JUST booked this cruise last night!

For now, it's me, DH, DS 7 & DS 3 (at cruise time)...though our party may be growing.

We're so excited! It will be our 1st Disney cruise! We just got back from WDW on our 1st trip and obviously loved it. We're ready to go sea bound though so, for now I'll be saturating my brain with all the new DCL lingo and fun stuff. We'd love to jump in on a FE list. The kids will love that.

Can't wait to follow all the goodness over the next 11 months. Just wish it was a little sooner.

Hi everyone! We just booked this morning and will be joining you all on this trip! We were booked on a 3-night on the Dream, but we've changed plans and decided to take the longer cruise.
It will be myself, dh, ds(8), dd(4). So excited to join you all! We were on the Magic this past February for Valentine's and really enjoyed it.

Cruise Meet threads are doing just fine still managing meet and FE discussions right here on the DIS as they have since FE began (also here on the DIS).

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin with child ages for age appropriate gift giving. Other information you would like to share such as names, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM.

Great! Thanks!! One more note - if you would like to provide a last name and hometown, that may be helpful. Some people do cabin gifts and add the last name for the family. I'm also making stateroom magnets if people would like one so I can make on with your last name if you'd like!

As for FE ideas/hints....there are tons of options. It's all about having fun. You can search online for ideas. We really don't have any set rules. Deliver when you want during the cruise. If you want to do something for Valentine's Day, some people have discussed doing an extra treat....nothing mandatory, but since we are cruising for Valentines - it was mentioned that it may be fun to have an extra little drop off....again, totally optional!

So far, a few are 5 other cabins in your FE group. Most are adults sailing without kids, but there is one more with a daughter the same age as your daughter! I will send you a list with their info and keep you updated as the group fills.

The FE is a lot of fun - don't let it stress you out....it's just meant to be fun!!!

Oh, we are also scheduling a Meet and Greet on embarkation day. It will probably take place around 2:30pm on the ship and it will end just before the life boat drill. More details will come as we get our assigned time.

And also, for the adults, we are pulling together a mixology class. It's basically a bartending class where you learn to make several drinks and get to drink some as well. It's $15 per person and I'll need info/commitment a week or two before we sail. Let me know if that interests you!

Welcome! I'm Rebekah. Cruising with my husband, son ( 8), daughter (4), and now my parents are joining us, too!

Basically, for the FE - the same as what I told Jeannette...we have four FE groups right now. Three are full and we are adding to the 4th. There are typically 8 cabins in each group so they're pretty small.
If you'd like to join, please let me know the following.
* your family's name along with the first names for each of you and the ages of your children.
* stateroom number
* late or early dining
* hometown
* any allergies we should be sensitive to
* email address

We are also doing a mixology which will be a private bartending class. It's $15 per person and I'll need a commitment a couple of weeks before the class. I should know the date/time in a few weeks and will email everyone with details. We will probably have two classes since there's a lot of interest for that and the max number is 40. Stay tuned!

We also have a meet and greet to get to know the cruisers in our groups. It will be on embarkation day before lifeboat drill. Location TBA!
