I think I found this site too late! We're booked to sail on Saturday for the Western Caribbean Disney Cruise. We've done the four and three day before but this is our first seven day.

We haven't booked any excursions yet, I'm waiting to see if the water is going to be too cold for snorkeling.

We're considering going to Paradise Beach in Cozumel if it's not too cold for swimming, my sons saw the jumping things on the website and want to try it. Has anyone ever gone there before?

I remember you saying that your son Will is having his 9th birthday on the cruise. Which day is it as my sons will want to deliver a birthday card on that day. My 9 year old will be excited that there will be kids his age to hang around with at the clubs.
Both boys are still cluelesss that we are going on a trip. It has been very hard hiding all the luggage from them. lots of late night packing for us. I think it will be worth it to see the look on their faces Thursday morning when we head to the airport.
Is anyone else staying at the Country Inn and Suites? We are staying for 2 nights and checking out the area to pick up some wine etc.. before the cruise.

Will's birthday is on Fri, the 12th, our Castaway Cay day. Thanks for thinking of him!

What is your 9-year-old into? Will is into legos (esp. Star Wars), nerf, his DS, and sports. Right now he's playing basketball with our town's parks & rec dept.

We are staying at the Residence Inn. I've heard great things about all of the main choices for lodging at CC, so I don't think you can go wrong! We are also planning to pick up wine while in the area -- right now I'm planning on hitting the Super WalMart, they are sure to have great prices. I'm hoping to pick up a couple of boxes (preferably the small size) of wine so I don't have to worry about a corkscrew, freshness, etc... we won't be bringing any bottles to dinner with us.

I haven't been to Paradise Beach before but have read decent things about it. We are heading to Chankaanab Park to swim with dolphins so we might have save Paradise Beach for another cruise

Lost was awesome! I can't believe the 2 hours went by so fast!!! I wish they would show the episode next week in the Buena Vista Theater...now that would be cool! The big screen by the pool would be neat...but I need it to be quiet so I can concentrate when I watch Lost!

Yes, it was great! As usual, many questions were answered, but many weren't, and now we have new things to wonder about...

We are setting our DVR to record everything while we are gone -- too hard to concentrate on board... we are missing a lot, though; since it's February sweeps month probably all of the shows will have new episodes, so we're going to have a TON to catch up on when we return. AND the new Survivor season is starting!

We went in 08 and the kids had a great time. They have a bar and the food was good!

The last cruise that we took the kids on we kept a secret until we were heading over the bridge into the port. We told them we were going to stay at a friend's house for a few days, hence the luggage. My daughter who was about 12 at the time figured it out ahead of time but the boys were surprised!I was playing hangman with them and as we got close I did "We are going on the Disney Cruise" and the video of them figuring it out is priceless. They started jumping up and down in their seats & freaking out. It was great.

WOW! Our son sounds like a twin to yours. He is into Legos also and he has quite a Star Wars lego collection. His second best thing to play is Nerf dart guns with his brother as the target. He will be bringing his DS on the cruise and he plays on a Rep basketball team. He is going to be a little upset when he finds out he will miss a tournament next weekend. Or maybe not as I think he will be having too much fun to think about basketball.

How far is the Super Walmart from CC? We arrive tomorrow and we plan on renting a car Friday and touring the area. The Dinosaur store is a must on our list as our 4 year old loves dinosaurs.

The hangman idea sounds like a good idea. We are definately going to videotape the boys reaction tomorrow morning when we tell them where we are going.

superwalmart is only about 10-12 minutes from the port....easy to find....
