Is there any way to find out how many seats are left on a flight?, looking at booking for next feb with Virgin for miles + money, but as we'll be booking the flights for all of us (my Mum & Dad), we'll have to do it in 2 hits as both my DH & I have miles but not enough each to book all 6 flights!, Also will virgin release any more m+m flights or will this be it?.

What dates and flight numbers, Karen? I subscribe to a site where I can check for you.

Hi Debbie, Looking at either.....wait for it Friday the 13th;) on VS073 , or Sunday the 15th on VS075 and returning on Monday the 2nd March on VS076, many thanks:goodvibes

Karen, there's loads of availability for the flights on 13th February and 2nd March (virtually empty flights). It won't return results for the 15th - the flight's there and it's showing availability, but I can't view the seat map. :confused3

Hi Debbie I wonder if you would mind checking availbility for me as well. We are planning to fly on Sunday 8th Feb and return on Friday 20th Feb, m+m. We've got the accomodation booked but we can't do flights until DH gets his bonus on the 24th of this month and it is making me anxious :scared1:

Do you ned to know the flight numbers? I think there is only one flight each day...

OK, well I can't get results for the VS15, but the earlier flight (VS27) is virtually empty (all but 3 seats still free). Same with the return flight - 18 seats currently showing as not available to book.

All these results are for Economy - if either of you needs information for other classes, let me know.

Hope you don't mind me hijacking the thread a little bit

I found a free tool for flight availability.
http://kvs.unrealnetwork.com/Tool/

It came up with these results.
I'm interested to know how it compares to Debs.

Basically lots of seats but none in the cheapest economy class (N)

Don't take this as gospel, I'm just interested in its accuracy as a freebie.

N is the Student Fare - not sure there's ever any availability in that class :confused3 .

7 seats is the most that will ever show in this format. So, if the plane is completely empty, you will still only see "7" against Class Code Y (Full Fare Economy), for example. It just means there are at least 7 seats in any given code. The site I subscribe to allows me to view seat maps.

Thanks Debbie and Jakey for your help. It looks pretty promising that we will get on the flights we want, we will be booking economy. I won't be able to relax though until we've booked, paid and got the comfirmation email.

Just as an aside when you're booking flights to book online or do you prefer to call. Are the prices the same or is there an online discount? I want to try and book the vroom so maybe I would be best to call them....

OMG I've just checked the flight details on the VA site again. LAst time I checked we could get our flights for just over £1200 now it is just over £1300 :scared1: Is it going to keep going up, how much will it be in just over 2 weeks time! I really wish there was a way we could book our flights now but there isn't.

Maybe you're right about the class N, I took it from searching the VA site for the 6th to 20th May 2008 under Economy (cheapest) option, as it currently offers the N class when you look at the fare breakdown tab, which I took as the lowest economy fare.
(just checked and it still does :confused3 )

Deb, would you mind sharing this site? it's something I would be interested in subscribing to, it would probably be worth it.

Thanks for the info Debbie:thumbsup2 , now to get things sorted!, do we go with Virgin or do we go indirect with BMI???, oh decisions decisions.....:surfweb:
