I think there was another post with limited responses...but

Is anyone arranging a photopass share for Feb. I have no idea how it works but would love to take part if someone plans to organize one. We will be there Feb. 13-21.

I would be in for it too. I don't have a burner so I can't lead it. But that's two already if someone else wants to jump in!:thumbsup2

I'll be there the 14th through the 20th, so about the same timeframe as the OP.

Anyone?:hourglass

I'll be there Feb 16-20. I have no idea how this works, though. But if it saves me some money, I'm in.

I would be interedsted too. We will be at DLR 2/22-2/26. I have been in a share but I didn't organize it.

Hmmm, , I guess I should look to see what running a photopass entails. I think there is info. on here somewhere.

Looks like the cost of the cd with tax is $66.95 (posted by another member). It we each paid $20 that would give me $13 for shipping and blank cd's. I'm in Canada so would need to look into the cost of shipping but I think it's cheaper to ship to the US than within Canada for some reason. This seems way cheaper that buying individual prints at the park.

It looks like we are all there around the same time. I could open the account on the 22nd when I get home as I believe you need a photopass card to open an account. Some groups schedule precise days for people to upload. This would help in getting each members pictures together on the disk. I thought it would be nice to burn each families pics on a disk as opposed to everyone's pics - depending how difficult this will be.

I would need to see if my paypal account is up and running if that is the preferred means of payment. Sound good? Any thoughts or questions?

I believe this is what we thought would happen on the last share I was in on. But, all the photos were reorganized on the pass according to the day the pic's were taken. So, the organizer went through and seperated on cd's according to families. The gal who was in charge of the pass even called photopass and they stated there is no way to reorganzie, it's done automatically.

I believe once the first person enters in their photopass the 30 day time clock starts running.

This is so true. The photos are arranged in date taken order so if you are there on the same days your pictures will be interspersed with the others. Also they are arranged by time taken as well. I foudn this out last Fall when I ran a small WDW one (only 3 families) At first all the pix were in uploaded date order, then they switched to date taken order. One interesting thing to note is that some shares have reported that they get all of the pictures on all of the CDs. Others just get theirs. It's totally up to the organizer how they want to handle it. I sent my families only their pictures.

Some shares also give you limited time frames to do your uploads and enhancing. But in reality since the photos are organized by date taken it doesn't matter when you upload/edit as long as it's within the 30 day window.

FYI I have a small share group I am doing but it's for the first of Feb. only. Need to order by 2-7.

It sounds good to me. Paypal works the best for me.

and princessnicchia if she is still interested

If we have 4 families I say we go ahead. As long as there is not hundreds and hundreds of pics I can probably put family pics onto indiv. cd's. If the computer system rearranges the pictures then people could add and modify their pictures at any time.

Silly question, but how will I know what family pics go to who? Would each of you send me an email with a quick description of who is attending with you (I.e. parents with 2 kids)?? I am so new to this.

I will make sure my paypal is up and running (It was broken into so I cancelled my credit card but have not added my new credit card number to my paypal account). I still have a photopass account from last time so will let you know when all is good to go ahead in the next week.
Thanks

I am considering getting on board still trying to educate myself on how this works.....i'll be there feb 25-27

The last share I was in we just emailed the person organizing the share and let her know what we were all wearing on the first day we were in the park. We also needed to let her know what was the first day we were in the park. We should most likely PM the organizor all of our email addresses and continue this discussion through email??

mrsmeyer... let me know if you have any questions. If you search disney photopass you can see what you can do with your photopass pictures. We didn't know anything about the photopass system on our last trip but did use it when we wanted a family picture with pluto. We paid a lot for the few 5X7's we ordered but we spent 3 days tracking him down as each time we found him he was ready to leave. Anyways, let me know if you have any questions.

Hi everyone
I would like to get everything confirmed and get things started this week so everything will be set up once we return from our vacations.

The cost of the cd is 59.95 plus $17 shipping to Canada. Postage to the U.S. is $2.50 in a regular paper envelope. If you prefer a bubble pack envelope it would be an extra $2.50 for the envelope.

Correction: 59.95 plus 17 shipping / 5 = 15.39 plus 2.50 postage to USA = a grand total of 17.89. Sorry for any confusion :(

There is a total of 5 in the photopass share. There was one other poster in the thread but it was information sharing.

Would you like to join mrsmeyer? Once I get your confirmation I will PM everyone my paypal account information. I will also need a quick description from everyone (except princessnicchia) as to who will be in their party so I know how to divide the photos). After payment you can PM me this info. Sorry for the the multiple confirmations but I want to make sure everyone is in before I start receiving payments as payment would change if people decide to drop out.
