Feb. 7, 2008 3 night wonder...Anyone???

Good luck hooneymooners:love:

Thanks I will need it, i mentioned it to my dw and she said calm down. I think you are getting the Disney fever again. I mentioned that i have had it since our first trip In March(something about Disney), rebooking something is a good way to keep the magic going. We can reschedule for later years as they become available, maybe for the new ships.

Is it too late to cancel one person's reservation? MIL just emailed me telling me her husband may not be able to go... and can't confirm either way untill next weekend. :sad2: Why me why....... :headache:

I need a plan B in case he can't go, anyone has any idea?
What happen if he can't go, can MIL stay in the stateroom by herself?
If I find someone else to take his place, is that allowed?

ok, why not til next weekend? Puts you in a week of limbo and worry...I am not sure how cancellation works, call DCL or DVC Member services for perhaps some answers to "What IF' questions.

THis may help a bit....maybe someone else here knows....it will all work out Peter!!!

Well basically he just had a job interview, and got the standard "We'll let you know" at the end. So while he is waiting for the phone call, we have to wait and see what will happen.

I tried to call MS but they don't open Sunday (yet), called DCL and they said they can't help because I used my DVC points for the cruise.

I'll try call them tomorrow again.

Hey has anyone got a Disney Dining Experience card? I have been thinking the past few days I should get an AP and DDE. We'll have 8 (or maybe 7) in our party this time, and i am thinking about taking my mom to WDW this October for 4 ~ 5 nights, and next Feb just me and DH for a weekend. We usually eat lunch at CS, and dinner at TS. Does it worth it to get DDE?

Small Update from the UK!!! lol

We will not be doing a Safari at AK now on the morning of our departure.
So am hoping that I can chat up DB for 8.30am breakfast . . .
We are going to check our baggage in at Cirque Du Soleil and then go back to AK to 'chill'. We then do not have to be back for our plane until 6PM - that will then give us more time at the parks...
Otherwise we have to check in at just after 4pm...

HELP!! Not enough hours in a day!!!

I agree!! I LOVE doing the cruise, but it makes you jam-pack the rest of the week when you are doing the parks!!

Well, I (somewhat) finished my fish extender this weekend.....it doesn't look too bad....but the pockets may fall off with the first thing put in it!:rotfl: I think I could have bought one for less than it took me to put it together! Oh well - it was fun.

Tinks - what happen to the pics of the kitchen? Inquiring minds want to know!popcorn::

Jon...how convenient! I really thought it strange abt the luggage thing!! lol Sorry for whatever jokes I may have thought quietly!!! lol Cirque...luggage???? Well you are most definately going to have time for a breakfast now arent you??
As Mom2PK said.....there are not enough hours in a day, and the rest of your trip is jam packed!! At least relax on the cruise....

Mom2PK......well at least you made the effort og making one!! I didnt even try! lol I wont put any Heavy stuff in yours.....like Chicago chocolates!!! lol

We should add to our list of when everyone is leaving....I know you and Jon are...I am sounding like a broken record.....I should go thru the thread and put it in my notebook....will I be the only one left on the boards??lol We leave bright and early Feb 6...

Ok...Ava is destroying my bulletin board....

Mom2pk - Tell us about it!!! Any chance of making 1-12th february in 30 hour days???? Can you wave your magic wand?

DB - We will happily take on any chocolate that can not fit in Mom2pk's fish extender!!! We would NEVER turn down chocolate:banana:

The luggage thing is good, we can check our luggage in around 8.30-9am. When would be best for you for brekkie????:confused3

Not sure about "brekkie"...lol...I am thinking around am...oops....lol...(9)..A quick call to room service the night before should work....just kidding!

I already have lots of chocolates! Hidden away, so DS and DD wont eat them before the cruise!!

So we got some snow last night....bitter cold....kids hoping for a snow day...no such luck for them!

We are getting to the 2 week mark, some sooner...I must start getting organized!! Have purchased everything we need.....just a matter of clothes...etc....
Ava dropped our brand new Motorola walkie talkie's in the toilet yesterday! That was fun....$70 down the drain...will try to take them back.

Thanks for the update, is it possible to make brekkie half nine? That way we can go check our luggage in and then come back to you guys, checkout etc after getting rid of our luggage???
You will have to get us a couple of pics of the snow you have had - we do not get it that often anymore!!!!! Once a year if we are lucky!

We are at the 9/10 days to go mark and the countdown has well and truly begun, so much so we are leaving next Friday!!!:dance3: :dance3:

As for the chocolate we will have to bring you some Cadbury's Dairy Milk - a completely different taste to Hershey's!!!

We are trying (DG is complaining and fighting it!) to wait until we get there to finish clothes shopping - I can not see the point when its soo much cheaper there but you know what women are like!

As for the Walkie Talkie's, I am 95% sure I have a set here (2 handsets), if you let me know asap I will TRY and find them for you - no promises though, but it might help.

I just finished talking to MS, and found out there is a penalty one way or other if MIL's husband decide not to go:

If we find someone else to take his place, that's a cancellation and a re-booking, meaning the replacement has to pay another full set of Reservation Points, on top of losing 50% of the points already paid for him, and $75 transaction fee.

If we just cancel his reservation and have MIL stay in the room by herself, then they will charge us a different single occupancy rate for her, which means need more points, on top of losing 50% of the points we already paid for her husband's spot. Plus $75 transaction fee.

Why.... why me...why........:headache:

Ding don... who is there? THE UPS MAN!
I have now in my hand the travel documents!

Well, everyone think good thoughts for TLPL's MIL's husband...please!!!!!!

Dont want him to lose points etc!!!! Ugh..same as losing money!!!

Well, my UPS man was here today already, but just Ava's pair of Teva sandals...:) They match her Ariel swimsuit perfect:) Anyone else get their documents?? Canada must be quicker on things...I still dont have my planner (DVC)!!!

Jon whatever time you said was fine...we will get it together...

Oh, I would not buy clothes once I arrived at vacation destination...lol...have to have them BEFORE...but have no objections to buying additional clothes while on vacation!!! Hope that helps!! LOL

1) TLPL - hoping your MIL's husband is able to go.... I am stressing a bit myself as my FIL is in the hospital and is not doing well (he constantly battles congestive heart failure)-makes for a stressful vacation (and pre-vacation). I hope all works out for you.

2) I will put extra glue in my pockets to hold all the yummy chocolate - plus, being from Mobile-the home of Mardi Gras, we are quite familiar with the concept of grabbing goodies on the ground in case they fall through! :)

3) No sighting of the UPS man!

4) DB - sorry to hear about your Walkie Talkie! What a bummer - hope you can exchange them. Just get them good and dry before you take them in!

5) Jon - I agree with DB: buying clothes while ON vacation has nothing to do with the need to buy clothes FOR the vacation. Two totally different transactions!

1) Thoughts and best wishes to TLPL, hoping all goes well!!!
2) Look extra glue, surely there is rules about taking that on board - so you can not take any with you - sorry.
3) No delivery here at all yet!
4) ITS NOT TWO TRANSACTIONS - WOMEN!:scared: :scared: :scared:
