I am trying to plan a suprise trip for our daughters next year. I am trying to decide which is better - mid to end of February or March? I'm mostly looking at weather and crowds. I think prices are better February - except Presidnt's weekend - which is NOT when we will be going. Any help is appreciated. TIA

We've been in early Feb and it was great. March begins the Spring break crowds.

I think from about Feb 15 on is Peak season and higher rates. If you can go early Feb, that would be most likely better for price and crowds. We are going in 8 days, so I'll let you know how early March is. I think most go on spring break the week after I go, but there is still alot of colleges on Spring break next week too. I've been told most college students head for the beaches rather than Disney, but I am still leery on that one.

Easter is in March next year so those crowds will knock out two weeks of March.

I personally would pick March - you can work around Easter. Seems like the weather would be more predictable. Feb this year seemed rathar cold - not sure if that is normal for Florida or not. My sister went last March and she said it was great - not crowded. Have fun whenever you go.

We've gone in March the last few years, the first weekend through the second weekend. It's a great time to go. The weather, for the most part is beautiful...especially for a Chicago girl, like me! The big crowds don't usually start until the following week...in fact, when we are going home you can really see the masses coming through the airport. The crowds at the park are perfect. We've also gone in early December, and I felt that early March was better overall. Weather, people, etc. My cousin and her family just went last week, and they had pretty undesirable weather, also.

So, my vote is for March!:thumbsup2
