I'm trying to find a car for dh and me (so the smallest car is fine) for 2/16-2/22 - the best I can find is around $60/day!!!! :scared1:

Can anyone work their magic and find me a decent rate? I'm at a loss. I've tried codes and everything!

who did you try through?
I have a rental for I day in Feb. (I booked it back in Aug and the rate was 32.00 after tax) I think I just saw a rate of $40 for a small car when I was confirming my res. That was through Enterprise rental car.
Alamo wasn't too bad either. Good luck:thumbsup2

Try Budget if you've already tried Alamo with two codes. I just received an email from them stating you can rent at special rates for the next four days only. I can forward it to you if you pm me.

We do priceline every time and never had problems, and get great rates

Try carrentals.com another nice poster shared this website and we found a great 9 day full size rental for the same week as you - $278. tax included - we are picking it up at the former Grosvenor Hotel across from Downtown Disney. It was far too expensive at the airport, so we have a towncar picking us up at the airport. Still was less expensive. For whatever reason ,the car rental escaped my mind until early Dec - then all coupons were used up for the rental companies.
Hope this helps.

Good luck! You're going down during President's Week - which will be busy down there and a lot of codes/coupons have black out dates which might include these dates. Please try through Thrifty with the Orlando Magicard (corp code 004M001010) - right now they're showing a base rate of $130 for your dates for a compact. With taxes etc it should come out to around $170.

If you do go with Thrifty, they are off-site but they have a shuttle to bring you to their facility. If you join their BlueChip program, you'll have a shorter wait since there's a special line for BlueChip members. Make sure you tell the bus driver you have a blue chip reservation and they'll radio it in to the facility so there's a car waiting for you when you arrive.

Hope this helps!!

I just checked that site for what I was looking for, and it was definitely cheaper than anything else I've seen!

QT Pooh -

Thanks - I "ran" to Thrifty's site and booked with your code. I'm a huge Thrifty fan and already a BC member - in fact, I had one rental booked for 2/17-2/22 for $10 MORE than I could get with your code starting instead on 2/16! So, now we have a car for the full vacation and to go to Epcot WS for yummy food the night we get in!!!!

Thanks!

QT Pooh: more thanks for the Thrifty code. I had a one day Alamo rental for $70, but now have a car our whole stay for $156, including tax.

lovingthemouse: we've got to get together, I'll pm you -- we're at OKW Sunday to Friday.
