friday. While it's not Disney, it's not work either, so no complaints here.

Durango Kid

We have 4" of wet heavy snow followed by 2" of freezing rain with flood watches and temperatures just above freezing. So a little rain doesn't sound that bad to me.

We'll be in the Orlando area on Friday but haven't made any particular plans for the day. Just dinner with family.

We leave in less than 30 hours:cool1:

See you all soon at the Goofy pool, if not earlier.

Renee we will also be at the Pub right after lunch. We really enjoy going there, there is always something fun going on. Have you played ring the bull yet? And the guacamole is incredible every afternoon at 5pm.:)

Hi Sandra,

Yucky weather!!! I hope you have no flight issues because of it. San Diego is starting to have morning dense fog again. No flight delays today... so I am hoping Friday is nice and sunny. My flight doesn't leave until 11:05, so it should be burned off by then (usually by 9). It would be just any back-up at the airport by then.

I have never played "ring the bull". You'll have to show me. I will keep my eyes open for you (even though I have no idea what you look like... :rotfl2: ) I will probably be the hyper one so I should be easy to spot. I will have to try the guacamole when I am on board. Right now I am having visions of Pluto's hot dogs with lots of mustard.

Can't wait to meet everyone. Safe travelling!

For me it's the Pluto's french fries with lots of ketchup. Wonderful!!!!!

The weather for Thursday night when we fly is supposed to be great. Clear and 40 degrees.

I'll just call out "Renee" when we get to the pub. We just have to have lunch and get the kids settled.

DD15 informed me last night that he plans to stay out until 3am every night. NOT:rotfl: :rotfl2:

Well, I have to go clean the house before I pack. I just can't come home to a messy house. It's depressing enough leaving the cruise and going back to school (where I work) without having to clean the house too.

See you all soon, we're praying for safe travel for everyone.

Here in Somers, NY, We also had about 3-4" of snow last night that changed into Sleet and freezing rain. Now, it is just pouring. The kids were upset that it was only a 2 hour delay for school

On the brighter side, it is a good thing we weren't leaving this morning because they cancelled the Jetblue Orlando flight. We will be in Florida this time tomorrow. A few more finishing touches for packing. A few items haven't arrived in the mail for pirate's night. Hopefully, they'll be at home tonight.

See y'all soon.

I miss that San Diego weather, I lived in La Jolla for 5 years during college. It is one of the most idealic places to live in the world. I would love to retire there in the future. We'll see where the kids end up!!!

The car is packed and ready to go!!! It definitely has become a tight squeeze with the addition of my daughter. I am sure in the future she'll need the extra bag for clothes but at 8 months it is all filled with diapers, baby food and formula. I can't believe I do not have to work tomorrow. Everybody travel safely. We'll see you on Saturday!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

For all of you leaving this morning, have a safe trip, today's high will be about 68 degrees, I will see you onboard.:cool1: :cool1:
