Hello! So, we went to DL/DCA for two weeks this past April (see thread here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3136066 )

However, we need to go again! This time we are planning on 7 days at The Peacock Suites and an additional 2 nights at The Grand Californian.

My question is when should we go for low crowds (well, not super busy at least ;) We are thinking late Feb or early March before Spring break kicks in.

We would like to have the Haunted Mansion up and running and back to normal. I know it's too busy to know about closures.

I read on another thread about a mid-winter break around Feb 18-21 - should we go after that week?

What's your opinion? When should we go?

Another possibility is April 19th thru the 28th. Better dates? Pretty sure we avoid Spring Break and more rides should be up?

Spring Dapper Day :thumbsup2

I'm there Wed 25th Feb - Monday 2nd March.

So thurs-Sun could be in the 2 parks, was thinking 3 days was enough and best to avoid Saturday? Will Thurs-friday be okay to do most things in those 2 parks? (and Sunday as a mop up day)

Looks like we have to be involved with Dapper Days to take advantage of those rates, but thanks anyway! Will the parks be slammed because of Dapper Days?
You don't have to be "involved" with dapper days. There is nothing to register for you just book your hotel thru their site to get the discounted rate on the room.

My family will be there the 24-1 leaving the day of the actual event.

And yes the actual event day which is March 1 will be busy.

Oh ok. I read this in the fine print, I must have misunderstood:

"Only guests that are participating in this Special Event or convention are eligible to use this site in order to get access to the pre-blocked rooms and/or Theme Park Tickets at the special contracted rate. Your reservation and ticket order will be audited against the Special Event registration list and should it be necessary we reserve the right to contact you to request proof of registration. If it is discovered that the reservation and/or ticket order is not for a Special Event or convention participant, the reservations and/or ticket order will be cancelled, the tickets blocked (if applicable), and any deposit or payment will not be eligible for a refund."

The booking is through the Disney Meeting (convention) site, and that is the standard warning. Dapper Day is open to all.
