hi - I've not been here for a while as we don't have a WDW hol planned for this year. However we are looking at the possibility of an 8 night stay over the feb half term next year. I have been at this time of year but can't remember much about it. What are crowds & weather like? We would like to see some sun which is our prime reason for a hol in feb! I have priced up flights & hotel & can get a price of £1800 for direct flights & a cheap & cheerful stay at All Star Movies (no tix yet though). Anyone got a really good deal at this time of year or are my prices quite competitive? When would be the best time to look? Any sales coming up?

Hope someone can help!
Thanks
Gem

We went over Feb half term back in 2012. At the last minute I added a Disney Cruise as we managed to get a really cheap deal for a 3 day cruise in Feb. We left mid February and the 3 days we had before the cruise were freezing. It was the coldest I'd ever been in Florida, even having been in Nov/Dec in previous years. I remember contemplating going to the mall to buy some Ugg boots! All I had with me were 3/4 jeans and pump style shoes or flip flops and I was SO cold. When we returned from the cruise it was more like the weather I had been expecting and wore shorts and t-shirts along with flip flops and a hoodie in the early or ing and evenings. My children swam but I found it too cold to! I think you will miss Presidents Weekend as I believe it's mid Feb in 2016. It got VERY busy that weekend. We were staying at AKL but ventured out to the Mall during that weekend, what a mistake that was!!! All in all though, I would definitely go again in February. The crowd were great and it was certainly better weather than Feb here in the UK!!

We usually go in feb too...we like to run in the Princess half marathon weekend..its towards the end of Feb, whether can be mixed but usually crowds are light/

we went 2013 and it was so cold had to buy jumpers out there it was even to cold to watch the fire works at night. on the plus side it was quiet

The weather is a gamble, but I went to a Floridian beach in 2014 (though didn't do WDW) and it was 27-32 degrees every day

We been twice in February. The first time the temp was high 70s-to low 80s with no rain, second time it was mainly low to mid 50s, the life guards were all wearing ski jackets, but we still swam! If you are there Presidents weekend it will be busy from around Thursday to Tuesday as people take long weekend vacations, other than that it will be quiet. You will see a lot of Brits though as this time of year is popular

Hi - thanks for all your replies! Still not 100% sure about such a short break as were used to doing at least 10 nights but usually do 2 weeks. Think we may end up going somewhere closer in Feb & moving Disney to later in the year or the year after

I am considering this time to go to WDW as we own a DVC. It is right after the president's day holiday and all the kids are back in school in the USA. The crowd calendar has it as 2-3 all week for our half term holiday.

Holding me back is the huge cost of airline tickets and tickets to the park. I don't know how to get either of the prices down as there is no way around it.

After much deliberation we're gonna wait & not go Feb half term. I really like my 2 weeks & a week just wasn't going to cut it! Going to Tenerife in February now & will perhaps wait on Disney till i know more about the dates for all the new Hollywood studios expansion! Thanks for all your replies :-)
