I am new to this thread. I am going on the Disney Dream Cruise on Feb 14th. How do I get involved in the fish extenders? It sounds like fun.

Hi! Welcome to the thread! I believe the sealskins to join the FE was the 15th. The reason being, time to make things for the groups crafty members! If I am mistaken, I'm sure someone will correct me. Please still feel free to jump in on the groups other conversations though. There was mention of a meet on board as well.

Sorry, the deadline was the 15th. Not just because crafting but also buying. We, for example only have 2 spares

Amy and I are in less than a two weeks until WDW and 2 weeks and 2 days for DCL! Getting the final touches ready. Got our mat and markers for signing. Got to get our magnet paper and start printing those up.

We just got back from Mardi Gras so we need the next two weeks to recover before the cruise. Five days in NOLA will leave you a bit tired so we are looking forward to the slower (relatively) pace of that week.

Just sent out an updated list. Tried to get everyone's name and cabins on it. I know I am missing at least one person's email.

If you are part of the FE and did not receive the list please email/PM me.

There have several changes. I've added cabin numbers, names. updated cabin numbers and removed the one group who asked to join but has not responded since or posted.

My in-laws will be joining us but since it was only confirmed yesterday. Not enough time to add them but don't be surprised when their names are on the FE.

We head out a week from Sunday, stay at the airport hotel that night, get picked up by our in-laws the next morning to head to WDW (probably Epcot and Hollywood) Monday and Tuesday (Magic Kingdom). Then Sea World Wednesday. Then onto the ship. Can't start any earlier as it is Reserve Military weekend for me.

I don't know if you folks have thought of it but last time we brought one of these for each of us -

Great to go up to the soda machines, fill up and carry around. Much better than the small cups at the machine.

We start printing our magnets this weekend. Sorting our clothes. Making a new FE to include our in-laws (they're great) and get our FE gifts mailed to them so they will be waiting for us..

I didn't get the updated list yet.

Also, when using those cups, you have to use the small cups to fill them. You can't put your own cup under the drink dispensers.

You can make ice cream floats as well, since the ice cream station is a short walk from the drink station. We do this all the time.

Getting so excited for our trip!! just curious what ages are some of your kiddos? (obviously I am not doing fe this trip) i will have my 16 year old dd and nearly 11 year old dd. My oldest is pretty shy and last year she didnt spend much time in the Vibe. My youngest also thought a lot of activities were for younger kids in her club but did spend some time there.

Woke up this morning to some snow and started to do the happy dance that our trip is right around the corner!

Welcome to the group. I ditched my 12yo and took my two little girls. I am thinking I might take him on the Magic Feb 14th 2014 for a 3 day cruise. We are planning to go to Alaska summer 2014 and if he gets sick, I'm ditching him again. He is my motion sickness child.

Amy has a patch with her this time. Last time the weather was really bad (coming from an 18 Navy vet) and the pilot was doing some wacky stuff when we couldn't pull into port to waste time. A lot of people were "off" that cruise.

She is hoping to not use it but the patch works even after symptoms appear. Some motion sickness don't. Either you take them ahead of time (and deal with the side effects) or you suffer. Down side of the patch is it takes 4 hours for effect.

You're right. I never make floats, either. I just enjoy the larger cup of ice cream. The kids make floats.

I always take ginger pills when traveling, cruise or otherwise. They're good for motion sickness and help with digestion. I've heard reports that some people can't take them, but I haven't had problems myself.

Thank you for the motion sickness help. It seems to be mainly in the car, however, he has never been on a cruise. So I want to test him.

My mom was on the Queen Anne headed to England when she was 11/12? Her sister was extremely sick and my mom is still bitter that they both were given shots. I'm not sure that they do that now, 50 years later, but I think my son would opt for the patch or ginger pills. I packed Dramamine in case my daughter and I were sick on the first cruise. We never needed it and the waters were a little rough. We both had cruise head when we got off for a few days after.
