Feb 5th - 12th 2012 Mexican Riviera on the Disney Wonder

Question of the Day: Tuesday, January 24

How do you plan on spending your time on the ship? Do some of the veteran cruisers have advice for us newbies on things we may not think of doing?

We're planning on doing plenty of eating, pool time, open house at the kid's club, shows, the scavenger hunt, dolphin watching and character hunting :-)

Eating, swimming, eating, watching a movie on funnelvision, eating, learning to draw Mickey, eating, doing many family-based activities in Wavebands, eating, playing games in Diversions, eating, playing pingpong and shuffleboard, eating, seeing the evening shows, eating, going to the adult shows + games late at night, and eating.

I may skip the extra stuff between meals though.

Excellent plan! :rotfl2:

As a newbie myself, I'm not sure of all the things I'm going to do.

I know my ds7 wants to try the pools  (he's never been swimming outdoors! Alaskan waters are on the cool side even in the summer!). I'm hoping that he will want to come see at least one of the shows (I've told him it will help him earn one of his Tiger Scout electives). And I'm also hoping that my ds7 will want to be glued to the clubs a lot so I can go have some "Mommy" time with my friend Lori and other adults! :woohoo:

Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?

I think I'm starting to get anxious for this trip.

What aren't we there yet?!

I've started laying out clothes and the suitcases are out!!!

My DS is a Tiger Cub too. How many other Cub Scouts do we have coming along? I'm his den leader and think it would be kinda cool for him to get a photo with Tigers from far away lands...like Anchorage...right by Russia...:upsidedow

I'll be doing what Brent's doing, except I'd like to eat some too.

I don't know that my Bride and I will meet up with this awesome party - considering it's our honeymoon, we just want to spend a romantic week together... but hey, if you see a tall guy and a shorter beautiful girl with brown curly hair and they look madly and love and like they're attached at the hips... that's most likely us! So say hi!:love:

QotD: Ditto, Brent!!! Couldnt have said it better myself!

Since we have only gotten thru letter "F", we will just continue with yesterdays Trivia........

Anyone up to try G?

Hey
We really do not know what to expect so will just see what happens onboard but plenty of eating and drinking!!!!- havent even booked excursions yet. Think we may do that onboard!

So I managed to pack the kids stuff under the 'lets sort out your closets' excuse. They still have no idea and I am bursting to tell them :yay:. Just over a week before I can tell em!!!!!!!

Did any of you guys watch Cake Boss last night. Think he was on the Dream and it made me sooooooo excited - as if I am not enough already!

You're doing great Nikki, almost there!!!

We watched and taped it! Actually watching it again now with DS17, he missed it last night. But we were just on the Dream this past July, fun to watch!

Were going to give the "G"s a shot here:

Goofy
Gepetto
Guido
Gaston
Gopher

Go ahead and add if you can think of more!

Whos up for "H"?

Gee, are you saying to pack his scout shirt?

...like Anchorage...right by Russia...:upsidedow

No, no, no. It's Wasilla that's right by Russia! :upsidedow At least according to Tina Fey...:rotfl:

Question of the Day: Friday, January 20

Will you be keeping your regularly scheduled programming? Are you going to rise early to take advantage of all that the ship offers? Will you be sleeping in because, after all, what is a vaca for? Will you rise as your usual circadian rhythm dictates?

Every weekday my alarm goes off at 6AM CST and I drag myself off to work. On weekends, I wake up at 6:30 naturally and feel completely alive. When we went to Vancouver last year, my body transitioned immediately and I was waking up at 6:30 their time. Hopefully that happens again. I'll just sneak out of the room and do laundry or grab something at Outlook.

Question of the Day: Saturday, January 21

Are you looking forward to any shopping in Mexico?

I am more interested in their local lifestyle than their tourist area. If I see a real local store (like a grocery store or electronics store) that is in a safe spot I would love to see that and compare offerings. I'm not going to wander in Mexico like I did in Alaska though.

Question of the Day: Sunday, January 22

Who is planning on booking another cruise on board to take advantage of the bonuses offered? Do you know which cruise you plan on booking?

I'm going to adjust my placeholder date, and possibly hit a second placeholder in case I can arrange a B2B.

Question of the Day: Monday, January 23

Who is going overboard for pirate night?

We're all dressing up, but I would have to be *really* hammered to actually go overboard. :gettingstomachpumpedsmiley: We'll see!

Again without Google at my side I'm functionally illiterate, but I think the bird from Aladin's name starts with an I... Iago or something like that...

:lmao: :thumbsup2 You are correct! See, you dont need Google!

J is next!!
