Feb.4,2006. Who else is sailing?

Debi,

I heard that we have a chance to be able to book Palo once on board. I really hope so because My DH and myself enjoyed our brunch, the last time we even saw a whale! :earsgirl:

Tonya

Tonya,

I could kick myself for not making reservations at Palo online when it first opened up for us. I wasn't sure if I wanted to try to fit it in. Oh well. I really am going to try to watch what I eat on board. I have lost 30 pounds in the past 6 months and don't want to gain it all back in a week. :) So... if we don't get to Palo I guess it will be ok.

What fun things do you have planned for your cruise?
Debi

Debi,

We have a few things planned in St. Thomas we are doing the Doubloon Sail and Snorkel Tour. It's a 65 ft classic schooner that takes you to Turtle Cove at Buck Island where you can swim or snorkel. Or like myself stay on board and enjoy the rum punch that they will be serving(included in price) and so is the snack that they will serve. Then in castaway cay my DH and DS will do the stingray feed and snorkel. My daughter will probably have her hair braided sometime. I parasailed on castaway cay the last time we went but I'm not sure I will do that again even though I enjoyed it greatly. I really just want to relax go dancing and just veg this time. Last time I tried to attend several things and the time just flew by. What do you have planned for your excursions?

Palo's, I really hope to get to it. I have tried for several months to lose some weight and though I have lost some, not everything I am just going to work on getting some more off before the cruise and enjoy myself modestly while I am there. ::MinnieMo

Ok I called Disney to upgrade our cabin and Disney is telling me that they are booked for cabins with verandah's. Now we are on a waiting list. We originally booked an oceanview because we were worried about the kids and having a verandah but when my DH and I went on RC to Bermuda this year we had a verandah and it was wonderful, I was crazy not to book one for our Disney cruise. So now we are kicking ourselves!!!! Hopefully with a little luck and pixie dust Disney will come through!!!!!

I just checked the Disney website and it looks like they have Cat 6's available. I think that it is only the Navigator Verandahs that are sold out. I think you will get the room you want.

When I log onto the web site Feb 4th sailing doesn't even come up.

I show Cat. 8, 6, 5, & 4 when I check for 2 adults. I don't know if your kids' age group is full, but that shouldn't affect an existing reservation. I'd call again -- let them know the web site shows availability.

I called them today and they are still telling me that they are booked and have no rooms with verandah's that will accomidate 4 people. When I log onto the Disney website I can't even aquire for our sailing because the Feb 4th eastern does not even show up. I guess I have I will be calling everyday to see if anything becomes available. But thanks for the info!

Ok, for everyone with young children and have cruised before what should I do regarding a stroller? My children are 2 years 9 months and 5 years old. Do I need to bring a stroller on the ship???? Any advice would be greatly appreciated since this will be our first cruise with the children. I thought about just bringing an umbrella stroller for my 2 year old. When we go to Disney every year we bring the double stroller but I just can't imagine having to lug that thing on the ship and having it take up space in our room.

We borrowed a stroller from DCL last year - $50 deposit that we got back - so it was easy. It was bigger than an umbrella stroller, but it wasn't a big one. It was not bad to store in the room (cat 4) but I think a double stroller would make things really cramped!! If you're flying or coming early and need the umbrella stroller for the airport, then just bring it. But if not, I wouldn't go through the trouble - just borrow one on board.

Hey all - Jeanette and Marcy in particular: I know we said we'd meet at 2:30 at the Mickey Pool, but in case you haven't seen it yet, Bill (Billinaz) invited us all to his suite for a meet at 2:30 - which I think would be really fun and the kids can meet there.

and reply there or on here and let me know if this switch works for you...

One more question for today - then I think I'm done until tomorrow anyway... :)

Are any of you guys making a magnetic door sign that so many other Diser's refer to? I was thinking about it if I have time in the next 37 days!! But it's not high on the priority list. Then again, I don't want my kids to ask why we don't have one if all of their new friends do...

Oh, I'm definitely making magnets. Here's our door from the 10-night cruise...

...And a closer look at the individual magnets (I printed on one sheet, and cut them out).

Obviously the Feb. theme will be different!

My husband surprised us all with our FIRST Disney cruise and we can't wait! DD is 6 and all she talks about is the Oceaneer Clubs, my DS who is 10 hasn't said much at all about the Oceaneer lab. I am sure we will all have a great time, now if time could just go a little faster.........February 4 seems like so far away!

Hello Everyone!! Merry belated Christmas! Well Santa arrived at our house and now the kids are asking when we are leaving for the Mickey boat! Not soon enough! I am sooooo looking forward to the cruise! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!

Yes, Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah and Happy Solstice to everyone!

We are definitely in the "oh my it's close" stage. We got dd a new autograph book for Christmas -- one with spaces for photos -- and now she's even more excited for the cruise.

And I'm looking forward to trolling the post-Christmas sales for some good cruise wear . . .
