Feb 5th - 12th 2012 Mexican Riviera on the Disney Wonder

Ok so we just did our very first cruise on the new years eve dream cruise, and we are now officially addicted! Our ten year anniversary is the 16th of feb so dh said he was trying to surprise me with a trip. We really don't have anyone to watch our son so I knew this was the best way to go was a family cruise. Crazy it hasn't even been 6 weeks. I'm barely even unpacked from the last one. I am a research junkie so I feel very unprepared but excited. Ok I'm sorry I'm babbling in excitement:cool1:

I am so happy to see all the people on this cruise thread there wasnt much on the dream cruise. I am a people person and am really hoping to make some new friends to hang out with once in a while. There seems to be tons of kids the same age so that thrills me. We have one boy 7 years old(8 in April) dh is 41 and me 39. Seems to be a lot of canadians on here as well.

Here are a few things I need to get figured out fairly quick, trying to book flights looks like we fly in late on the 4th. Stay at an airport hotel and take disney bus in the morning? Yes ? NO? I really need to get stuff figured out, next important question somewhere close to airport hotel to grab some alcohol for onboard?
Looking forwardto meeting everyone, trying to read thru all your posts you guys are a busy bunch!! Its great

Okay, so having never been to Mexico, what is the deal with vanilla, and everyone picking it up?? I wanna know, i wanna know!!!

Qotd... shopping, nah, working in retail i really am not a huge shopper. I'm not into collecting knick knacks, so the only real shopping i will be doing, is for a new dcl shirt or sweatshirt or something.

We will be booking another cruise online! No idea which one, probably same as Linda, and do a dummy cruise just to make sure I get my discount. Gotta remember to book earlier though, that line gets so so long!!!!

To the newbie, I'm gonna probably say you are too late. Most cruises stop entrance into fe gifts 4-6 weeks out, people are making things and we've already set the final count. Those of you who were too late could def do your own fe exchange though.

Tiana....has she been played already??

How many were too late? I know our room was with me, Lori (msttfn) & DS7. :sad1: We are still going to go "fishing" with an FE though and have bought some gifts!

We could possibly do a late FE group if we have enough people interested and sprinkle the fun with the earlier as supplies permit. I fully understand trying the limit the group size because buying/making things for a large group can get pricey.

(started packing for Disneyland today!!!!!)

Here's what i propose. All of the late fe people, send me your real names and ages, room # and I will add you to our spreadsheet on google docs. You will be color coded differently. I will get one gift per cabin for the new people. I already finished most of my crafting so I am going to pick a new project for the new people. Anyone who will be adding the new people, let me know and I will color coded you accordingly. Color one is early group, color two is late group and color 3 both groups.

It sounds like Alberta will be well represented on the cruise! There are a number of folks coming from there.

I will be coming from Anchorage, Alaska with my 7yr son.
