Between my black circles, pasty skin, and the nervous twitch I've developed everyone should be able to spot me. Too bad they haven't invented a computer monitor that gives off a tan. I'd be set!

Did I mention that we schedule to have the inside of our house painted while we're on vacation. We did this because the paint smell will bother us. Hopefully the smell will be gone when we get back. One more day, WOW are we looking forward to this vaca. See everyone soon

That’s such a coincidence. I’m having the living room and large bath painted while we are gone. It’s not the smell, it’s the work that bothers me. I’ve always done all the painting myself and I’m sooo over it. I just want to come home and have it done.

As of today...12 cabins left. I am going to be very optimistic! Its gonna happen, Its gonna happen!!!!

So, the plan for us now is that Mom and I are going to fly to Jacksonville Friday morning (the flights are wide open, an important fact when you are non-reving!) We are going to get the car and drive up to Savannah! Mom has always wanted to go there to see the Juliette Lowe house as she has volunteered with Girl Scouts for as long as I can remember. I am excited because I once read this book called "Midnight In The Garden of Good and Evil"...

We will then head back to the JAX airport and pick up Sis and Brother in Law and drive down to the port. We are staying at the Holiday Inn Express because BIL had alot of points and so its going to be free...I like free.

Now, here is where this gets more fun. Originally, I was going to drive down to the ship to be there at 730 when the cast can first leave to grab Ashley and then we all were going to have Breakfast together. Well, tonight Ash says she may not meet us because it is so-and-sos last day on board. Mother was on the phone with her tonight when she tells us this....no big deal she thinks, then says "Who is so-and-so?"

"My BOYFRIEND, Mom!"

Ummmm....

Well, we have never heard this little bit of news before. Not that we care, but that was NOT the answer expected!! HAHA Cue the Love Boat music...
ANYWAY! So, we now have our instructions on what to do once we arrive at the terminal. (Keep your bags even though they try to take them...go to guest services...) If you see two lost people with luggage around, THATS US!

Of course we haven't packed a thing...no idea about any shore excursions...we are gonna do it by the seat of our pants! But I will be on board!!

Gotta love free. I used to work for an airline too and I remember the perils..and joys of non-reving. As you know, sometimes these unplanned, crazy trips end up being the best ever.

Enjoy yourself in Savannah. It is a very cool city full of lots of very interesting history. I too read In the Garden... (great book) and it really enhanced my visit--you'll have a great time.

So I just got a call from Castaway Cay!

The bad news is that now that Ashley knows how to use this ship-to-shore phone service, its become her new best friend and she could only be spending a small fortune..

The good news is that someone at DCL has decided to grant us our cast rate and guarantee us a room!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, now I should be soon receiving a reservation code that I have to go to the DCL website and enter to get all kind of stuff done. I don't know how they plan on having my documents here in less than a week, though.

Once I know more, I will post! I may actually have a room number soon!!!

I'm going with one nice pair of black pants and a different top for each night. Gown for formal night and skirt for semi-formal night. Wearing jeans and tennis shoes to the port. 2 bathing suits and 4 pairs of shorts/capris. I'm going with long sleeve just because I get cold easy. I've never been cold in the shows or in the dining room but I'm paranoid. My tops are blouses not sweaters.

See--You can always count on that "Disney Magic"!!!--okay-sorry about the pun--couldn't resist--It seems I too am a little slap happy from lack of sleep and an overabundance of enthusiasm! Stayed up 'til 2:00 making a Peter Pan Costume for DD (7)! Did I mention--I don't sew! I'm pretty sure I have lost all grasp on reality!!

We booked late on our last cruise--too late for them to send us our docs. We just picked them up at the terminal. We even had DCL transportation and it all worked out. They even got our bags at the airport correctly with only our airline luggage tags. They really have this down to a science.

Hey guys--you really need to get some sleep beforehand or else with these cushy new beds and fine new linens they have on board, you'll end up sleeping the cruise away!!!

I read Sheryl's suggestion to do this earlier and I thought it was a great idea, so I'm copying it. A pair of nice black pants, a long dress for formal night, a black skirt for semi-formal night and our dinners in Palo. Lots of mix and match tops. I'm also only bringing a couple of pairs of capris and one pair of shorts. Last cruise I lived in my favourite pair of shorts. Had two other pair I never even looked at.
