Feb 5th - 12th 2012 Mexican Riviera on the Disney Wonder

Question of the Day: Friday, January 27

What is your cell phone number? We're trying to gather one cell phone number per group. There may be a need to reschedule the group meet up depending on the schedule they release at port. Your cell phones will still work as it normally would at port (until we sail 10-20 miles out to see), so you needn't shut your phone off until the ship actually starts moving. Please private message me your numbers.

And just in case this doesn't fill your QOTD needs: Who is your favorite character?

I think its Cinderella for me. She was the very first Disney princess I was exposed to. Hubby loves Ariel, gee I wonder why. DD loves Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, Lightning McQueen and Nemo.

No contest...Eeyore:cheer2:

Welcome!

We are doing vagabond. Great special with parking included. I've heard Crowne and Doubletree are good too.

Did you get a special rate or something? What made you book thus late?

Brian,
We're at Vegabond too. Kirsten and her family will be there around 3:00 on Saturday. Just look for 7 people all hanging out. My son and I come in around 6:00. We have a basketball game in the morning so we'll be there later. We're thinking of having dinner at Acapulco that night. Good Mexican food!

Oh! and my favorite character is Ariel! The kids asked us who are favorite princess was and I told them that I thought Ariel was hot! It was so funny! they laughed and teased me the whole cruise.

If you have extra room in your luggage, I'll bring my DS's shirt & neckerchief & slide for a fun photo! Let me know please!

I've got the shirt/neckerchief/slide ready for packing! DS thought it would be cool to meet other Tigers/international scouts.

What do you get for 10 post? I just passed 10...

You get to Private Message (PM) others. Most people hardly use it except to pass private messages between each other. Personal things, etc.

You also now earned the all you can eat cruise in 8 days. Congratulations!

We were able to spend a week in Spokane a number of years back now, when DD21 was 14. She was there for US Soccer Region IV regionals. We stayed at a KOA, took the bike path along the river to her games every day....it was beautiful! :thumbsup2 And her college roommates hometown is Spokane!

Spokane is nice... for a week! Naw, I shouldn't say that except I really don't like being sooooo cold. The Spokane River is beautiful to walk/bike along! Looking foward to some warmth and sunshine!

Down next to the Quote, the one next to it says "+, that is the one you want if you want to reply to multiple quotes. So you hit it, and it'll turn red, keep hitting all the posts you want to reply to then down at the bottom hit the quote or reply at the bottom AFTER all the posts. Down on the left side. :)

O.K. thanks! I'm trying it right now. I feel like such a dork.

I was raised in Tillamook...home of the one and only Tillamook Cheese, aka best cheese on the planet, and if you care to differ, we probably shouldn't be friends. :) The town is very small and smells like cow manure all the time. They also make the BEST ice cream ever... I think it's only on the west coast, but if you ever get a chance to try Udderly Chocolate (previously known as Brown Cow) ice cream, you will fall in love.

Was there with Krilper and our families a few years back. Loved it and LOVE Tillamook cheese, ice cream and butter!

Such hostility... This is to you family right?? :rotfl2:

I might not be saying hi, I might be throwing up from how cute you two will be. :) JK...CONGRATS!!!! I still vote you say hi at the meet even just at the port, just so you have a few familiar faces. But we know you guys will not really be seeing the outside of the ship anyways... let's just be honest here. :thumbsup2

It seems like most of you are pretty good researchers...So I'm not sure there is anything you don't know about already, that is super top secret. We like to make ice cream sandwiches by ordering cookies from room service and then going and getting soft serve and putting it in the middle, it's a delightful mess, but SOOOOO good!!!

I forgot to quote the other one to rms123... it looks like there are still some rooms available for Parties of 3, so you'll just ask when you get to the port, it's usually "around" 50% off the rack rate of the difference between what you paid for and what you want to get.
Same thing happened to me with check in, it seems as though they aren't enforcing the rule about check in times too strict on the west coast and the smaller ships. It's mostly for the Dream... I'm planning on showing up early! :)

We just asked on our lasts cruise and we got it at a super good price. Can't hurt to ask!

Sweet, I am going to stop eating now so I can let it rip when we get there.

What is the next level I need to get to?

Good Morning fellow cruisers! We now have only

DAYS until we sail!! :cool1::banana:

1. Lilow's son's name is Zach not Jack

2. Please check the spreadsheet on Sunday morning for final details. Some from the early group have also joined the late group and are partaking in both. There have been additions to the late group.

3. Midnight, Pacific Time is your absolute last opportunity for any more changes on the spreadsheet (with the exception of room numbers at port). Check your names, ages, color category, anything that is important to you.

4. I still need cell phone numbers from Nelson Family & Meikles!

Question of the Day: Saturday, January 28

Will you partake in the local flavor? Are you brave enough to eat what the locals eat?

We indeed will be tracking down some local flavor. I've been on frommers, zagat, yelp and message boards trying to track down good (yet safe) hole in the walls and restaurants. I'm looking forward to some Mexican coconut candy, aguas frescas, street tacos, ceviche & shrimp cocktails.

I will try to look for some local stuff, but I'm not too brave. I know I want vanilla, it has so much more flavor. I want to do some souvenir shopping...I know some of the people who have a sweet tooth that I would take stuff for...guess I am going to play it by ear.

I am looking forward to street tacos and cabo corn and I can't wait to find the largest sombrero possible.

If you add me on facebook, Linda Ly, you send me a message. Or, you can post two more messages on the Disboards, you'll be able to private message me. Or, look up my website, www.grandsoirees.com and my email is listed on there. I don't want to type it out on a public forum and have spam sent to it.
