February 1, 2013- 4 night Magic from Galveston

I was just starting my cruise check in online and noticed that we will not have a cruise "formal" night. Did anyone else see that? I don't mind at all but was surprised to see it. Sherry

The shorter cruises just have a dress up night instead of a formal night. We had that on our 4 night Bahama back in 2009. A lot of people really dress up to the best of my memory.

Our youngest son turns 13 a few days before we sail! We are bringing him, as well as our two grown kids (21 and 19), and my parents. I will have a birthday onboard and my parents will celebrate their 47th anniversary two days after!

We are first timers on Disney, but would love to participate in the FE exchange. This is our group:

We are in room 8090! Grandparents are with us in room 8092! We will be using one fish extender outside our room! Grandparents are Rick and Debbie with same last name! I am getting super excited and hope I can keep it a secret till we leave! It is going to be hard but so worth it in the end!

Not sure if anyone is planning on bringing candy or food for the FE, but Brendan, my eight year old is allergic to eggs, peanuts and tree nuts. Are there any other kids or adults with food allergies in our group? I still haven't decided what we're bringing!! I better make up my mind soon and get to work ! --Katie

My Kayleigh is allergic to peanuts too!

Sorry-Hunter is turning 22 the week after the cruise, and Tate turns 13 a few days before the cruise. I will actually be turning 46 during the cruise. I was born two days before my parents' first anniversary, so they will celebrate their 47th on the cruise!

We are. We didn't book until December 12. I wonder if that's why we haven't gotten ours yet . Or maybe they're planning on upgrading us to concierge ! --Katie

We just booked last week so I think it will be awhile before we get ours. I have been filling out our info on our link online, so I am not too worried about getting cruise docs anytime soon. I will panic in about two weeks. Sherry

It's coming up, guys!!! Anyone else surprising their kids on Christmas? I'm hoping to pack some personalized t-shirts in a box and let them open them . My boys are both home sick with strep right now, though, so I can't do any secret planning at this moment! --Katie

We are bringing my parents and our three kids. We actually surprised my mom on Christmas morning! Everyone else knew. She was thrilled!!

What a great surprise for your mom. We gave our oldest grandkids a cruise for Christmas. We are bringing the girls this one and will look for one for the two oldest boys some other time this spring. It really helps living in Houston and not having to pay airfare or hotels or taxis to get on a cruise.

We are going to try and cruise the Disney Magic as much as we can while she is in Houston because it looks like she won't be in Galveston next year. Sherry

We just booked this with the KSF. We are so excited. It will be DS (13) Rob, DH (Ben) and myself (Fran). This will be our 4th DCL cruise. We have had our summer cruise on the Fantasy booked since booking window opened and that will be our 5th and then we make gold.

We have done several cruises on other lines out of Galveston.

I will try to help if anyone have any questions.

Everyone have a blast with the FEs. They are a lot of fun. We have done it in the past but will pass this time.

We have used the Galveston Port parking several times. They have a shuttle that will bring to/from you vehicle. There can be a little bit of a wait for the shuttle. Other than that, it is good.

We also like Galveston Park N Cruise but they are showing sold out for this cruise.

I do remember seeing the shuttle for Lighthouse parking but have not used personally.
