Feb. Member Event at Doorway to Dreams (Updated p.11 with incentives)

Well, we are just looking for a Disney fix....a free one! lol

We had alot of fun back in Aug at the last event, seems like the incentives were better (cant recall) but DH was doing that old sratching the head thing..(considering adding on) lol.we didnt...and thats ok, but DD2 had a blast!!
Besides, if/when we do add on, he prefers AKV anyway!

Will anyone be going to the Non-Member events on Saturday? We RSVP'd for Sunday, but it's a 1.5 hour drive for us, and we're not sure if we want to go if the offers aren't that hot.

We went last nite and it was fun. I was so impressed on how the characters interacted with the kids (and adults), no lines or hurrying. I was disappointed in the incentives but we did go ahead and add 25 pts to our BLT contract.

I would have to agree.. We were there tonight I tried to get the ipod hooked up to the internet but it was a no go.. no WIFI We drove 2 hrs to have a cruise offered to us.. and some mary poppins tix.. Which I would have to drive another 2 - 21/2 hrs to go see. Ap would have been awesome or something disney.. Which when they took the survive from us everyone mostly answered they go to disney! Well then heck give us the disney incentive! At least last year we got ap and dp! not very happy!! But my daughter loved mickey so that part was worth it!!

I agree so much. If I was interested in having these exchanges shoved down my throat, I would have bought into another timeshare...Marriott, RCI.whatever. We bought DVC for DISNEY! Period!!! We won't be adding on right now and we were planning to do so! At least your daughter had a wonderful time!

1. For small add-ons (below 100) is the price still $107.00 per???
2. What is the use of buying 25 points at BLT, just asking.

DH is pretty happy with the incentives. We wanted to add on 250 points regardless of whether or not there were incentives so the free 7 night cruise (that is the general offering right now) was making us happy enough. It's nice to get the bonus of a free 2BR exchange and 4 Mary Poppins tix with this special event.

We go tomorrow at 10am. Only problem is DH has the flu and I have bronchitis. We are usually never sick! Why now? I hope if we're too sick, that we can call a guide and get this offer considering we were going to go to this event. I guess we'll see. I hope it doesn't come down to that.

Does anyone know more details about the incentives?

What's the timeframe the exchange has to be used?

Is it a DVC resort that is deposited for these exchanges? That usually affects what you can exchange for ( a better resort like DVC should get some good trades.)

If it is a DVC resort that is deposited for the exchange, does that mean you can't exchange for another Florida resort? I think there's usually some kind of rule like that.
(We're more familiar with II exchanges--RCI is new to us.)

I know somewhere there are details about the cruise dates and upgrade fees for those of us with families of 5 or more. I'll have to find that.

The benefit lies in transferring points from another contract you have to get home resort booking advantage at BLT.

Sorry, I don't know where my head was this morning. You are correct, the 11th booking window still applies for the transferred points. Sorry, everyone!

I'm sure that's right. With banking and borrowing you could use 75 points at a time theoretically at the 11 month window--but not points from other resorts. Right?

woooohooooo LAST night sealed the deal for me to book a couple days in june!! my daughter had so much fun seeing mickey that my dh told me to check what was avalible for end of may beginning of june.. june 2-7 I got boardwalk 1 bedroom boardwalk view.. What luck!! I am soo happy now I have to find cheap airfare!! any ideas!! flying from milwaukee!
