February '09 Wonder Cruise meet!

My idea is to meet at the Mickey -or- Goofy pool at 3:00~3:15. This should give us enough time before the safety drill, correct?

My next idea is to set up what I'm calling "DIS meet & drink." Since Feb. 24th is Mardi Gras I was thinking of setting up a time for us to all meet in Diversions, say 10:00~10:30 for a drink or two?

Meet 'n Greet....by Mickey Pool is perfect......don't forget to display your lime green mickey head so I can find you!!!

As for drinking....count me in! After all this planning I need a day of celebration! Is that 10:00am??? Cause I would be fine with that too...LOL....But 10:00p would be good too....I want to do some drinking and dancing and mingling!

Both work for me! Might be closer to 10:30 for me on the 24th but I'll be there!! I like the idea of trying to meet on the first day so we can periodically run into a friendly face during the rest of our cruise.

I'm actually making magnets for our door right now! I finally feel like I'm making progress on my massive 'to do' list. I'm no where near going to catch up to all you 'over achieving way early packers' but I feel better knowing my door won't be naked!

YAY!!! Okay...these are the family survival kits..kinda....we have our dry erase boards, sharpies, handy wipes, magnetic clips, suction cup hooks, highlighters, glow bracelets and an extra underwater camera.

These are the back packs with our iron ons. They include handy wipes, an extra underwater camera, first aid kit and some misc. pirate stuff and travel ziplock bags.

For the help with posting pics!

Okay, I managed to finish up AND print out 4 door magnets this morning.
Then I had to take DD to her Girl Scout party.
The whole troop decided to head to McD's afterwards.
And now I am finally home where I can relax.
I'm fighting off a sinus headache that wants to fight back REALLY BAD. But I am determined to win the battle!

DH showed me a little more in Photoshop today. So I think I can finish up the magnets.

Then I think I will chill and get more layouts done. Hopefully I can get rid of this headache and start fresh tomorrow with packing up the kiddies.

I LOVE the idea for both Dismeets! I will ink them in to our itineraries!

time - 3:00 p.m.
location - Mickey pool

Mardi Gras on the High Seas celebration:
Tuesday, Feb. 24 ~ Castaway Cay day
time - 10:30 p.m.
location - WaveBands
*feel free to wear your favorite Mardi Gras party attire!

I'll make a note of the meets. Hopefully, we can make the first one. Our bus isn't leaving BWV until 12:45. So, does that put us at the port about 1:45? Anyone know if we check in at the hotel or at the port? Then we have to hit the buffet and stop at the room. Hope we can get there!

What night is Pirate night? I thought I read somewhere that it was on Castaway Cay night (or maybe that was on a 3 night cruise). If it's not pirate night, I'll plan to join you to toast Mardi Gras!

Did some more damage.....ended up at Walmart and found boy shorts for my teenager for $3....and for my 19 yo....$5 shorts....

Now lets all hope the weather warms up in Floriday....I need to get my moneys worth!!!

I'm pretty sure pirate night is the night of Castaway Cay...Wendy can verify, but I don't know the timing on things. That's why I have a good friend like Wendy...to fill me in on stuff like this.

You know, I thought about Pirate's Night being the same night as Castaway Cay day...so I looked it up in my Passporter, and it says it's the second to last night on the ship - which would be Tuesday night for us.

So, should we change our Mardi Gras event to Wednesday night? Will this be too much trouble with trying to get bags packed and set out by 11:00?

What will work best for everyone?

Hey Cruisin' Buddies!

We've been pretty quiet on our thread. I hope that means you haven't all been packing and are finished because I have barely started!!!

Slow progress is being made- I have lots of lists going but with the closest mall over an hour away- most of our shopping is done via mail. I'm just waiting for the last round of purchases for DD to be sure she is outfitted with clothes that fit her.

Are we set on our FE numbers?

With our weather being stuck in the single digits (again) and more snow (8-12 inches) expected tomorrow...I'm soooo ready for our cruise!

Good Morning, Liz!

You and I are in the same boat - pun intended! Our nearest mall is an hour's drive as well. The UPS man makes frequent visits to our home too.

I'll finish up the last of our purchases this week. I still need to order a FE and gifts, a few misc. clothes for me, and possibly a new swimsuit.

Also, I need to book the hotel room for the night before the cruise, and the rental car for before and after.

We're STILL at GTY status. Anyone else still stuck in GTY limbo too?
