Okay, it is after the holidays.....I promised DH I would wait until after Christmas to continue my obsessive cruise planning.....just booked our Limo/Towncar....I am off to Walmart and the $ store today....pre packing has begun!!

We still need to find a time and place for our first meet on the ship....anyone have any ideas of a good time????

On our last cruise the DIS group met in the atrium by the the Captain Mickey statue about an hour before the lifeboat drill which is at 4:00 P.M. I posted a picture of our meeting a page or two ago.

Hi all -

I haven't posted since way back when. We were unsure if we were going to be able to cruise b/c of dh's job. However, we're in, we're in!!

We told the kids (DD 7, DH 4) at Christmas - it was met with an underwhelming response. I don't think they got it. However, I've spent the morning on the board with them looking at the pictures of the day and reading the activities from the Oceaneer Club. Now they're so excited that they want to leave today! Ummm...I'd better get cleaned up from Christmas so I can get us ready in time!

Looking forward to meeting you all soon! We'll be cruising before we know it!

Same here, underwhelmed, and they had been asking for a Disney cruise FOREVER! DD5 thought we weren't going until DS turns 5, in 18 months. Poor thing, TG for that Planning video. She's very excited now!

I'm all packed! Actually I cheated, we just got off a western carribean cruise, so I just washed everything and put it back into the suitcase!
Can't wait to see the Magic!!!!!
So what is everyone planning on doing for excursions?

Okay....stuff isn't actually in suitcases yet (santa brought us a great set of Mickey Luggage!!) But the bins and piles are getting organized! I am anxious to see what the weather will hold once it gets closer!!

After all this waiting...I can't believe it is so close! I actually gave everyone at work their duties while I'm gone and talked about the cruise our whole staff meeting! They think I am nuts.......and so do I!!

Any guesses as to when our docs will arrive? I leave for WDW Jan11 for a warmup , and I hope I have the docs by then.

I started my packing yesterday, but I'm afraid I have way too much stuff. I must go through everything to weed out some things.

I'm in for 3p in front of the mickey statue. Is anybody up for getting green wrist bands so we can recognize each other during the cruise and around the ship?

Does anybody have a DS that is 6 or 7? My DS6 would be really excited to email and make friends prior to getting on the ship.

I was also thinking about ordering a present for my son for the room. Anybody with any great ideas of what or who to order from?

Well I decided to cancel the dolphin encounter for me and my son. For that kind of money I wold rather go to Discovery Cove with the whole family!!
I went on line nothing else was available to book. Do they hold some back for when you arrive at the boat? Even the spa was pretty full! Oh well Jacob and I can spend the day at the beach!

After a quick check of other threads, we should expect our docs to start arriving around January 15th.

I have a lime green DIS tee shirt that I intend to wear when I board the ship.

I got bucket hats for our Thread group on our last cruise. They were about $8 a piece. I can post a picture if anyone is interested.

I like the wrist band idea! I know someone was talking about it way back on the thread. Does anyone know how to order them? I think you can get a few words or the date on them?

I would so get us some wristbands or even t-shirts. I can hardly stand the excitement!!! I almost slipped in front of my son today!!! 34 days till we fly out!!!!

I went on line and searched out silicone wristbands today and found a place that will do them without a minimum order. The web site is www.24hourwristbands.com I ordered ours in green with Disney Magic 2/3/07 on them. They even have Disney font. The price wans't too bad either. I got 6 adult and 1 child band with shipping for 25 dollars. So we will sporting the DIS Green. Hope others will join us.

We are also very in for the meet in front of the Mickey Statue at 3pm.
