We will be traveling with our 3 boys ages 13-8 (the youngest will be turning 9 on the cruise) This is our first cruise as well. Will def have to swap info. My boys are really into sports etc etc. They are a little nervous as to why mom & dad are taking them on a disney cruise. Believe we are on deck 8. Counting down the days!!

I have a 12 year old who likes the clubs and really enjoys doing things with others on the ship.

I can set up an email account (monitored) if they want to talk before the cruise.....

When do you need a definite answer on the FE? We are still cruising, but have not decided if I will have enough time for the FE with all the holiday activities and such

I'd like to know by a month before we sail so that everyone participating will have enough time to prepare for it. If you think you will likely participate, let me know and I'll add you to the list for now. I think it will be easier if people sign up sooner than later.

Remember that you don't need to stress too much about the gifts. On my most recent cruise, we received some homemade autograph books, a homemade recipe book, bookmarks, mini scrapbooks, magnets, a magnetic wipe off board, treats, little toys, crayons and a little notepad, beach ball, rubber duckies for the tub, glow bracelets, pirate trinkets, dollar store (they often have some Disney stuff) or oriental trading company type stuff, something from people's home towns, etc. Some people personalize the gifts, some do one for each person, some do one for each cabin, some do different things for different ages. You can do whatever you want, just have fun with it.

FE stands for Fish Extenders. Just outside each stateroom door on the ship is a little decorative fish that DCL uses to put mail (announcements, flyers, etc) on for your room. I don't know how it all started, but some people started making these fish extenders for a little gift exchange between people. They are just little pockets that you hang from the fish. Then, some cruise meets do a Fish Extender swap where you take inexpensive little gifts (homemade items, glow bracelets, treats, whatever) to other DISers and they take them to you, so it is a fun surprise throughout the ship. There might be 10 staterooms participating or there might be 30 (that's how many did it on my November cruise). The cruises on the Wonder are typically smaller FE groups. So, I made 30 little gifts to drop off to the other DISers on my November cruise. Some people do one gift per person, some do one per stateroom. People with kids especially like to do this because the kids get such a kick out of the surprises, but so many of us are kids at heart that a lot of just adults participate too (which I would encourage). Mine is sitting in the hot tub during the sail away party and realizing that I'm officially on vacation and I don't have to figure out where to go or what to cook for dinner.

I just added another to our FE list--hooray! I'll be in touch with more details to those of you who have signed up as we get closer to the cruise. Basically, I need to wait until they make room assignments for those of us with Guarantee rooms before sending all of the info to each of you. Hopefully that will be around 30-45 days before the cruise.

What am I most looking forward to?

Hmmm...never cruised before so I'm still trying to let the excitement overrule the anxiety!

Looking forward to time alone with my DH- we're leaving the kids behind!!! If we find we love cruising we're talking of doing a Mexican Riv with them in the future (since we wouldn't need airfare!)
