OK, I know I said I wasn't going to post here but I just had to update you all. I'm officially matched with a new couple! I talked to them tonight on the phone and they sound like very lovely people. They're planning on coming to MN on April 1st to meet us. All of the sudden this seems like it's happening so fast. I really didn't expect them to come out here so soon but I'm thrilled that they are.

::: peeking in the door :::: Is anyone in here??? I'm not sure if anyone from our cruise is still checking out this thread but I just thought I'd pop in and say hi. So.... HI!!!!

On a personal note, I thought I'd give a quick update as to what is going on in my life. The couple from NY was very nice but I felt they were a little stand offish. So we got ahold of their last surro mom to ask about their personality. Turns out she didn't even know they were going to be trying for a sibling and she really wanted to help them again. The couple didn't realize that she would do it again for them. So the end of the story is that they are now going to work together again. I'm 100% OK with this because I know their lack of communication would have driven me crazy. I was really hoping to be rematched by now but I'm still waiting for the right couple to come along. Hopefully soon because I'm losing patience!

On the job front, I only have 3 more meals to cook at the school and then I'm done there FOREVER! I just got the call Tuesday that I was hired at a store that's opening at the Mall of America. It's called Mix It Up Meals. You go in there and prepare the main course of your meal for 8-14 meals. I will be one of the people that shows you how the work stations work. I was hired as one of the lead people so it's pretty good money and I get 12 free meals a month. I'm super excited because I think it will be lots of fun.

Joe and the girls are doing well. I think the girls can't wait until school is out next week. Then they can just be lazy all summer long.

So that's the update on us. Hopefully someone is still checking out this thread so I didn't just type all this out for nothing. LOL I still miss all of you very much.

Hey Jen (and anyone else out there),

I 'm still here. My sister in law, who went on the cruise with us, and I were just wondering how things were going for you. Were your ears burning?

The store you will be working at sounds like a neat concept.
Do you make your meals in batch ahead of time and then eat them throughout the week? That would really work for a lot of families, stay at home moms as well as work outside the home folks. I think it was on the news here recently. You'll have to let me know how you like it.

Your kids are out of school next week? Mine go until June 16th, then start back at the end of Aug. Seems like a short summer to me, but I'm sure come Aug, I'll appreciate it.

We still talk about what a great time we had on the cruise and how it worked out better than anticipated.

Are you thinking of cruising next yr?
We are planning on going to Universal and WDW with SIL,BIL and DNiece and DNephew who were on the cruise. Would like to stay at the Hard Rock.
Actually, would like to go on a cruise again - who am I kidding?

The way the meals would work is that you would freeze the meals and just thaw and cook them when you need them. I think it's a great way to have a nice meal when you maybe don't have lots of time. The company I'll be working for already has 2 stores and they're doing very well so I hope this concept will work at the Mall of America.

The girls are done with school next Friday. I'm so glad that we've made it though the year! LOL Kaela might take some kind of a dance class this summer and Beth is playing softball so hopefully they won't be too bored.

It'll be awhile before we're on a cruise again. Although I'd love to go on one right now. I'm really jealous of all the people onboard the Magic. I would have LOVED to have been on that Panama Canal cruise. Oh well, someday I'll get to do it. Part of the reason that it'll be awhile before we can cruise again is because the agency that I'm with for surrogacy has set some new rules. Once you're pregnant you can no longer leave the country. They had to do this because there have been some really bad situations where girls have traveled pregnant and went into preterm labor in countries where surrogacy is illegal. Oh well, I'll get to go eventually. Mark and Laura and Bill and Julia are still planning on going on the RCCL cruise in early Feb. and I'm pea green with envy.

Wow, I would have never thought of all the rules....makes sense though.
I would love to go on the "double dip" cruises, where they stop at CC twice.
That's my idea of a piece of paradise.

Matt is playing baseball, roller hockey, speed roller skating and taking swim lessons for a few weeks more. Then just baseball and swimming.
Megan dance recital is in a few weeks. She may take a summer dance class for a few weeks. She also takes swim lessons. So, it should be a good combo of free time and some scheduled activities.

That is unless we move.....we may move over the summer. Still in MI, just a few hrs north west of here. We should know in the next few weeks about the move.

Hey Hey, Jen, and anyone still monitoring this site. I am sorry to hear about htat couple. The new job sounds great I hope they come this way...!!! We are thinking about Disney World in October, my aunt wanted to do that when we went on the cruise but I did not want to do that all together. I think a cruise will probably be awhile since my kids are still young. We may do Universal too. My friend that I was telling you about with the egg donor, just got planted two weeks ago, she will know this weekend if it took, I hope so. I did tell her about you, she can carry, she just can't use her eggs. Hope all is well, school is over next week, thank God!!!

That would be great except that since I knew I wasn't going on a cruise, we spent the money on new carpet. And can I just take a moment to say how much I love my new carpet? Now I need to win the lottery so I can go on that cruise with you!
